Plato And Plato s Republic
The ancient Greek Philosopher Plato had an interest in finding the ideal government. In Plato s
Republic, he discusses his ideas and views of how this ideal government would function. He believed
that people are born into 3 different classes, with different responsibilities (Plato 415a). Only people in
the golden class were fit to rule. The most effective of these rulers would be philosophers, as they
have knowledge of the good of the whole (Plato 473d). This system seems too perfect for me. I
believe that Plato s republic is unjust and would not work with our modern society, as it relies too
much on the golden class choosing what is right for everyone, and there is nothing to make them
accountable if they choose wrong.
Before arguing for my ideas on Plato s Republic, I will elaborate more on what the Republic entails.
Plato believed that the citizens of a state should be told you are brothers, yet God has framed you
differently (Plato 415a). Some people are born into the golden class fit for leadership, some are born
into the silver class meant to be auxiliaries to aid the golden class, and others are born into the brass or
iron class destined to be farmers and labourers. It was Plato s idea that the fostering of such a belief
will make them [citizens] care more for the city and for one another (Plato 415d). The most effective
rulers in the golden class would be philosophers (Plato 473d). According to Plato, they alone have the
ability to see what is good for the

George Wolfowitz s Decision Points Essay
What motivated the Bush administration to invade Iraq in 2003 despite strong opposition from the
international community? On one side, the administration maintains that the invasion was necessary to
prevent Iraq from developing weapons of mass destruction (WMDs). In his memoir Decision Points ,
Bush argued that Saddam posed too much of a threat he brutalized his own people, violated
international demands, and sponsored terrorist groups like al Qaeda. On the opposing side, critics of
the war argue that the Bush administration used the 9/11 terrorist attack and the threat of WMDs to
justify waging an illegal war against Iraq in order to extract Iraqi oil to fund the military industrial
complex, to secure Israel, and to finish the job of deposing Saddam. While these explanations for the
invasion have some merit, they are problematic because they fail to capture the extent of the
administration s actual ambitions. An analysis of how individuals on Bush s administration, such as
Paul Wolfowitz and Condoleezza Rice, viewed the world reveals that the invasion of Iraq was
intended to demonstrate the effectiveness of and necessity for preemptive action, overthrow Saddam,
and transform the Middle East. However, what was perceived to be a quick and easy operation to
stabilize the Middle East and secure America s interest backfired and turned Iraq into a safe haven for
terrorists.
One reason the Bush administration decided to invade Iraq was to set a precedent for the US to

Narrative Essay About A Birthday
On a beautiful day in November it started off like any other day in our life. We had such a special
occasion to attend that evening at the local park to come together and celebrate our nephew Andy s
birthday. We all arrive and set up the event and get all the balloons and decorations up and ready for
Andy to arrive. We all sat around and waited in suspense for him to arrive. Andy finally arrived and
was so surprised that everyone came to celebrate his day with him. His smile lit up from ear to ear and
the joy radiated from his body. He jumped up and down and hugged all of us one by one. He could not
believe that we were able to set this up without him knowing or finding out any detail about this
surprise. While all the family is sitting together I begin to start having some slight pain but every part
of me was saying Just get through this party so you do not take the thunder away from Andy. The pain
lingered on and off and I began to count the minutes until it was time to leave. Trying to get the pain
to subside without being noticed, I started to sit and then walk around hoping the pain would just stop.
After about three hours the party finally comes to an end and I was overcome with so much relief. I
began to whisper to my husband bobby, I think I might be in labor but do not freak out. As the words
slip out I was so worried what he was going to say and just started at him. Bobby began to say with a
muffled and breaking tone, We need to get you to the

ADVENT
One of the earliest uses of non biological materials within the body was the wooden toe prosthetic in
1065 740BC in early Egypt. However, research within the field and therefore the 1st generation of
biomaterials was recognized a lot of conspicuously in 1960 to 1970. Throughout this time period
biomaterial research encompassed all materials designed to be used within the body. These materials
were designed to achieve an acceptable combination of physical properties to match those of the

Nanomaterials can be manufactured with extraordinarily smooth surfaces.
(ii) In macroscale geometries, fluid flow through conduits like pipes is restricted by friction between
the moving fluid and the pipe walls, leading to resistance to flow. In nanoscale geometries, molecular
forces will build it such that fluids can slip past the pipe walls without significant resistance. This may
be used to lower the pressure drop across filtration devices.
(iii) At small sizes, the flexibility of a particle to scatter lightweight of various wavelengths is
predicated on particle size. An example of this is zinc oxide, which appears white in sunscreen once
the particles are macroscale, however transparent when the particles are nanoscale. In a similar
fashion, thin films composed of our silver nanowires are extremely clear albeit they are composed a
material that is opaque at a macroscale.

The Controversy Of Selling Counterfeit Products
Ten years ago, it was easy to walk into a store and find fake or knockoff products. Today, it s much
harder to find people and businesses that are selling counterfeit products. E Commerce sites, such as
Amazon and E bay have helped create millions of such stores online, which is why it s so hard to
check for fakes. One storefront gets shut down and another one opens. Amazon has made it
extraordinarily difficult to enforce against counterfeit products. The problem isn t just limited to
Amazon though. E bay, Walmart.com, and Newegg have also been accused of selling counterfeits. All
of the companies say they have strict policies in effect for removing offending products from their
websites, and that they vociferously fight against counterfeits.

The World of Mass Media
The world of Mass Media is a complicated place as told by former TV and Radio reporter, Al Meyers.
You never know what you re going to be doing, but then there s the ability to be able to do it and to
share that with the people who are listening. Meyers, who is retired, gave me the pleasure of sitting
down and talking to me about the world of Mass Media Communication, then and now.
Most of what we hear about in the world today comes to us as it is broadcasted through the television
news networking stations and the Radio broadcasts throughout the day. It is constantly being updated
by the minute as news breaks everywhere, whether it is locally or internationally. However what about
the people who present us the news, the people who work ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Media workers need to have social skills, and the ability to talk to people. It is one of the many ways
in which a reporter finds out what is going on. They need to be able to present the news in a clear
concise way that is easy for listeners to interpret and understand. You need to have an eye and an ear
for the story and a desire to capture the latest news, says Al, The process behind establishing what is
published and what isn t wholly depends on what is relevant for people in the community to know.
The training involved in becoming a reporter deals especially with developing a person s social skill,
and their ability to use their curiosity to get information out of people, even when they are reluctant to
give it. Interaction with people is important because as a Media worker you have to be able to work
together with a group of people in order to make all aspects of a story fit together. Television news
requires a thirst for getting the scoop, and it also requires energy and ambition. News reporters have to
have the ability to write and speak in a way that makes people think. Meyer tells about his personal
experience in a situation where he could not understand what it was that another television reporter

Comparing A Streetcar Named Desire and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof
Comparing A Streetcar Named Desire and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof
In the game of life man is given the options to bluff, raise, or fold. He is dealt a hand created by the
consequences of his choices or by outside forces beyond his control. It is a never ending cycle:
choices made create more choices. Using diverse, complex characters simmering with passion and
often a contradiction within themselves, Tennessee Williams examines the link of past and present
created by man s choices in A Streetcar Named Desire and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.
Delicate Blanche, virile Stanley. Dynamic Maggie, impotent Brick. Williams protagonists are
distinctly different in temperament. In A Streetcar Named Desire Blanche exemplifies the
stereotypical ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In contrast, Brick is cool and nonchalant. He wears the charm of the defeated to disguise his power.
Power isn t always brute force. Sometimes refusing to make choices is powerful. Forcing other to
make decisions and thus never shouldering the responsibility is a form of dominance. Brick proudly
proclaims Maggie laid down the law to me said now or never, and so I married Maggie (Williams, Cat
37). She has to accept a non sexual marriage or she has to be the one decide to leave. In the end
Maggie, wanting to sire an heir and secure her position in the family, forces Brick to make love to her.
He doesn t fight her off, but accepts meekly. It seems as if he isn t making choice, but by surrendering
he does not have to forgive Maggie or change the terms of their lifeless marriage. Brick, hiding his
anger behind a wall of indifference, is powerless and powerful.
The characters are neither saintly nor villainous but rather a combination of both, often a contradiction
within themselves. Blanche DuBois is Williams masterpiece of contradiction. The very name Blanche
DuBois suggests her duality (Cohn 46). She tells Mitch her name means white woods. Like an orchard
in spring (Williams, Street 55) But even her translation is a fantasy. Blanche is past her spring and she
no longer possesses the virtue associated with white (Cohn 46).

Essay about Beyond the Climate Crisis
Beyond the Climate Crisis
It s not secret that the human race is harming the planet. People cut down forests, release toxic gases
into the air, and dump pollutants into the waterways. It s a way of life and some of these activities are
actually necessary to carry on civilized life. Nevertheless, there are ways to reduce harmful effects on
the planet, and the human race is actually making progress in reducing emissions and replacing the
trees that are constantly cut down. However, not all options are being pursued. Reasons for this go
beyond the general skepticism of global warming and the like. There is both economic and political
favorability in environmental negligence, and behind every one of these reasons, one simple truth ...

This is a photograph of a factory in the outskirts of Beijing. Unfortunately, this is where many of the
blue collar factory workers also live, so they are exposed to the toxic smoke almost 24 hours a day.
Not only the blue collar workers are affected; about one percent of the Beijing population actually
lives in areas that have clean air according to a standard set by the European Union (Kahn). The
photographer who took this picture chose the right subjects. One of the silhouettes appears to be
coughing, and in a more gruesome gallery, Lu Guang documents people that have been affected by
toxins, both in air and water, in a polluted China. These acute health risks are a problem for the
Chinese residents, but the pollution poses a long term threat to the entire world. China currently
produces the most carbon emissions of any country in the world, just over 6 billion tons per year
(Each country s share). While this statistic may seem unimaginably big, so is the population of China.
Per capita carbon emissions from china are only about 5 tons per year, which is relatively low when
compared to almost 20 tons per capita for the United States (Each country s share). Another
unbelievable statistic is that the entire European Union combined produces almost two billion tons
less carbon dioxide than the United States. The population of the European Union is also 180 million
more. The GDP (total amount of products

Throughout comedy the emphasis is on human limitations rather than on human greatness (John
Morreal Comedy Tragedy and Religion). To what extent does Jez Butterworth focus on human
weakness and ineptitude in his play Jerusalem ?
Jez Butterworth s Jerusalem creates a comic vision focusing on the ambiguities, turmoil and
hypocrisies of the society presented on stage. Butterworth focuses on the characters degeneracies in
which the form of humour tends to be the exposure of their unruly behaviour and their reluctance to
conform to social norms. The most basic difference between comedy and tragedy lies in its central

Still Life With Skull Essay
Still Life with Skull by Paul Cezanne was completed in 1898 during the Post Impressionist era
commonly known as the final period. The piece features a skull, fruits, and a piece of white cloth
placed on a table. It takes the vanitas genre of art, done using oil on canvas measuring 65.4 cm by 54.3
cm which is exhibited at the Barnes Foundation, Merion, Pennsylvania, USA (Lindsay 1969, 23). This
work represents a powerful and essential link between the materialistic artistic movement of
Expressionism and the ephemeral features of Impressionism. The painting features a dark background
with planes of color used in the foreground and on objects to create space and depth of perspective.
Texture is used to create a tonal harmony devoid of tactile or sensual appeal, therefore portraying
volume.
However, Cezanne leaves little room for color and volume to play their great roles as light diffuses to
the balanced tints of ochre. Space is created by the absolute stillness of the piece thereby affirming the
painter as a great master of composition, color, and design. Further, the piece features complex fields
that create an abstraction by the artist s sensitive and repetitive brushstrokes. Cezanne is portraying the
complexity of man s visual perception ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The glasses are representative of vanity, as is the reflection shown on the still life with a skull and

John Charles Fields Essay
John Charles Fields
John Charles Fields is perhaps one of the most famous Canadian Mathematicians of all time. He was
born on May 14, 1863 in Hamilton Ontario, and died August 9, 1932 in Toronto, Ontario (Young,
1998). He graduated from the University of Toronto at the age of 21 with a B.A in Mathematics and
went on to get his Ph.D. at John Hopkins University in 1887. Fields was very interested to study at
John Hopkins University because apparently it was the only university in North America which really
stressed research at the time (Fields Institute, n.d.). Fields did original research in the theory of
algebraic functions that was influenced by his reknowned mentors, Fuchs, Schwarz, Frobenius and
Plank (Fields Medal, n.d.). After two ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I think it is great to know that one of the greatest mathematicians of all time is Canadian, because
most famous mathematicians are of European decent.
I think Fields lived a very interesting and dynamic life; he had a chance to pursue his dream of
research in mathematics and got to become lifelong friends with the famous mathematician Gosta
Mittag Leffler. As opposed to Alfred Nobel, Fields understood the importance of research in
mathematics and he did his best to support it and promote it. I think that is the reason why John
Charles Fields was able to take mathematics to a new level, because he was so dedicated and
passionate about his work.
Mathematics is used in many widely different contexts and it is used everyday, although most people
don t recognize that and I believe that the creation of the Fields medal was big step in the
mathematical universe. In January 1932, Fields indicated that the idea of the medal had the support of
the major mathematical societies of France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland and the United States, and he
also outlined the principles behind the proposed medal (Fields Institute, n.d). The first Fields medal
was awarded in Oslo in 1936. I think the implementation of the Fields medal was a great idea because
it served as a reward for outstanding mathematicians and it made mathematics more recognized
around the world.
Other than the Fields medal, I feel the creation of

Positive Impact Of The Roman Republic
The Greeks, made up of Athenians and Spartans, and the Romans, led by the Roman Republic and
Roman Empire, ruled present day Middle East between 4th and 5th centuries BCE. In the Twelve
Tables, it s clear that the Roman Republic killed those who do wrong (Doc 5). Meanwhile, the
Athenians controlled their citizens through respect and appreciation of each citizens individuality
(Doc 2). Both of the governments saw positive and negative impacts. While the Romans deserve
credit for their accomplishments in government, the Greeks more effectively controlled their citizens,
and saw more positive effects than the Romans. The citizens of the Greek city state Athens were more
willing to cooperate with the Athenian government because they weren t oppressed (Doc 2). This
conclusion can be drawn from Document 2, Enjoying Global History, written by Henry Abraham and
Irwin Pfeffer as a part of the Amsco School Publications in 2006. Abraham and Pfeffer wanted to
portray that Athens was a strong city state, since they did not list any of its negatives, which might
bias the junior high age students it was intended for. In Greece, positive impact of free thought and
independence is an opposite of the Roman ruling. According to the Twelve Tables, the Roman
Republic controlled its citizens by threatening wrong doers with death (Doc 5). In Amnesty
International s 2005 report on the death penalty, titled Facts and figures on the death penalty, 97% of
all executions took place in China,

Angela Carter s The Bloody Chamber
Angela Carter s highly feminist anthology of short stories The Bloody Chamber 1979 challenges the
patriarchal society s view on women. As a libertarian feminist Carter presents the ideals of the second
wave of feminism and the notion that in order for society to progress, women must cast away the
restraints placed upon them by society and reclaim authoritative qualities that are deemed masculine
and unsightly for women to possess. Traditionally fairy tales present females as timid and cute but

Cuban Migration
In order to understand the complex relationship that Cuba has with the United States and the nature of
Cuban American immigrant communities that exist in South Florida, it is necessary to first understand
the unique circumstances that led to the large influx of Cuban immigrants.
For many Cubans the Batista government was simply a puppet regime with the puppet masters being
wealthy Americans. This was because his economic policies favoured foreign investors and did little
for the development of domestic industries, which resulted in the wealth of the country being
concentrated in the hands of a wealthy white minority. Consequently, in the 1950s, this harsh regime
caused political resistance to reach to its boiling point. In response to these ... Show more content on

Prior to the development of Cuban American communities, 1940 census reflected the population of
South Florida being 172,172. Approximately 99.9% of the population spoke English and over 92% of
the population was white. The growth of Cuban American communities in South Florida drastically
altered this demography. Today, Florida is now the third largest state in the nation, with more than 20
million people in 2015. Florida s growth can best be termed a population boom facilitated by a series
of migration. Although migration from other northern states continues to be a major contributor to
population growth, international migration plays a more important role, particularly in the south.
According to the Pew Research Center 2015 statistical profile of Hispanics of Cuban origin, there is
an estimated 2 million who live in the United States. This accounts for 3.7 percent of the overall
Latino population. Cuban Americans are the most regionally concentrated, with approximately 70
percent residing in South Florida. This change in demography has also carried linguistic implications.
The first wave of immigrants who arrived in the United States all thought that they were in temporary
exile and it was only a matter of time before the new government was overthrown and they would be
able to return to their island home. Consequently, unlike many other immigrant groups they made little
attempts to assimilate in the United States, instead they maintained their culture, customs and more
importantly their language. Therefore, in the late 1900s Spanish speakers comprised over 1/3 of the

Great. Now they are looking at me. She said to herself.

The academic definition of a myth is discovering a way of making meaning that has been part of every

our culture, religion, beliefs and so on would determine the moral meaning behind the story. Some

Religion is what people believe in, their faith, like a since of hope. In today s society some religions
have become myths so the start of newer religions may form. The very basic aspects of the world
around us that myths explains are the course of day and night or seasons, the mysteries of life and
death, and the creation of the world. In the African American culture we believe when a loved one has
passed on we should celebrate their life. Celebrating their life means they are no longer in pain or
suffering they are going home to the Almighty and we should be happy for them. Dealing with
change, suffering, and loss is really about the same we pray to the man above and hope we can get

glimpse into the mind of Stanislavsky, the words help bring clarity to a technique and system that
forever transformed the world of acting and drama.
Konstantin Stanislavski was an actor and director who is credited with pioneering method acting and
the Stanislavsky system. As an actor, Stanislavski was discontented with the prevailing ideas on
theatre and acting, leading him to drop out of the Moscow Theatre School after only being there for
about two weeks. He found inspiration rather in the philosophical ... Show more content on

One such case is Daniel Day Lewis who received traditional training rather than experiential at Bristol
Old Vic, a high profile theatre arts school in England. Daniel Day Lewis is known for refusing to
break character in between scenes and doing extensive research for every role he accepts. This was
particularly the case for Spielberg s Lincoln, in which Lewis studied for over a year and used his
Lincoln imitative voice beyond the confines of the set to play the titular role which won him an Oscar.
Lastly, Jake Gyllenhaal is known for undergoing physical transformations that rival the severity of De
Niro s when he adopts a role. This included losing 30 pounds to portrary the neurotic amaetur
videographer Louis Bloom in Nightcrawler. Additionally, Gyllenhaal left the film with a permanent
scar on his hand, the result of a mindset in which the lines between the actor and the character were
blurred. Following Nightcrawler with the film Southpaw, Gyllenhaal spent 8 months in an extremely
rigorous exercise routine in order to have the physique he felt necessary to truly be a boxer. Lastly,
Dustin Hoffman is known to have engaged in method acting at least once as he stayed awake for three
days straight during the shoot movie Marathon Man. Hoffman, in his attempt to immerse himself in
the role of Thomas Levy, decided the best way for him to appear as though he did not sleep for three
days was to physically put himself in that very

Matthew Henry Commentary
In our lecture for this unit, the speaker lays out several helpful guidlines for interpreting works written
in the genre of historical narrative. The final point on this topic (#6) was: Lean on the experts
The lecturer made the case that by reading and studying the interpretations of experienced interpreters,
we could grow as interpreters ourselves. While I have absolutely no problem with consulting the
commentaries, books, and teachings of spiritually minded individuals to help us become better readers
of God s word, I think that it is also possible for someone to lean on these resources too much.
I remember a time in my life when I was more excited to read from my Matthew Henry commentary
than I was to read my own Bible! When it came

Mentorship The Workplace
Mentorship is an asset for anyone attempting to learn something new. According to Merriam Webster
dictionary a mentor is a trusted counselor or guide. To me this implies someone that you up to and
have access to via direct communication and not an idol, such as a celebrity, who you do not have any
contact. Everyone has some form of mentorship in their life. In athletics, there are always teammates
or coaches that train and challenge a person. In education, there are teachers and upperclassmen. In the
workplace, senior coworkers and supervisors fulfill the role. No matter where a person is in life, there
is always an individual who can assist them through guidance and encouragement. The idea that
everyone has mentorship, indicates that

Ex Metallica Bassist Jason Newsome Covers Country Songs and It s Amazing
Normally, when you think of Metallica, you think of the heavy metal sound the band is famous for.
But, if you think that s the only kind of music the band members, and former band members, enjoy
making, you are sorely mistaken.
In fact, ex Metallica Bassist Jason Newsome recently spent time on The Drive with Steve Jaxon radio
show playing some country tunes. The set includes music from John Prine, Doug Seegers and Willie
Nelson. He s also brought along his new band, the Chophouse Band, to perform with him. The
resulting performances are nothing short of amazing.

The New Day For America
According The Center for Responsive Politics, as of January 31, 2016, Kasich raised a total of $15.3
million across all affiliated campaign committees and has not self financed (2016). Given this amount,
Kasich is ranked 12th out of all the 2016 presidential candidates and was close to the national average
of $19.3 million (Fugleberg and Thompson 2016). Kasich for America, his official committee, raised
$8.4 million with $7.4 million of that coming from large individual contributions (Center for
Responsive Politics 2016). Arnsdorf notes that on the eve of the Iowa Caucus, Kasich had just $1.4
million in the bank after a spending spree in January (2016). Unlike some other candidates, Kasich

However, after an independently wealthy celebrity and two established federal candidates were
identified by the voters as frontrunners, the fundraising strategy needed to adjust and aggressively
seek donations instead of waiting for them to come. Kasich, like his debate style, chose to lay in wait
for the opportunity to strike and make his presence known, but he is just being outspent and is getting
outpaced (Everett 2016). Not everyone, especially potential donators, share Kasich s optimism and do
not want to spend money on a perceived lost cause. Especially, with Trump dominating the election
and media cycles enhancing his first place lead. With that being said, Kasich and his campaign
managers are being exceptionally frugal and cost efficient with their limited funds (Levinson 2016).
Their budgeting skills and ability to save money for ads in New Hampshire and in the Super Tuesday
states may be a source of Kasich s optimism. They were acutely aware from the beginning that they
would not receive money on the level of Clinton or Cruz until Super Tuesday at the earliest. So, they
have done an exceptional job keeping Kasich in fourth place on a twelfth place budget.
Traditional Media Following the New Hampshire primary, Kasich hired Republican media consultant
Rex Elsass to assist Fred Davis in overseeing the campaign s television ads

Distrust Of Religion In The Middle Ages
During the Middle Ages, the relationship between science and religion was central to the ability of
intellectuals to pursue the natural sciences. Without approval from their religious leaders, the great
thinkers of the Middle Ages were unable to make any large strides in natural philosophy. However,
this does not mean that the pervasiveness of religion prevented science from thriving. Rather, the
nature of the relationship between science and religion was wholly dependent on the religion in
question. In some cases, such as in Christianity, science was given a comparably more sympathetic
environment in which to grow and develop. Due to the necessity of a class of men who were both
theologians and natural philosophers in Christian societies, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

During this period, science was mostly founded on the principles of ancient Greek philosophy. In
orthodox Jewish and Muslim societies, these beliefs were unable to gain any religious backing, instead
harboring only suspicion. In many cases, these feelings of distrust resulted from a lack of necessity to
converse with new converts. While the spread of Christianity was heavily reliant on missionary work,
other religions such as Islam were simply instated through military force and did not have to seek
acceptance from new converts. Furthermore, for Islam, a lack of Arabic translations of ancient Greek
works of science and philosophy was also responsible for the religion s distrust of science in the
Middle Ages. During the early growth of Islam, in which the orthodox doctrine was created, Muslim
leaders were unable to read the ideas of ancient Greek philosophers. Once translations were finally
created, orthodox Muslims saw no need to incorporate the ideals of ancient Greece into their religion,
and these beliefs were shunned. Finally, this research will attempt to provide an explanation as to why
Christianity benefitted more from the use of Greek natural philosophy than the other large religions.
The motivations for the Christian acceptance of Greek ideals will be shown to stem from fundamental
religious differences between Christianity and other religions, such as the concept of the Holy Trinity.
It will also be illustrated that the demographics of Christians in the Middle Ages allowed science to
develop more easily. Converts to Christianity were often individuals who had been previously exposed
to pagan learning, which included Greek philosophy and natural philosophy, and Christianity did not
seek to remove this knowledge after

Politics has always and will always play a large role in how the United States interacts with other

How Did Yugoslavia Achieve Independence From The Soviet...
Yugoslavia was the only Eastern European country which manages to not fall under the Soviet
occupation. The main reasons of this fact are that Yugoslavia was not liberated by the Red Army, but
from the Yugoslav partisans. This army was led by communists. In 1945 the leader of the Communist
Resistance, Josip Broz Tito, took the control of the country. Tito was not a soviet trained Stalinist;
instead he was an independent national leader who did not accept to do as the Moscow wish. Tito was
one of the most significant causes why Yugoslavia achieved to maintain her independence from the
Soviet Union. Firstly, the relations between Moscow and Belgrade seemed good. Yugoslavia also
joined the first Cominform in 1947, which it was held in Belgrade. ... Show more content on

Albanian and Soviet relations remained warm during the last years of Stalin s life mainly because of
the Albanian non economic stability. Albania was depending on Soviet European countries, as all its
foreign trade was conducted in those countries. Likewise, the Soviet Union underwrote shortfalls in
Albania s balance of payments with long term grants.in the early s 50s the health care system and the
education in Albania get improved dramatically. Those were some advantages for the Albanian
society. Within the leaderfship of the Communist Party of Albania tensions arose between pro and anti
Yugoslav personalities. Koci Xoxe was the pro Yugoslav person while the Xhoxha was anti Yugoslav.
Xoxe main purpose was to overthrow Hoxha and to cooperate with Yugoslavia. In 1948 after the
Soviet Yugoslav split, Albania achieves to break from the Yugoslav occupation and became the first
state to side with the Cominform. From that moment and on relations between Albania and Soviet
Union remain close till the death of Stalin in 1953. After the death of Stalin, things changed in the
relations between Albania and Soviet Union. Nikita Khrushchev believed that the high cost of aid to
support Albania was not worth it. From 1955 to 1961 period the Soviet Albanian split began, as a
result of the soviet leader Nikita. So, Hoxha eventually broke away from the USSR and formed a

Talent Acquisition And Retention For The Business World
Talent Acquisition and Retention This paper introduces the concepts of talent acquisition and retention
in the business world. It explains the importance of using these tools correctly and the role these two
important concepts play in the success or failure of a company. Furthermore, this paper discusses the
different areas of talent acquisition and retention and how help companies attract and retain long term
employees and help companies achieve their goals. Why is it important to attract and retain the right
talent? Attracting the right talent and the ability to retain these employees is vital to the success of any
company. Failure to attract and retain the right talent created high employee turnover affecting the
business financially. The company will have to invest in recruiting, training, and benefits just to name
a few. In addition, high employee turnover diminishes employee morale and affects company culture,
which in the long run, decreases productivity due to poor workforce performance and thus, profits
decreases. Competition for Talent In order to attract the right talent, a company or firm needs to be
able to compete successfully with other firms seeking the same talent pool. In order to be able to
compete with other firms, companies need to view employees as their greatest assets and be willing to
invest in the employees. Simply, companies need to be able to put their employees first in order to be
able to compete successfully on employee talent. According

Spec Ops Satire
I m sorry, Walker. But you knew it would end this way. Your friends, dead. The world on fire. And
you... alone. By the time the credits roll at the end of the video game Spec Ops: The Line, Captain
Martin Walker is an utterly broken man. He stumbles about the city of Dubai in a hallucinatory trance,
looking for any reason to keep putting one foot before the other. Walker s descent into madness,
brought about by the atrocities he has wrought, is one of the most compelling character arcs to appear
in the shooter genre a class of video games usually associated with indifference to the horrors of war.

Spec Ops is most directly a reaction to the Call of Duty series, an industry juggernaut that has come to
define the modern shooter. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, the sixth entry in the series, is the
quintessential title of its genre. The game became a blueprint for shooters when it demonstrated how
an activity as morally dubious as killing could be used to ensnare audiences. On this subject, Kyle
Kontour writes, it is not merely the market that has become militarized, but the rhetoric of recruitment
has itself become integral to advertising these games purchasing and playing a commercial war game
becomes, according to its promotional material, an act of volunteering one s service (57). Kontour
argues that developers of shooters attempt to convince players that their actions are serving a greater
good, an unpleasant but vital end. Players come to believe that they can be entertained while
simultaneously providing a service albeit a virtual service for their country. This is the spirit behind
Activision s There s a Soldier in All of Us campaign. Everyone can be a soldier, they say everyone can
be a hero and fulfill their duties from the comfort of their living room. Thus, Activision transforms

Change can be confronting and because of this we often try to resist it. However, we need change and

Bruce Dawe and 10 Things I hate about you by Gil Junger. All three of these texts examine the
process of change and the attitudes towards change. These texts all share simular audiences of
ambitious individuals striving for a better future. Drifters and A Good Friday was held by all both use

CHILD SOLDIERS
Guy Goodwin Gill and Ilene Cohn, Child Soldiers, The Role of Children in Armed Conflicts, A Study
on Behalf of the Henry Dunant Institute, Clarendon Press, Oxford, 1994, 228 pp.
Reviewed by
Styliani Antoniou
Child soldiers is an inside look at the widen existence of armed children who participate in hostilities.
In this study, Professor Goodwin Gill and Dr Cohn emphasize the ways in which international
humanitarian law fails to provide effective protection, particularly in the internal conflicts, examine
the consequences of children participation in armed conflicts and provide factual suggestions for
preventing the recruitment.
More analytically, the authors examine all the aspects that lead children to bear arms by focusing on
conflicts in Guatemala, Israeli, El Salvador, Sri Lanka and Liberia. The book firstly responds to the
question of what the child is and secondly to what are the reasons for children participating in armed
conflicts. At the end, significant suggestions are given on how to prevent and halt the recruitment of
children into armed groups.
The authors, Professor Guy Goodwin Gill and Dr Ilene Cohn, are two eminent lawyers whose work on
Child soldiers was commissioned by the Henry Dunant Institute, the research centre of the Red Cross
movement in Geneva. It is probably not coincidence that this book was launched in 1994, three years
after the Conference on Children of War, taken place in Stockholm and organized by the Swedish Red

F. Scott Fitzgerald s Bernice Bobs Her Hair
Works Cited Missing In F.Scott Fizgererald s Bernice Bobs Her Hair there are significant character
changes noted throughout this short story. In this essay I will examine the development and
representation of Bernice who is a central character. We can observe that her cousin Marjorie changes

This is a problem, as Bernice does not know how to adapt to other situations in society. We learn that
she longs for female conversation and company, which is exchanging confidences flavoured with
giggles and tears .
On the other hand Marjorie was thought of as a wonderful character, full of charisma. One of her
admires Warren McIntyre was crazy about her (pg 1) and she also had affairs with other boys (pg 1).
We can see here the contrast between these cousins. Marjorie and her friends consider Bernice as sorta
dopeless (pg 1), because she can t make witty conversation and doesn t dress fashionably. However,
Bernice cannot understand her unpopularity and finally agrees to let Marjorie teach her how to be
popular. According to Marjorie s formula for popularity, conversation must be carefully planned in
order to surprise and entertain the audience. For conversational purposes, Marjorie suggests that
Bernice use the topic of bobbing her hair. In 1920, when the story was written, short hair was a daring
new fashion, adopted by only the most risky women.
In my opinion Marjorie forces Bernice s change of character, as she is extremely forceful and nasty
towards her. Things also come into hand when she overhears Marjorie discuss her with her aunt. Next
day she confronts Marjorie, who persuades Bernice to get her hair bobbed in order to become more
noticed. Bernice is

Essay On Cancer Insurance
When a patient hears the word cancer, his or her mind often enters complete shock. Then, the
questions of, How serious? Is it treatable? What can I do? How long do I have? emerge. Patients
should not have to ask, How much will this cost? Instead, they should have peace of mind knowing
that some of their expenses will be covered by a very basic health insurance plan; however, this is
often not the case.
Unfortunately, Mary Casey, a 57 year old Missouri native, experienced the exact opposite of peace of
mind when she was diagnosed with adenoid cystic carcinoma. Even though Casey had a health care
policy with some basic cancer coverage, her insurance company, Coventry Health Care of Kansas,
denied paying for a potential lifesaving drug, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Because many insurance companies are privately owned, each corporation is able to determine what
they choose to cover for each plan and often require an extra plan for cancer coverage. However, the
Affordable Care Act calls for preventative services such as mammograms, cancer screenings, and
tobacco cessation interventions. Even though an individual has health insurance, meets all the co pays,
deductibles, completes preventative measures, and other requirements of the agency, there is no
guarantee that the provider with start paying for cancer treatment the day the individual is diagnosed.
This needs to change. The federal government needs to enact a new public policy that requires each
insurance company to cover certain cancer treatments, even in their most basic plans. The federal
government will decide which treatments are covered to ensure that cases, such as Mary Casey s and
Angie Schacher s do not occur. By implementing this new policy, every individual will have cancer
coverage, will no longer need to think about buying additional plans, and may receive peace of mind
when struck with a life changing

  • 3. Plato And Plato s Republic The ancient Greek Philosopher Plato had an interest in finding the ideal government. In Plato s Republic, he discusses his ideas and views of how this ideal government would function. He believed that people are born into 3 different classes, with different responsibilities (Plato 415a). Only people in the golden class were fit to rule. The most effective of these rulers would be philosophers, as they have knowledge of the good of the whole (Plato 473d). This system seems too perfect for me. I believe that Plato s republic is unjust and would not work with our modern society, as it relies too much on the golden class choosing what is right for everyone, and there is nothing to make them accountable if they choose wrong. Before arguing for my ideas on Plato s Republic, I will elaborate more on what the Republic entails. Plato believed that the citizens of a state should be told you are brothers, yet God has framed you differently (Plato 415a). Some people are born into the golden class fit for leadership, some are born into the silver class meant to be auxiliaries to aid the golden class, and others are born into the brass or iron class destined to be farmers and labourers. It was Plato s idea that the fostering of such a belief will make them [citizens] care more for the city and for one another (Plato 415d). The most effective rulers in the golden class would be philosophers (Plato 473d). According to Plato, they alone have the ability to see what is good for the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. George Wolfowitz s Decision Points Essay What motivated the Bush administration to invade Iraq in 2003 despite strong opposition from the international community? On one side, the administration maintains that the invasion was necessary to prevent Iraq from developing weapons of mass destruction (WMDs). In his memoir Decision Points , Bush argued that Saddam posed too much of a threat he brutalized his own people, violated international demands, and sponsored terrorist groups like al Qaeda. On the opposing side, critics of the war argue that the Bush administration used the 9/11 terrorist attack and the threat of WMDs to justify waging an illegal war against Iraq in order to extract Iraqi oil to fund the military industrial complex, to secure Israel, and to finish the job of deposing Saddam. While these explanations for the invasion have some merit, they are problematic because they fail to capture the extent of the administration s actual ambitions. An analysis of how individuals on Bush s administration, such as Paul Wolfowitz and Condoleezza Rice, viewed the world reveals that the invasion of Iraq was intended to demonstrate the effectiveness of and necessity for preemptive action, overthrow Saddam, and transform the Middle East. However, what was perceived to be a quick and easy operation to stabilize the Middle East and secure America s interest backfired and turned Iraq into a safe haven for terrorists. One reason the Bush administration decided to invade Iraq was to set a precedent for the US to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Narrative Essay About A Birthday On a beautiful day in November it started off like any other day in our life. We had such a special occasion to attend that evening at the local park to come together and celebrate our nephew Andy s birthday. We all arrive and set up the event and get all the balloons and decorations up and ready for Andy to arrive. We all sat around and waited in suspense for him to arrive. Andy finally arrived and was so surprised that everyone came to celebrate his day with him. His smile lit up from ear to ear and the joy radiated from his body. He jumped up and down and hugged all of us one by one. He could not believe that we were able to set this up without him knowing or finding out any detail about this surprise. While all the family is sitting together I begin to start having some slight pain but every part of me was saying Just get through this party so you do not take the thunder away from Andy. The pain lingered on and off and I began to count the minutes until it was time to leave. Trying to get the pain to subside without being noticed, I started to sit and then walk around hoping the pain would just stop. After about three hours the party finally comes to an end and I was overcome with so much relief. I began to whisper to my husband bobby, I think I might be in labor but do not freak out. As the words slip out I was so worried what he was going to say and just started at him. Bobby began to say with a muffled and breaking tone, We need to get you to the ... Today, it s much harder to find people and businesses that are selling counterfeit products. E Commerce sites, such as Amazon and E bay have helped create millions of such stores online, which is why it s so hard to check for fakes. One storefront gets shut down and another one opens. Amazon has made it extraordinarily difficult to enforce against counterfeit products. The problem isn t just limited to Amazon though. You never know what you re going to be doing, but then there s the ability to be able to do it and to share that with the people who are listening. Meyers, who is retired, gave me the pleasure of sitting down and talking to me about the world of Mass Media Communication, then and now. Most of what we hear about in the world today comes to us as it is broadcasted through the television news networking stations and the Radio broadcasts throughout the day. It is constantly being updated by the minute as news breaks everywhere, whether it is locally or internationally. However what about the people who present us the news, the people who work ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Media workers need to have social skills, and the ability to talk to people. It is one of the many ways in which a reporter finds out what is going on. They need to be able to present the news in a clear concise way that is easy for listeners to interpret and understand. You need to have an eye and an ear for the story and a desire to capture the latest news, says Al, The process behind establishing what is published and what isn t wholly depends on what is relevant for people in the community to know. The training involved in becoming a reporter deals especially with developing a person s social skill, and their ability to use their curiosity to get information out of people, even when they are reluctant to give it. Interaction with people is important because as a Media worker you have to be able to work together with a group of people in order to make all aspects of a story fit together. Television news requires a thirst for getting the scoop, and it also requires energy and ambition. News reporters have to have the ability to write and speak in a way that makes people think. Comparing A Streetcar Named Desire and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof Comparing A Streetcar Named Desire and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof In the game of life man is given the options to bluff, raise, or fold. He is dealt a hand created by the consequences of his choices or by outside forces beyond his control. It is a never ending cycle: choices made create more choices. Using diverse, complex characters simmering with passion and often a contradiction within themselves, Tennessee Williams examines the link of past and present created by man s choices in A Streetcar Named Desire and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. People cut down forests, release toxic gases into the air, and dump pollutants into the waterways. It s a way of life and some of these activities are actually necessary to carry on civilized life. Nevertheless, there are ways to reduce harmful effects on the planet, and the human race is actually making progress in reducing emissions and replacing the trees that are constantly cut down. However, not all options are being pursued. Reasons for this go beyond the general skepticism of global warming and the like. There is both economic and political favorability in environmental negligence, and behind every one of these reasons, one simple truth ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This is a photograph of a factory in the outskirts of Beijing. Unfortunately, this is where many of the blue collar factory workers also live, so they are exposed to the toxic smoke almost 24 hours a day. Not only the blue collar workers are affected; about one percent of the Beijing population actually lives in areas that have clean air according to a standard set by the European Union (Kahn). The photographer who took this picture chose the right subjects. One of the silhouettes appears to be coughing, and in a more gruesome gallery, Lu Guang documents people that have been affected by toxins, both in air and water, in a polluted China. These acute health risks are a problem for the Chinese residents, but the pollution poses a long term threat to the entire world. China currently produces the most carbon emissions of any country in the world, just over 6 billion tons per year (Each country s share). While this statistic may seem unimaginably big, so is the population of China. Per capita carbon emissions from china are only about 5 tons per year, which is relatively low when compared to almost 20 tons per capita for the United States (Each country s share). Another unbelievable statistic is that the entire European Union combined produces almost two billion tons less carbon dioxide than the United States. • 13. Jerusalem Throughout comedy the emphasis is on human limitations rather than on human greatness (John Morreal Comedy Tragedy and Religion). To what extent does Jez Butterworth focus on human weakness and ineptitude in his play Jerusalem ? Jez Butterworth s Jerusalem creates a comic vision focusing on the ambiguities, turmoil and hypocrisies of the society presented on stage. Butterworth focuses on the characters degeneracies in which the form of humour tends to be the exposure of their unruly behaviour and their reluctance to conform to social norms. The most basic difference between comedy and tragedy lies in its central characters, who are not heroes, and often, as with Shakespeare s Falstaff, are anti heroic The key character Johnny ... His reaction to all these stories is bewilderment I d never do that and that s a mystery which offer a complete lack of power and knowledge that he so clearly tries to maintain and a slight bit of vulnerability on his part. Johnny s weaknesses and ineptitude seem to be masked by wit and extensive stories but he is one of the main offenders for being affected by their own limitations even if his are subtle. Therefore, through his characterisation of Rooster, Butterworth does emphasise and focus on Johnny s limitations by either exploiting his vulnerability or using a community of opinions to degrade him. • 14. Still Life With Skull Essay Still Life with Skull by Paul Cezanne was completed in 1898 during the Post Impressionist era commonly known as the final period. The piece features a skull, fruits, and a piece of white cloth placed on a table. It takes the vanitas genre of art, done using oil on canvas measuring 65.4 cm by 54.3 cm which is exhibited at the Barnes Foundation, Merion, Pennsylvania, USA (Lindsay 1969, 23). This work represents a powerful and essential link between the materialistic artistic movement of Expressionism and the ephemeral features of Impressionism. The painting features a dark background with planes of color used in the foreground and on objects to create space and depth of perspective. Texture is used to create a tonal harmony devoid of tactile or sensual appeal, therefore portraying volume. However, Cezanne leaves little room for color and volume to play their great roles as light diffuses to the balanced tints of ochre. Space is created by the absolute stillness of the piece thereby affirming the painter as a great master of composition, color, and design. Further, the piece features complex fields that create an abstraction by the artist s sensitive and repetitive brushstrokes. Cezanne is portraying the complexity of man s visual perception ... He was born on May 14, 1863 in Hamilton Ontario, and died August 9, 1932 in Toronto, Ontario (Young, 1998). He graduated from the University of Toronto at the age of 21 with a B.A in Mathematics and went on to get his Ph.D. at John Hopkins University in 1887. Fields was very interested to study at John Hopkins University because apparently it was the only university in North America which really stressed research at the time (Fields Institute, n.d.). I think Fields lived a very interesting and dynamic life; he had a chance to pursue his dream of research in mathematics and got to become lifelong friends with the famous mathematician Gosta Mittag Leffler. As opposed to Alfred Nobel, Fields understood the importance of research in mathematics and he did his best to support it and promote it. I think that is the reason why John Charles Fields was able to take mathematics to a new level, because he was so dedicated and passionate about his work. Mathematics is used in many widely different contexts and it is used everyday, although most people don t recognize that and I believe that the creation of the Fields medal was big step in the mathematical universe. In January 1932, Fields indicated that the idea of the medal had the support of the major mathematical societies of France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland and the United States, and he also outlined the principles behind the proposed medal (Fields Institute, n.d). The first Fields medal was awarded in Oslo in 1936. Positive Impact Of The Roman Republic The Greeks, made up of Athenians and Spartans, and the Romans, led by the Roman Republic and Roman Empire, ruled present day Middle East between 4th and 5th centuries BCE. In the Twelve Tables, it s clear that the Roman Republic killed those who do wrong (Doc 5). Meanwhile, the Athenians controlled their citizens through respect and appreciation of each citizens individuality (Doc 2). Both of the governments saw positive and negative impacts. While the Romans deserve credit for their accomplishments in government, the Greeks more effectively controlled their citizens, and saw more positive effects than the Romans. The citizens of the Greek city state Athens were more willing to cooperate with the Athenian government because they weren t oppressed (Doc 2). This conclusion can be drawn from Document 2, Enjoying Global History, written by Henry Abraham and Irwin Pfeffer as a part of the Amsco School Publications in 2006. Abraham and Pfeffer wanted to portray that Athens was a strong city state, since they did not list any of its negatives, which might bias the junior high age students it was intended for. In Greece, positive impact of free thought and independence is an opposite of the Roman ruling. Cuban Migration In order to understand the complex relationship that Cuba has with the United States and the nature of Cuban American immigrant communities that exist in South Florida, it is necessary to first understand the unique circumstances that led to the large influx of Cuban immigrants. For many Cubans the Batista government was simply a puppet regime with the puppet masters being wealthy Americans. This was because his economic policies favoured foreign investors and did little for the development of domestic industries, which resulted in the wealth of the country being concentrated in the hands of a wealthy white minority. Prior to the development of Cuban American communities, 1940 census reflected the population of South Florida being 172,172. Approximately 99.9% of the population spoke English and over 92% of the population was white. The growth of Cuban American communities in South Florida drastically altered this demography. Today, Florida is now the third largest state in the nation, with more than 20 million people in 2015. Florida s growth can best be termed a population boom facilitated by a series of migration. Although migration from other northern states continues to be a major contributor to population growth, international migration plays a more important role, particularly in the south. According to the Pew Research Center 2015 statistical profile of Hispanics of Cuban origin, there is an estimated 2 million who live in the United States. Without approval from their religious leaders, the great thinkers of the Middle Ages were unable to make any large strides in natural philosophy. However, this does not mean that the pervasiveness of religion prevented science from thriving. Rather, the nature of the relationship between science and religion was wholly dependent on the religion in question. During this period, science was mostly founded on the principles of ancient Greek philosophy. In orthodox Jewish and Muslim societies, these beliefs were unable to gain any religious backing, instead harboring only suspicion. In many cases, these feelings of distrust resulted from a lack of necessity to converse with new converts. While the spread of Christianity was heavily reliant on missionary work, other religions such as Islam were simply instated through military force and did not have to seek acceptance from new converts. Furthermore, for Islam, a lack of Arabic translations of ancient Greek works of science and philosophy was also responsible for the religion s distrust of science in the Middle Ages. During the early growth of Islam, in which the orthodox doctrine was created, Muslim leaders were unable to read the ideas of ancient Greek philosophers. Once translations were finally created, orthodox Muslims saw no need to incorporate the ideals of ancient Greece into their religion, and these beliefs were shunned. Finally, this research will attempt to provide an explanation as to why Christianity benefitted more from the use of Greek natural philosophy than the other large religions. The motivations for the Christian acceptance of Greek ideals will be shown to stem from fundamental religious differences between Christianity and other religions, such as the concept of the Holy Trinity. It will also be illustrated that the demographics of Christians in the Middle Ages allowed science to develop more easily. At the end, significant suggestions are given on how to prevent and halt the recruitment of children into armed groups. The authors, Professor Guy Goodwin Gill and Dr Ilene Cohn, are two eminent lawyers whose work on Child soldiers was commissioned by the Henry Dunant Institute, the research centre of the Red Cross movement in Geneva. It is probably not coincidence that this book was launched in 1994, three years after the Conference on Children of War, taken place in Stockholm and organized by the Swedish Red ... Scott Fitzgerald s Bernice Bobs Her Hair Works Cited Missing In F.Scott Fizgererald s Bernice Bobs Her Hair there are significant character changes noted throughout this short story. In this essay I will examine the development and representation of Bernice who is a central character. We can observe that her cousin Marjorie changes Bernice s personality from a quiet, passive person to someone full of confidence in society. We will also see how F.Scott Fitzgerald teaches us an important lesson about the insignificance of popularity. When first introduced to Bernice, she appears as wealthy, ... We learn that she longs for female conversation and company, which is exchanging confidences flavoured with giggles and tears . On the other hand Marjorie was thought of as a wonderful character, full of charisma. One of her admires Warren McIntyre was crazy about her (pg 1) and she also had affairs with other boys (pg 1). We can see here the contrast between these cousins. Marjorie and her friends consider Bernice as sorta dopeless (pg 1), because she can t make witty conversation and doesn t dress fashionably. However, Bernice cannot understand her unpopularity and finally agrees to let Marjorie teach her how to be popular. According to Marjorie s formula for popularity, conversation must be carefully planned in order to surprise and entertain the audience. For conversational purposes, Marjorie suggests that Bernice use the topic of bobbing her hair. How long do I have? emerge. Patients should not have to ask, How much will this cost? Instead, they should have peace of mind knowing that some of their expenses will be covered by a very basic health insurance plan; however, this is often not the case. Unfortunately, Mary Casey, a 57 year old Missouri native, experienced the exact opposite of peace of mind when she was diagnosed with adenoid cystic carcinoma. Even though Casey had a health care policy with some basic cancer coverage, her insurance company, Coventry Health Care of Kansas, denied paying for a potential lifesaving drug, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Because many insurance companies are privately owned, each corporation is able to determine what they choose to cover for each plan and often require an extra plan for cancer coverage. However, the Affordable Care Act calls for preventative services such as mammograms, cancer screenings, and tobacco cessation interventions. Even though an individual has health insurance, meets all the co pays, deductibles, completes preventative measures, and other requirements of the agency, there is no guarantee that the provider with start paying for cancer treatment the day the individual is diagnosed. This needs to change. The federal government needs to enact a new public policy that requires each insurance company to cover certain cancer treatments, even in their most basic plans. The federal government will decide which treatments are covered to ensure that cases, such as Mary Casey s and Angie Schacher s do not occur. By implementing this new policy, every individual will have cancer coverage, will no longer need to think about buying additional plans, and may receive peace of mind when struck with a life changing ...
