intelligence and boundless eagerness to sustain our existence. The human body is being recognized as
one of the most amazing things in the world and beyond the speck of the earth, this is based on the
fact of how many millions of cells we are designed to carry and how they are created to carry out their
jobs. I am esteemed of how much humanity has been shaped by medical discoveries and advanced

Hellenism In Ancient Greece
In ancient Greece, around 500 B.C.E, the culture was revolving around gods and goddesses. The
lifestyles and actions of the people of Greece had an interdependence with the common belief of
Hellenism. By understanding that many Greeks looked to their gods and goddesses in most aspects of
their life, we can better understand how Greek culture worked as a whole. This can be seen
specifically in Athens Greece. In Athens they looked to the Goddess Athena in particular because she
was their patron Goddess. During this time a sculptor, named Phidias, sculpted a grand statue called
the Athena Parthenos. The Athena Parthenos was viewed as an actual incarnation of the Goddess
Athena, and symbolize victory in wars that ultimately create peace and harmony. ... Show more

It was located in a special chamber called the cella.*footnote* The only people that were actually
allowed into the Parthenon were priests, who are could be considered the holiest of all people in their
culture.*footnote* This elevates the Athena Parthenos to a very high level of holiness, that most would
consider to be Goddess like. Normal citizens of Athens had to worship in a courtyard outside of the
Parthenon, which means that they couldn t even be under the same roof as the Athena

which one could interpret the two Goddesses together as meaning victory in war.*footnote* Also
Athena was portrayed in full military attire, which can clearly be seen as another symbol of war. The
Goddess Athena was very intelligent and powerful in war, and viewed war as a way to achieve peace,

How Culture And Practices From The Country Of Origin...
Introduction
During the 1990s, trends of globalisation emerged a radical pattern of international commercial
activities, which enhanced both economic and political interrelationship worldwide. Today, more than
ever, corporations instead of acquiring resources and exporting goods overseas, invest directly in
foreign countries and either establish integrated enterprises or acquire subsidiaries, which
encompasses the range of their goods and services. Multi National corporations (MNCs) grid
dominates inevitably not only the financial market, but also controls a massive proportion of world s
marketing and technology channels.
This essay anticipates to define how culture and practices from the country of origin affect MNCs
behaviours, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The first is the country of origin to transfer its practices to the host country activities; that is what
often called cross national isomorphism (Ferner, 1997). Accordingly, this strategy may entail the
installation of dominant systems of training, work organisation and recruitment in host countries . For
example, where the parent company attempt to impose its policies about the training and development
of its workforce, training schemes and the need for skilled employees in an MNC are aligned with
those of the parent company. Furthermore, it is widely accepted, that in a MNC which adopt and
embrace an ethnocentric approach, cultural values and corporation s strategy of the country of origin
are predominant, whereas the company assumes that such an approach would be advantageously for
the firm and that their subsidiaries ought to discipline and follow the same patterns (Francesco and
Gold 1998). A representative example of such an approach are the Japanese corporations, since studies
have shown that they seek to impose their policies and practices in their MNCs and enforce their rules
(Kopp, 1994). However, ethnocentricity merely underestimates what Ferner (1997) suggests, that the
transfer as long as the embodiment of home country practices, such as organisational structures,
processes and procedures could be either adopted from the host country s systems and regulations or
neglected. The second alternative implies a radically divergent strategy where

Carl Jung s Theories And Theories
Carl Jung was one of the main theorists in the Psychodynamic field and created his own theory,
psychoanalysis. Jung was a student of Freud and his theories and ideas very much align with Freud s
theories. The similarities are evident in Jung s ideas of unconsciousness, his theory of the libido, and
is his notions of archetypes. The main difference is that Jung emphasized other factors besides
childhood memories. He partly focused on future aspirations and also delved into the supernatural in
his theories and ideas. Jung was one of the first to implement a theory on personality as well. To this
day we still refer to Jung s ideas of introversion and extroversion. Contemporary music has adopted
facets of Jung s theories in their ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Jung s psyche notion is broke into three parts: the ego, the personal unconscious, and the collective
unconscious. The ego is the awareness of the person and includes memories, cognitions, and affect.
The unconscious had a direct effect on personality in Jung s eyes, and was broken down into two
parts. The first part is the personal consciousness, this can contain personal information along with
repressed or forgotten past experiences. One of the major parts of the personal consciousness is the
complex. This notion is still referred to in the mainstream public and was a topic for many self help
books. The complex are the cognitions used on a particular topic, and the more emphasis put on the
topic the greater the complex. The last part is the collective unconscious. This was brought about by
Jung s research into the Native Americans, the supernatural, and through dream analysis. This level of
unconsciousness is shared throughout humanity and can explain why the same motifs are found in
dreams from people who do not communicate with one another. It is comprised of all the human
experience from the present to our ancestral past. It very much has an evolutionary aspect in that
experiences that our ancestors may have incurred are embedded deep within each person s
consciousness as a totality of the human experience. Archetypes are any artifacts, cognitions, or
instances from our cultural past that tend to show up

In a variety of community based studies the researchers found roughly 3% of the children studied met
the criteria of the DSM IV for oppositional defiant disorder. However, the studies vary based on
criteria used, how many participants were studied, and how old the participants were at the time of the
study. This resulted in a variance of prevalence estimating between 1 to 16 % (Steiner, H., Remsing,

diagnosed with ODD (Lavigne, J. V., LeBailly, S. A., Hopkins, J., Gouze, K. R., Binns, H. J., 2009).

A Brief Note On The Diesel Engine Exhaust Gas Emissions...
ABSTRACT
Diesel engine exhaust gas emissions and particulate matters have been a serious environmental
problem for a long time. Many research have been made in order to reduce these emissions since the
usage of diesel engines came into large. Major emissions from the diesel exhaust are NOx, SOx, CO
and Particulate Matters. Amongst these SOx, CO and Particulate matters can be reduced by using after
treatment methods like Catalytic Reduction, etc. Unlike these NOx reduction is a challenging issue. In
this project various types of technologies which are used till now to reduce NOx ¬has been discussed

INTRODUCTION
Usage of diesel engine in automobiles is increasing worldwide because of its high fuel efficiency. As
the usage increases, the emissions from the exhaust gases also increases which affects the atmosphere,
thereby causing environmental issues such as global warming, smog and even acid rain. These
emissions are mainly due to non stoichiometric combustion, dissociation of Nitrogen and impurities in
the fuel and air mixture. Major emissions include Oxides of Nitrogen, Oxides of Sulphur, unburnt
Hydrocarbons, oxides of carbon and other carbon particles or soot. Significant measures are taken by
the automotive industries for several years to reduces the intensity of these exhaust gases. There are
two ways of reducing these exhaust gases are

Leadership Is Influencing And Motivating Others Through...
Leadership is influencing and motivating others through inspiration, personal dedication to setting the
example and followership while providing a clear vision for success. I often see true leadership in the
way a person chooses to live his or her life. As a young man my elders raised and mentored me in
many aspects including how to seek further enrichment of my personal leadership characteristics.
During my Coast Guard career, I have appreciated many leaders who inspired me to reach high and
settle for nothing less than exceptional. If I were to name one man who exemplified leadership, it
would be Rear Admiral David Throop. I first met Admiral
Throop during a Standardization (STAN) Team visit in Traverse City, MI. Part of the STAN
Team s assessment was an all AST shop physical test and that morning, Captain Throop was waiting
in the shop ready to participate. It was truly inspiring to see him stand next to his Rescue
Swimmers and perform to the expected standard. Years later while stationed on Cape Cod,
Admiral Throop was my commanding officer. I remember his change of command speech and the
conviction he displayed in every word he spoke. His vivid personality and demeanor drew people to
him and his dedication to our core values was evident daily. He remembered the name of every
member and their family and would walk the hanger decks regularly and speak with those in his
command. His compassion for his people was evident even when accountability was required through

Impact Of Mercantilism
During the mercantilism simulation, I began to create a better understanding of the process. The
simulation also made me open my eyes to the many struggles and differences that the countries and
colonies face within each other. These countries have to continue trying to trade throughout their
incompleteness. Each country begins to become discouraged, but in order to insure that their colony,
as well as their own health, is stable they must keep trying. Each country finds a new way to persuade
one another. Mercantilism (revolving around trade) is based upon the colonies enriching their mother
country, as the colonies can only work through the countries to receive the materials that they need. If
the countries decide not to improve their colonies needs, then the colonies cannot survive or will have
to find a way to extend their sources or materials. In other words, the mercantile system is developed
to benefit from profitable trading, there must be a reason to trade. (Mercantilism) To better understand
the concepts of mercantilism you must know the terms associated with the process. Exports are goods
sent outside a colony or country, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Treasure Island, Captain Blood, And We Are Pirates
The passage of a near half millennium has done much in the way of reshaping the familiar genre of
pirate literature of today. One familiar with the courageous and somewhat ridiculous story lines of
Pirates of the Caribbean, needs merely to briefly leaf through the poorly written, and perhaps even
plagiarized 17th century pirate play The Sea Voyage to confirm this notion. However, while the works
of this genre, like the world itself, has evolved immensely in the past four hundred plus years, an
important thread of continuity has remained which runs throughout the numerous stories of the pirate
genre. Facilitating the rich, adventurous story lines, and the formation of lovable characters, the ability
of the pirate genres protagonists to precariously balance their boyish actions with bravery are
paramount.

Fiction books have helped me know why people are so worried about bullying. I have read a book
called The Brave when I was in eleventh grade for a free read that showed me how common and
serous bullying can be. It has also showed me that our generation needs to learn to have respect for
each other in and outside of school so bullying will start to go away. In books that I have read in
school in the past that dealt with bullying were far worse than what people consider bullying today. In
most cases the bullying is on a very serious level in books now a days and could cause the victim a lot
of physical, mental, and emotional harm from what the characters say and do. Bullying inside and

To take a closer look at the financing, the proposal to date is that the general partners will be made up
of the group and the hospital. The general partners will contribute $500,000 and will retain 100%
management control over the hospital. The limited partners will supply $500,000 but have no liability
beyond the initial investment. The hospital will borrow $1 million from Miami National Bank for a
five year term with interest rates of 8%. This initial $2 million will purchase and pay for the start up
costs associated with the machine.
As the current proposal stands the limited partners are to receive their initial investment the first two
years of the project whether it is successful or not. In order to look at what that means the numbers are
important. A cash flow analysis is important to determine feasibility of the project. So, three cash flow
statements are prepared; best case scenario, most likely, and worst case scenario. In the best case
scenario, the cash flow distribution would be $247,588 to the general partners and $577,294 to the
limited partners. As you can see the limited partners are paid twice as much as the partners since in the
proposal the limited partners are to receive their initial investment back first. However, after year one
the cash flows are split 50/50 general partners to limited partners, this is good for all parties involved.

Being blind manifest itself in a lot of ways. The most harmful type of this condition may be figurative
blindness of one s own situations and ignorance towards the feelings of others. Within Raymond

obvious. The narrator faces many issues as well as the turn around experienced at the culmination of

develop the character transformation by simply regarding the literal blind man in a positive light.
The narrators statement at the very beginning of the story explains his own lack of knowledge about
physical blindness. His lack of knowledge relating to the visitor s disability is not deniable, yet he
makes it very clear that he is aware of his ignorance, saying that he was not happy about his visit. He
was no one I knew. And his being blind bothered me. My idea of blindness came from the movies. In
the movies, the blind moved slowly and never laughed. Sometimes seeing eye dogs led them. A blind
man in my house was not something I looked forward to. (90) These statements explain his entire
attitude about Robert, the house guest, and other blind people in general at the onset of the story,
giving the narrator an instant feeling of exactly who the narrator and even what he may turn out to be.

Evolution And Evolution Of Evolution
What is the theory of evolution? Many people who don t understand science or Biology
don t know how to answer this question. Evolution is the process of biological change by which
descendants come to differ from their ancestors. In our society today, there is many conflicts
that exist between creationism which is the belief that a higher power created the Earth and
made living things and the theory of evolution. Some people are debating whether to teach
evolution in schools because the subject is very touchy to others. In other areas of the world,
there is wars against religion and evolution. I am on both sides. I don t really care about either
because they both sound pretty good to me. Evolution makes sense to me. I like the history of
evolution. It s so cool to see how different species have evolved throughout time.

However, also in the decades before 1992, the principle influenced to a large extent the evolution of
the European Communities.
As P. De Pasquale lines out, there had been an increasingly frequent recourse to Article 235 of the EC
treaty (later on art. 308 EC), which enhances the competences of the Community for the purpose of
crating a common market . The Community exercised its power in fields that where not explicitly
listed in any Treaty, but which it identified as sensible sectors (e.g. monetary policy). This ambiguous
development alarmed the Member States that subsequently pointed out the principle of subsidiarity, as
they wanted to secure their protagonist role within the process of European integration.
The first functional achievements for the Member States took place at the beginnings of the 70s with
the so called Tindeman report. In this report of the Commission on the European Union (5/1975) the
principle is explicitly mentioned. It contains the idea that the objective of the Community should not
be becoming a centralized super state , but rather should concentrate on attributing more powers to
regional and national institutions.
A second weighty step was taken through a draft resolution (Draft Treaty Establishing the European
Union) written by A. Spinelli, adopted by the European Parliament in 1984. Again, it was affirmed
that the Union should be regarded as a proper juridical person whose

power so God is not told what to do, He chooses what he does. Saint Anselm through his story Cur
Deus Homo and Dante through his story Divine Comedy talk about the incarnation of Christ to show
the almighty power that God holds. God makes all his decisions for the benefit of the people and does
what He feels is best for them. In Dante s Paradiso and in Cur Deus Homo by Saint Anselm they show
that his decision of incarnating Christ was a necessary one for the people of the world to have the
ability to forgive human sins, to show His infinite power, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This idea is present in Anselm when Anselm writes If the punishment of the sinner is not to the honor
of God, then God loses his honor and does not regain it... (citation). Honor is important for God and
he wants to have people worship him. If God did not hold people accountable for their sins, then the
world will go mad. In order to maintain his honor he became man to have a presence felt. God felt that
if he had a presence felt then he would maintain his honor and help prevent sin. Similar, Beatrice said
Mankind lay sick, in the abyss of a great error, for long centuries, until the Word of God willed to
descend to where the nature that was sundered from its maker was united to his person by the sole act
of His eternal Love (409). This quote is about Adam and the original sin when he says great error. This
was the first ever sin and God needed to handle it appropriately. Since the sin of Adam people lost a
little faith in God because it showed that there was evil in the world. People had trouble believing
there was evil in the world, so they needed something to prove that there was still

Essay about Loyalty by Yulia Drunina
Aldous Huxley once said, One of the great attractions of patriotism it fulfills our worst wishes. In the
person of our nation we are able, vicariously, to bully and cheat. Bully and cheat, what s more, with a
feeling that we are profoundly virtuous (Huxley, 2013). Yulia Drunina s poem Loyalty is about her
devotion to her motherland Russia. Yulia Drunina is a Russian poem writer that writes a lot of her
poems about Russia. Yulia wrote the poem Loyalty to describe her love for her dying motherland. This
poem s meaning is that Yulia loves Russia so much that she will never forget about it and go wherever
it goes.
The speaker of the poem is Yulia Drunina. She grew up in the U.S.S.R and wrote the poem Loyalty .
She loves the old ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This poem has some examples of alliteration. Yulia wants to get her point across and she wants to
emphasize it. So she uses alliteration to get it across. For example, Yulia wrote, Maybe you ll meet
some girl, / More lovely, more wise, or more dear. She repeats more often and this gives the feeling of
how much more she thinks her country will find some other type of person that is more important to
itself (Drunina, 1946).
Metaphors play a huge part in explaining how Russia made Yulia feel. It gives us the mood or feel of
the place. An example would be, Your tranquil pines, and such things / As the nocturnal Pakhra flows,
as Yulia wrote (Drunina, 1946). This comparison refers to the peacefulness of the U.S.S.R and gives
the image of it being quiet and peaceful. The reader can now imagine a quiet area where there is not a
single bother in the world with this metaphor.
Yulia had some examples of symbolism in her poem. Yulia wrote As the nocturnal Pakhra flows
(Drunina, 1946). She uses a real river in Russia to symbolise the tranquility of her home. The river is a
calm force running downstream, so it can symbolise calmness. Readers now get the image of calmness
from just reading that and that is what Yulia intended to do.
Yulia Drunina s poem Loyalty is a great poem about the U.S.S.R. Yulia wrote this poem to explain and
express her feelings about her old home which is the U.S.S.R. She was expressing how

My Favorite Place At Z Hostel
After an amazing month in the Philippines my last stop was Manila.
The lovely people at Z hostel had invited me to stay with them and as you know design hostels are my
favourite kind of accomodation and the Philippines have some of my favourite places in the world, so
I knew this would be good.
The Area
The hostel is located in Makati, one of the 16 cities that make up Metro Manila. It s the financial
centre of the Philippines and apart from the Stock exchange you ll find lot of entertainment and
several large malls there.
Just around the corner from the hostel there are little markets, restaurants and shops, while Z hostel
itself is located in a quiet small street.

some tips on what to do in Manila and how to get there. Combined with a couple of cute polaroids of

The Room
The rooms have the same cool industrial style and a couple of features that make a traveller s life so
much easier. It s the simple things like having enough outlets that make me really happy when
travelling.
The large night stands are big enough for a laptop (and the wifi is strong enough to actually watch
movies!), there is a large desk in front of the window and the wardrobe is big enough to fit two
backpacks in.
I loved the parquet flooring, which made the room feel much more cozy than the other areas.
The bathroom is less fancy but was super clean and had everything I needed.
The private rooms are located on a sixth floor and I had a great view over Makati from there. This also
means that they are located right underneath the roof terrace, so if there is a party you will here it, but
I simply joined the party and had a brilliant time

Courage In The Film, Pursuit Of Happyness, And WALL-E
Courage, determination and perseverance all relate together. In my opinion you can t have one without
the other, and you can relate these three things to any aspects of your life whether you are in a low
point in your life or on top of the world. You won t have a life lesson where none of these three words
are related to that life lesson, and that goes for both movies. Chris was taught to always fight for what
you want and don t ever give up, and WALL E fought for making earth a better place and he never
gave up. In the movie Pursuit of Happyness, these three words are expressed I think as best as
possible. My definition of courage is taking a bet on your bravery towards an event that would change
your result. Harvard did an article on the steps of learning courage as a skill and using it in situations.
One main step I saw in the article was Setting Goals which would be the reason that you are going to

Ricky Carmichael Research Paper
Ricky Carmichael competed in motocross from 1984 to 2007 and supercross from 2002 to 2007.
Between the ages of five and sixteen he won sixty seven amateur championship awards. When he
began racing professionally he won American Motocross Association (AMA) 125cc championships in
1997, twice in 1998, and in 1999. After he advanced to the 250cc class in 2000, Carmichael attained
the title of AMA Motocross champion with two perfect seasons of twenty four wins in 2002 and 2004
until 2007 where he entered stock car racing. In 1999 Ricky attempted to compete in AMA Supercross
but crashed hard in the first race of the season in Anaheim. Later in 2000 he hired Aldon Baker as a
personal trainer. Baker had been a mountain bike racer before teaching Carmichael and had only
recently lost his sponsorship. Baker had built a training regiment for the 21 year old which had him
running, lifting weights, and riding bicycles. Ricky dropped 20 pounds and built up a bit of muscle,
giving him the ability to easier control the heavy 250cc Supercross bikes. In 2001 Carmichael returned

Apology By Plato Analysis
Reading Reflection: Plato In one of Plato s works Apology , Socrates attempts to defend himself in
court of law where he is being prosecuted on corrupting the youth. While defending himself, Socrates
also defends his choice of receiving a death penalty, rather then testifying against his beliefs. Although
he makes some very strong and valid arguments, lots of readers would wonder why would such a wise
man choose death over his life. Socrates was a man that was on a mission is search of the truth about
wisdom. As a philosopher he would never settle for one simple answer, he would take every angel of
an argument therefore even a simple idea would be argued until his opponent would be frustrated
enough to quit. During his defense Socrates states, A man who really fights for justice must lead a
private, not a public, life if he is to survive for even a short time (Apology 36). Socrates is arguing that
due to politics corrupt nature, anybody that wants to fight for justice must stay out of the public eye.

Joel s Imaginary Actions: Spotlighting in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
While music always plays a significant part to convey emotions in film, light can be used just as
effectively. The use of a special lighting technique is very noticeable in the memory scenes of Michel
Gondry s Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. A major part of Eternal Sunshine is spent inside the
protagonist Joel s mind. He is in the process of deleting his memory of Clementine, who was his
girlfriend for two years. Two main lighting styles are used throughout the scenes which play inside
Joel s mind. On one hand, natural bright lighting and on the other hand a darker setting with only one
light source, carrying a strong resemblance of a spotlight (Jason Sperb, ... Show more content on

However, this time instead of desperately chasing the spotlight he walks towards it in a decidedly
confident manner. Both Joel and Clementine first walk through a house party and end up in Mierzwiak
s clinic. There, Joel starts talking to Mierzwiak who is in turn talking to another version of Joel. This
other version of Joel is part of the memory and does not react to the Joel we are following around.
However, Mierzwiak acknowledges the Joel who enters the memory and starts talking to him. This
whole scene is only lit by one spotlight moving back and forth in a tracking shot between the three
characters. (Eternal Sunshine, 55:59 56:44) It is again, an event which has not happened in real life,
but is just part of Joel s imagination. This could not have been the way Joel perceives this specific
memory, as Sperb called it, as Mierzwiak is saying things which would not make sense in the real life
scenario. Joel is now contacting the memory he has of Mierzwiak instead of screaming his name out
into the void. He is trying out different tactics and none of them seem to

Critically Appraise A Popular Leadership Theory
Leadership is a concept that is constantly discussed yet there is seldom agreement about what it is.
Even though most agree leadership is crucial to success of any people, project or venture. People
define leadership differently and often times misconstrue leadership with management. Leadership
provides the vision and focuses on the people while management focuses on objectives and tasks. It is
however valid that a budding leader may sometimes need to act as both a leader an as a manager
whenever necessary.
Over the years, in an attempt to define leadership and reach a consensus on what it is, various
leadership theories have ensued. Some leadership theories include; great man, transactional,

If the competent and qualified physician is leader of a public health or healthcare institution and he is
deemed a great leader based on his charisma and ambition, when there is a challenge such as an
outbreak and he is able to proffer solution. He will be respected and trusted more. However, a demerit
to this approach is that it is too simplistic and may prevent contribution from other qualified members
of the system. Hence serving to demotivate them at their work because they may feel irrelevant. Also,
the problem of succession quickly comes to mind, so in the event of loss or absence of the great leader
, there will be a problem with replacing him and the institution may suffer. This leads to another
demerit of the theory. Based on the fact that a leader had to be born that way, there is no way to teach
leadership to another person or improve one s own level of leadership. More recent theories and
occurrence has invalidated this claim.
Much of the great man theory praises characteristics that are majorly associated with natural male
characteristics and used male examples in its explanation. In orders words, women cannot be leaders.
But this has been negated, as there were females who successfully led men to wars in history. An

Theme Of Alcohol In A Streetcar Named Want
I was so smashed the previous evening that I undermined my better half, however I don t recall it, so

presents itself as the ideal escape course for a feeling of remorse. Individuals regularly wind up
settling on imprudent choices all the more as often as possible while affected by liquor. In any case,
what amount of poor conduct would alcohol be able to pardon before a man must acknowledge the
results for their own behavior? Tennessee Williams dives into the topic of liquor reliance all through
his play, A Streetcar Named Want. All through the play, both Blanche and Stanley appear to depend
vigorously upon alcohol. Liquor is utilized as both a brace and a reason for poor conduct in A
Streetcar Named Want, and has turned out to be much more predominant in the present society.

Middle Class
A blue collar worker that makes 25 thousand dollars a year is put in the same socioeconomic class as
an engineer making 200 thousand dollars based on the Pew Research Center s Calculation of middle
class. The definition of middle class lumps those making four times the median United States income
with those living paycheck to paycheck and feeling like they live more impoverished than anything
leading to a confusion in identity. Is the lower middle supposed to feel proud and content with their
situation considering they are categorized with engineers, doctors, and lawyers, or are they to feel
impoverished because if they took a 5 thousand dollar pay cut, they would be below the poverty line?

Joe Carter in What Exactly Does argues that the term middle class is too broad of a classification of a
socioeconomic class. Carter uses income facts of the middle class ranging from 40,000 to 250,000
dollars a year from the Pew research center to demonstrate the income inequality in the middle class.
Carter argues that the wide ranging middle class makes it difficult to make policies that help the lower
middle without also helping the upper middle because they are grouped in the same classification of
socioeconomic status. When policies like the 529 bill created by Obama in order to help the middle
class attend college, they help the upper middle class which already lives comfortably according to
Carter, increasing the economic gap. In a different take on carter s ideologies, the authors Janny Scott
and David Leonhardt describe class lines as blurry because people live lavishly beyond their class, but
still firm barriers because the gaps of lifespan, health, and style of life between classes still continues
to grow. Carter argues these lines exist between the lower middle and the upper middle because of the

How Did Shakespeare Influence The American Theatre
There are lots of important things that were created in the Renaissance. Drama was one of the most

you have to know a little bit of information on plays and prediction in the Renaissance time period.
The plays before Shakespeare connected more to a religious point of view and the morals were more
simple(Currie,109). Playwrights were based off of morals for the writing in the books, just like how to
day we have movies based off books. The only difference is that the plays were played of of religious
books. An example of one of their most common morals Stephen Currie writes in a book, One person
is example for everyone . There was two theaters and 160,000 ... Show more content on

Baby Shakespeare was born in Stratford upon Avon(Brandenberg,12). During his years in school, he
studied Latin, Greek, and any other subject that would help him in his writing(Brandenberg,12). Even
from a young age, Shakespeare knew that someday he would have some sort of career in writing, and
without the background he wouldn t have be able to help the Globe the popular place we know. When
shakespeare was age 18, he married Anne Hathaway(Brandenberg,13). Anne supported shakespeare
carrier and what he loved to do. They had been married for around 2 years when Shakespeare started
acting(Frey,342). When he started, he worked for a play company writing and acting he was in his
early 20 s(Frey,342). Without the company and the time previous to the theater, he would have had no

Advantages Of The Middle Colonies
Do you want to live in a new colony? The middle colonies are the best colony of them all. The middle
colonies were made up of four states Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey and Delaware. The middle
colonies presented a good amount of religion unlike the new england colonies and the southern
colonies. The middle colonies practiced many kinds of religion for example Quakers, Lutherans,
Dutch, Mennonites, Calvinists, and Presbyterians made the dominance of one faith next to impossible.
Also you can practice your religion freely. Middle Colonies had very fertile land. Because of this
many different crops and food could be grown. Many of the people lived on farms so they could
produce their own food. Some things they would grow was wheat,

Luke The Apostles
Introduction The second Part of a two volume work related to the Gospel of Luke,1 called, The Acts
of the Apostles, known as the most important book of the New Testament.2 Scholars overlooked the
absolute purpose of Luke s writings in Acts. Many lost focus of Luke s apologic defense of the
Christian movement concerning the Gospel of Jesus Christ that was addressed to the Jews. Instead,
many evolving issues developed in the early church, as many Scholars dissected Luke s purpose of his
work. Whether the book is historically accurate, theological, or as the history book of the early
church,3 it should be gleaned as Luke s apologic plead to his unknown friend Theophilus, a senior
Christian Roman official, or symbolically the entire ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, Ramsay found maps of the New Testament to be not accurate. He suggested it was made up
due to the condition of Asia Minor, at the time when Paul was living.6 The external evidence available
for the authorship of Acts was closely linked with the third Gospel, which indicates common
authorship. Both addressed to Theophilus (Luke 1:3; Acts 1:1), connecting Luke and the Acts of the
Apostles closely related to the same author.7 Therefore, F.C. Bauer was skeptical of the historical
value of the biblical documents and scholarship. He viewed Acts containing an idealized

Government Initiatives for Affordable Housing
Government initiatives for affordable housing: The deputy prime minister office has defined the
modern method of construction as a method to produce better quality home in quick span of time. The
housing corporation that is sponsored by the deputy prime minister office spends £1.6 billion every
year on building new homes with a 25% percent target consisting of the modern methods of
construction.
The English partnerships and the Department of Trade and Industry encourages and promotes the use
of modern methods of construction. The National Audit Office Study conducted (November, 2005)
aimed to promote the wider usage of offsite construction methods and its further improvement. The
report has analysed specifically about the housing sector due to the interest of the housing corporation.
The report revealed the amount of time and labour savings that can be done with help of the modern
construction methods.
The cost and quality are the most important factors that influence the quality of life. Housing is the
major investment for most households (Burchell and Listoken, 1995).When the housing becomes
unaffordable or unhealthy, it can affect the educational, financial and emotional wellbeing of a family
(Bratt, 2002).
The previous use of offsite construction solutions:
Although off site construction technology has been successfully used in various sectors of
construction including housing, it has not become a permanent change in the construction industry.

Canadian Political Culture Essay
Canadian Political Culture, in a nation state context, can be break down as beliefs and attitudes that
Canadian have of political objects( Jackson, Politics in Canada.1994).
The majority of Canadians normally hold similar political notion that, unlike firm beliefs that varies in
due time, are more widespread and are considered as the base for political culture. It is these values
and attitudes that Canadian citizens share that compose the heart of Canada nation state political
culture system. The political culture in general demands other things such as regional or even
linguistic aspects to be able to fully explain Canadian society and how it sees politics; nevertheless for
this paper, it will only focus on the similarities that Canadian share in their political attitudes of a
nation culture as a whole. It will talk about on the likeness of thought that differentiate them from
other countries. To be able to understand Canada political culture, one has to understand some
historical events that straightening the view point of those living in Canada. Canada is most of the
time seen as a multi cultural country, a country that is built on two society and language the French
and the English; yet however there are the common beliefs that all Canadian share. Canada founded it
nation through advancement, deciding to exonerate itself from the British Empire slowly with time
and change, unlike our neighbor the United State who gain their independence through the

The American Dream In Jeannette Walls s The Glass Castle
Comedian George Carlin once stated, That s why they call it the American Dream, because you have
to be asleep to believe it. Financial security, freedom to live how one chooses, retiring at 65 and living
comfortably in old age, owning a home, knowing that working hard pays off: these are all
fundamental beliefs tied to the American Dream. As newer generations are increasingly finding the
dream to be unrealistic, people are beginning to abandon the concept; however it is still a very present
ideology. While many believe the American Dream is a lively goal that everyone strives to achieve, it
is actually a dying illusion that is unattainable for all but the wealthiest and used to propagate a
classist society, causing a cycle of ignorance ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The purpose of the American dream is not to promise success as a reward for hard work; conversely, it
is the idea that individuals should be able to achieve success despite their socioeconomic status. This
belief is intended to inspire and create equality. Although the American Dream sounds optimistic in
concept, it further propagates inequality in practice.
The American Dream is not a function of ability and achievement, but a dying illusion. America is not
truly the land of the free, but an ignorant classist society. Gregory Clark, an economics professor at the
University of California, Davis, stated that America has no higher rate of social mobility than
medieval England or pre industrial Sweden ... That s the most difficult part of talking about social
mobility it s shattering people s dreams (qtd. in Evans). The United States has an incredibly outdated
economic system that does not allow disadvantaged citizens opportunities regardless of how hard they
work. People get stuck in their social status and are not able to stray out of it, which affects their
further generations. Additionally, immigrants coming to America in hopes of prosperity are likely to
have even less luck than immigrants of the pass and widen the gap of social inequality. Clark
continues to state, The truth is that the American Dream was always an illusion. Blindly pursuing

Continuity And Changes In The Western World Essay
The years of 1200 1750 were times of massive change in Western Europe and much of the world.
However, one of the most important turning points of the time period occurred when advances in
seafaring technology led the Americas to be discovered and trans regional trade to intensify and
expand across the globe. This intensification of trade led to the beginnings of the African slave trade
and the destruction of the indigenous peoples of South and Central America, which changed the
course of history. Despite all of this change, however, trade still remained a profound source of
cultural diffusion, and the influence and power of China on world trade and politics did not waver.
This essay will be outlining the specific ways in which the world changed and stayed the same during
the age of exploration, with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As the Middle Ages began winding to a close and stability was being established in the reason with
the rise of families ruling through heredity relatively unopposed such as the Habsburgs, Europe
entered a new age of exploration and enlightenment. With powerful European countries now
interested in expanding their global reach and newly invented seafaring technology such as the sextant
and lateen sail making this possible on a larger scale, overseas exploration became viable and an
endeavor worth investing in. Portuguese and Spanish explorers such as Magellan and Columbus made
the discoveries that the Earth was larger than anybody had thought before and that there were more
continents than just Europe, African, and Asia, uncovering brand new possibilities that the monarchies
of Western Europe were happy to take advantage of. The biggest turning point of this time period was
the discovery of the Americas in 1492 by Christopher Columbus who was employed by the Spanish
monarchy at the time, as it led to the continents colonization by Europeans in the ensuing years and
everything that resulted from

How Saint Thomas Is the Best Saint
Thomas Didymus is the best saint out of all the saints that have lived on this planet. For one thing,
Thomas was one of Jesus s most loyal disciples. And because he was a disciple of Jesus, he was one of
the few saints to witness the miracles of God s only child and learn from him. Additionally, he was a
missionary in South Asia to dedicate his life to spread the Word of God there. As seen by the
preceding information, I can say that Saint Thomas is the best saint who ever lived.
If Saint Thomas isn t recognized as the greatest saint, he should at least be in the Top 12 List, as does
the rest of Jesus s 11 disciples. But what I think what makes him Number 1 is that he was more eager
to learn from Jesus s teachings than any other of Jesus s disciples. And I also esteem him for his
curiosity and his habit for questioning clarity when Jesus does his teachings and parables. In The Last
Supper, John 14:1 5 Jesus foretells his death and his ascension into heaven along with his disciples,
including Thomas. It reads, Jesus said to his disciples Don t be worried! Have faith in God and have
faith in me. There are many rooms in my Father s house. I wouldn t tell you this, unless it was true. I
am going there to prepare a place for each of you. After I have done this, I will come back and take
you with me. Then we will be together. You know the way to where I m going. Thomas said, Lord we
don t even know where you are going! How will we know the way? I think Thomas is the guy who

  • 3. Hellenism In Ancient Greece In ancient Greece, around 500 B.C.E, the culture was revolving around gods and goddesses. The lifestyles and actions of the people of Greece had an interdependence with the common belief of Hellenism. By understanding that many Greeks looked to their gods and goddesses in most aspects of their life, we can better understand how Greek culture worked as a whole. This can be seen specifically in Athens Greece. In Athens they looked to the Goddess Athena in particular because she was their patron Goddess. During this time a sculptor, named Phidias, sculpted a grand statue called the Athena Parthenos. The Athena Parthenos was viewed as an actual incarnation of the Goddess Athena, and symbolize victory in wars that ultimately create peace and harmony. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It was located in a special chamber called the cella.*footnote* The only people that were actually allowed into the Parthenon were priests, who are could be considered the holiest of all people in their culture.*footnote* This elevates the Athena Parthenos to a very high level of holiness, that most would consider to be Goddess like. Normal citizens of Athens had to worship in a courtyard outside of the Parthenon, which means that they couldn t even be under the same roof as the Athena Parthenos.*footnote* The placement of the statute clearly indicates a very high level of religious standing, that could be best described as Goddess like. Athena is the Goddess of war and craftsmanship.*footnote*Athena, the Goddess of war, was depicted holding the Goddess of victory, which one could interpret the two Goddesses together as meaning victory in war.*footnote* Also Athena was portrayed in full military attire, which can clearly be seen as another symbol of war. Introduction During the 1990s, trends of globalisation emerged a radical pattern of international commercial activities, which enhanced both economic and political interrelationship worldwide. Today, more than ever, corporations instead of acquiring resources and exporting goods overseas, invest directly in foreign countries and either establish integrated enterprises or acquire subsidiaries, which encompasses the range of their goods and services. Multi National corporations (MNCs) grid dominates inevitably not only the financial market, but also controls a massive proportion of world s marketing and technology channels. The first is the country of origin to transfer its practices to the host country activities; that is what often called cross national isomorphism (Ferner, 1997). Accordingly, this strategy may entail the installation of dominant systems of training, work organisation and recruitment in host countries . For example, where the parent company attempt to impose its policies about the training and development of its workforce, training schemes and the need for skilled employees in an MNC are aligned with those of the parent company. Furthermore, it is widely accepted, that in a MNC which adopt and embrace an ethnocentric approach, cultural values and corporation s strategy of the country of origin are predominant, whereas the company assumes that such an approach would be advantageously for the firm and that their subsidiaries ought to discipline and follow the same patterns (Francesco and Gold 1998). A representative example of such an approach are the Japanese corporations, since studies have shown that they seek to impose their policies and practices in their MNCs and enforce their rules (Kopp, 1994). However, ethnocentricity merely underestimates what Ferner (1997) suggests, that the transfer as long as the embodiment of home country practices, such as organisational structures, processes and procedures could be either adopted from the host country s systems and regulations or neglected. The second alternative implies a radically divergent strategy where ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Jung was a student of Freud and his theories and ideas very much align with Freud s theories. The similarities are evident in Jung s ideas of unconsciousness, his theory of the libido, and is his notions of archetypes. The main difference is that Jung emphasized other factors besides childhood memories. He partly focused on future aspirations and also delved into the supernatural in his theories and ideas. Jung s psyche notion is broke into three parts: the ego, the personal unconscious, and the collective unconscious. The ego is the awareness of the person and includes memories, cognitions, and affect. The unconscious had a direct effect on personality in Jung s eyes, and was broken down into two parts. The first part is the personal consciousness, this can contain personal information along with repressed or forgotten past experiences. One of the major parts of the personal consciousness is the complex. This notion is still referred to in the mainstream public and was a topic for many self help books. The complex are the cognitions used on a particular topic, and the more emphasis put on the topic the greater the complex. The last part is the collective unconscious. This was brought about by Jung s research into the Native Americans, the supernatural, and through dream analysis. This level of unconsciousness is shared throughout humanity and can explain why the same motifs are found in dreams from people who do not communicate with one another. It is comprised of all the human experience from the present to our ancestral past. Leadership is influencing and motivating others through inspiration, personal dedication to setting the example and followership while providing a clear vision for success. I often see true leadership in the way a person chooses to live his or her life. As a young man my elders raised and mentored me in many aspects including how to seek further enrichment of my personal leadership characteristics. During my Coast Guard career, I have appreciated many leaders who inspired me to reach high and settle for nothing less than exceptional. If I were to name one man who exemplified leadership, it would be Rear Admiral David Throop. I first met Admiral Throop during a Standardization (STAN) Team visit in Traverse City, MI. Part of the STAN Team s assessment was an all AST shop physical test and that morning, Captain Throop was waiting in the shop ready to participate. It was truly inspiring to see him stand next to his Rescue Swimmers and perform to the expected standard. Years later while stationed on Cape Cod, Admiral Throop was my commanding officer. I remember his change of command speech and the conviction he displayed in every word he spoke. • 13. Impact Of Mercantilism During the mercantilism simulation, I began to create a better understanding of the process. The simulation also made me open my eyes to the many struggles and differences that the countries and colonies face within each other. These countries have to continue trying to trade throughout their incompleteness. Each country begins to become discouraged, but in order to insure that their colony, as well as their own health, is stable they must keep trying. Each country finds a new way to persuade one another. Mercantilism (revolving around trade) is based upon the colonies enriching their mother country, as the colonies can only work through the countries to receive the materials that they need. If the countries decide not to improve their colonies needs, then the colonies cannot survive or will have to find a way to extend their sources or materials. In other words, the mercantile system is developed to benefit from profitable trading, there must be a reason to trade. One familiar with the courageous and somewhat ridiculous story lines of Pirates of the Caribbean, needs merely to briefly leaf through the poorly written, and perhaps even plagiarized 17th century pirate play The Sea Voyage to confirm this notion. However, while the works of this genre, like the world itself, has evolved immensely in the past four hundred plus years, an important thread of continuity has remained which runs throughout the numerous stories of the pirate genre. The hospital will borrow $1 million from Miami National Bank for a five year term with interest rates of 8%. His lack of knowledge relating to the visitor s disability is not deniable, yet he makes it very clear that he is aware of his ignorance, saying that he was not happy about his visit. He was no one I knew. And his being blind bothered me. My idea of blindness came from the movies. In the movies, the blind moved slowly and never laughed. Sometimes seeing eye dogs led them. A blind man in my house was not something I looked forward to. Evolution is the process of biological change by which descendants come to differ from their ancestors. In our society today, there is many conflicts that exist between creationism which is the belief that a higher power created the Earth and made living things and the theory of evolution. Some people are debating whether to teach evolution in schools because the subject is very touchy to others. In other areas of the world, there is wars against religion and evolution. It s so cool to see how different species have evolved throughout time. #1) Chapter 10.1 10.5, p. 280 301 (Early Scientist s observations, Darwin s Observations, Theory of Natural Selection, Evidence of Evolution, Evolutionary Biology Today) There are many scientists and people that study evolution and it s wonders. The most well known was Charles Darwin who traveled to the Galapagos Islands and observed evolutionary changes in different species or a group of organisms that are very similar to each other that they can reproduce and have children , but there are four major ones that we should learn about in biology class. Examples Of My Life In The Odyssey Hussain 3 I was raised here, in a country in which your competing for grades, honor rolls, getting on a sports teams, things like this.Usually most people stay for a time period then jet off to another place to start a new journey. However, since I have lived in one country for my whole life, I have the same goals, habits, distractions and problems I currently face. In the Odyssey, I picked three characters who I could relate to in my life. With Poseidon, he redirected Odysseus s path and made the journey even harder for him by setting up numerous obstacles. Then came the sirens, who offered a distraction to Odysseus and his men, but eventually overcame it by plugging earmuffs into their ears. Finally, the last character that was chosen was Calypso who s island was the island of trouble for Odysseus. These three characters cause problems for Odysseus, but he reached his island(his home) Ithaca. However, also in the decades before 1992, the principle influenced to a large extent the evolution of the European Communities. As P. De Pasquale lines out, there had been an increasingly frequent recourse to Article 235 of the EC treaty (later on art. 308 EC), which enhances the competences of the Community for the purpose of crating a common market . The Community exercised its power in fields that where not explicitly listed in any Treaty, but which it identified as sensible sectors (e.g. monetary policy). This ambiguous development alarmed the Member States that subsequently pointed out the principle of subsidiarity, as they wanted to secure their protagonist role within the process of European integration. The first functional achievements for the Member States took place at the beginnings of the 70s with the so called Tindeman report. In this report of the Commission on the European Union (5/1975) the principle is explicitly mentioned. It contains the idea that the objective of the Community should not be becoming a centralized super state , but rather should concentrate on attributing more powers to regional and national institutions. A second weighty step was taken through a draft resolution (Draft Treaty Establishing the European Union) written by A. Spinelli, adopted by the European Parliament in 1984. Saint Anselm through his story Cur Deus Homo and Dante through his story Divine Comedy talk about the incarnation of Christ to show the almighty power that God holds. God makes all his decisions for the benefit of the people and does what He feels is best for them. In the person of our nation we are able, vicariously, to bully and cheat. Bully and cheat, what s more, with a feeling that we are profoundly virtuous (Huxley, 2013). Yulia Drunina s poem Loyalty is about her devotion to her motherland Russia. Yulia Drunina is a Russian poem writer that writes a lot of her poems about Russia. Yulia wrote the poem Loyalty to describe her love for her dying motherland. This poem s meaning is that Yulia loves Russia so much that she will never forget about it and go wherever it goes. She repeats more often and this gives the feeling of how much more she thinks her country will find some other type of person that is more important to itself (Drunina, 1946). Metaphors play a huge part in explaining how Russia made Yulia feel. It gives us the mood or feel of the place. An example would be, Your tranquil pines, and such things / As the nocturnal Pakhra flows, as Yulia wrote (Drunina, 1946). This comparison refers to the peacefulness of the U.S.S.R and gives the image of it being quiet and peaceful. Yulia wrote As the nocturnal Pakhra flows (Drunina, 1946). She uses a real river in Russia to symbolise the tranquility of her home. The river is a calm force running downstream, so it can symbolise calmness. Readers now get the image of calmness from just reading that and that is what Yulia intended to do. Historical Martin Luther King Jr. was a model leader. His life and messages inspired others to change the world for the better. All leaders should live a life that reflects their leadership. Martin Luther King Jr. did just that. Additionally, The Things They Carried by Tim O Brien some may argue that First Lieutenant Jim Cross was not a good leader, because one of his soldiers died at war on his watch. However, leaders are not super heroes. They do not have super powers to predict the future. Jim Cross was a remarkable leader. He put aside his personal situations for the lives of his soldiers. Even if that included getting rid of someone he loved. All true leaders make sacrifices for the betterment of their supports without hesitation. A leader should never knowingly put his or her followers in danger. First Lieutenant Cross made a mistake as all humans do, but he never stopped being a leader he knew how to be. He only got better with time. As a good leader, he second guessed himself because he wanted the best for his troops. He cared about his troops. An inadequate leader would not care if one of his soldiers died. After all, the soldier knew the possible outcome of the war. They knew the risk involved with war. Cross was caring leader who carried the burdens of all his soldiers. As a first lieutenant and platoon leader, Jimmy Cross carried a compass, maps, code books, binoculars, and a .45 caliber pistol that weighed 2.9 pounds fully loaded. He carried a strobe light and the responsibility for the lives of all men (O Brien ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 38. Grandpa Greene s Whitewashed Bungalow Three weeks after we had settled into Grandpa Greene s whitewashed bungalow mom and I were sitting at the dinner table, next to two empty chairs when the telephone rang in the middle of franks, macaroni and cheese, and my least favorite Brussels sprouts. As mom rose to answer, I seized the opportunity to heap some macaroni and cheese on top of the lopsided pile of Brussels sprouts. I was smiling to myself at the clever way I d camouflaged the sprouts when mom let the phone fall with a clattering clang and a single sob absolutely devastated. She sank to the floor, still dressed in her work scrubs a yellow and green bunny printed top and purple pants she d worn to the hospital where she treated sick kids. As he handed Miss Bilbo a crate full of apples he tripped, performing a sideways summersault and a flawless double back flip, all three skillfully executed mind you, except he didn t land on his feet. He s in a room at the Pixie Dust Medical Center, broken and sleeping. She sobbed again. He may never wake up. Dad came home an hour later and consoled Mom. Don t fret, dear, Those doctors know what s best. They ll fix your poppa up good as new in no time. His tone was smooth and reassuring. One of the theaters that they had was the Globe Theater. Even though the Globe Theater was destined for failure, it became successful due to Shakespeare and the support of the Royal Monarch. Before understanding Shakespeare and his impact on the Globe you have to know a little bit of information on plays and prediction in the Renaissance time period. The plays before Shakespeare connected more to a religious point of view and the morals were more simple(Currie,109). Playwrights were based off of morals for the writing in the books, just like how to day we have movies based off books. The only difference is that the plays were played of of religious books. Financial security, freedom to live how one chooses, retiring at 65 and living comfortably in old age, owning a home, knowing that working hard pays off: these are all fundamental beliefs tied to the American Dream. As newer generations are increasingly finding the dream to be unrealistic, people are beginning to abandon the concept; however it is still a very present ideology. While many believe the American Dream is a lively goal that everyone strives to achieve, it is actually a dying illusion that is unattainable for all but the wealthiest and used to propagate a classist society, causing a cycle of ignorance ... The purpose of the American dream is not to promise success as a reward for hard work; conversely, it is the idea that individuals should be able to achieve success despite their socioeconomic status. This belief is intended to inspire and create equality. Although the American Dream sounds optimistic in concept, it further propagates inequality in practice. The American Dream is not a function of ability and achievement, but a dying illusion. America is not truly the land of the free, but an ignorant classist society. Gregory Clark, an economics professor at the University of California, Davis, stated that America has no higher rate of social mobility than medieval England or pre industrial Sweden ... That s the most difficult part of talking about social mobility it s shattering people s dreams (qtd. in Evans). The United States has an incredibly outdated economic system that does not allow disadvantaged citizens opportunities regardless of how hard they work. People get stuck in their social status and are not able to stray out of it, which affects their further generations. However, one of the most important turning points of the time period occurred when advances in seafaring technology led the Americas to be discovered and trans regional trade to intensify and expand across the globe. This intensification of trade led to the beginnings of the African slave trade and the destruction of the indigenous peoples of South and Central America, which changed the course of history. • 46. How Saint Thomas Is the Best Saint Thomas Didymus is the best saint out of all the saints that have lived on this planet. For one thing, Thomas was one of Jesus s most loyal disciples. And because he was a disciple of Jesus, he was one of the few saints to witness the miracles of God s only child and learn from him. Additionally, he was a missionary in South Asia to dedicate his life to spread the Word of God there. As seen by the preceding information, I can say that Saint Thomas is the best saint who ever lived. If Saint Thomas isn t recognized as the greatest saint, he should at least be in the Top 12 List, as does the rest of Jesus s 11 disciples. But what I think what makes him Number 1 is that he was more eager to learn from Jesus s teachings than any other of Jesus s disciples. And I also esteem him for his curiosity and his habit for questioning clarity when Jesus does his teachings and parables. In The Last Supper, John 14:1 5 Jesus foretells his death and his ascension into heaven along with his disciples, including Thomas. It reads, Jesus said to his disciples Don t be worried! Have faith in God and have faith in me. There are many rooms in my Father s house. I wouldn t tell you this, unless it was true. I am going there to prepare a place for each of you. After I have done this, I will come back and take you with me. Then we will be together. You know the way to where I m going. Thomas said, Lord we don t even know where you are going! How will we know the way? I think Thomas is the guy who ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
