2. Question: In what great work is manifested
the power of God through Christ?

3. Answer: Colossians 1:16, 17
For by him were all things created, that are in
heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible,
whether they be thrones, or dominions, or
principalities, or powers: all things were created
by him, and for him:
17 And he is before all things, and by him all
things consist.

4. Question: What has been done for believing
sinners through Him?

5. Answer: Ephesians 2:10
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ
Jesus unto good works, which God hath before
ordained that we should walk in them.

6. Question: What is God's memorial of this creative
power?

7. Answer: Exodus 20: 8-11.
8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord
thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor
thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy
maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is
within thy gates:
11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and
earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested
the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the
sabbath day, and hallowed it.

8. Question: Of what does the Sabbath become a
constant memorial and sign to the child of faith ?

9. Answer: Ezekiel 20:12, 20.
12 Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be
a sign between me and them, that they might
know that I am the Lord that sanctify them.
20 And hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a
sign between me and you, that ye may know that I
am the Lord your God.

10. Question: What is God's object in thus revealing
His power?

11. Answer: Acts 26:18.
18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from
darkness to light, and from the power of Satan
unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of
sins, and inheritance among them which are
sanctified by faith that is in me.

12. Question: Will all accept of this salvation ?

13. Answer: Matthew 7:13, 14.
13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the
gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to
destruction, and many there be which go in
thereat:
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the
way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that
find it.

14. Question: Can not all accept it? Is not this God's
desire?

15. Answer: John 3:16, 1 Timothy 2:4.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his
only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in
him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to
come unto the knowledge of the truth.

16. Question: For how many, then, should we pray
and labour?

17. Answer: 1 Timothy 2:1, 2, 3, Revelation 14:6.
I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications,
prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be
made for all men; 2 For kings, and for all that are
in authority; that we may lead a quiet and
peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. 3 For
this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our
Saviour;
6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of
heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach
unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every
nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people

18. Question: What then is the ultimate object of the
gospel?

19. Answer: Ephesians 1: 9, 10.
9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his
will, according to his good pleasure which he hath
purposed in himself:
10 That in the dispensation of the fullness of times
he might gather together in one all things in Christ,
both which are in heaven, and which are on earth;
even in him:

20. Question: For what did our Savior pray ?

21. Answer: John 17:20-23.
20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also
which shall believe on me through their word;
21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art
in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in
us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent
me.
22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have
given them; that they may be one, even as we are
one:
23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be
made perfect in one; and that the world may know
that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as
thou hast loved me.

23. Answer: 1 Corinthians 1:10.
10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of
our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same
thing, and that there be no divisions among you;
but that ye be perfectly joined together in the
same mind and in the same judgment.

24. Question: By what is this unity to be
accomplished?

25. Answer: 1 Corinthians 12:13.
For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one
body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether
we be bond or free; and have been all made to
drink into one Spirit.

26. Question: What do we thus become?

27. Answer: 1 Corinthians 12:12.
Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of
Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of
Christ.

28. Question: Of what is Jesus Christ said to be the
head?

29. Answer: Colossians 1:18.
And he is the head of the body, the church: who is
the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in
all things he might have the preeminence.

30. Question: How is Christ fitted for all this ?

19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all
fulness dwell;
9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the
Godhead bodily

32. Question: That this union among the people of
God might be perpetuated, what did God do?

33. Answer: Ephesians 4:8, 11, 12.
8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on
high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto
men.
12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of
the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

34. Question: How long were these gifts to continue?

35. Answer: Ephesians 4:13.
Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the
knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man,
unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of
Christ:

36. Question: What would be the effect of unity upon
the world?

37. Answer: John 17:21.
That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in
me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us:
that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

result?

39. Answer: Ephesians 1:9,10, Revelation 5:13.
