Popular Cars Research Paper
Popular Cars Any gearhead knows that not just any car will do for a project. What kind should be
chosen, though? This mainly depends on the person working on the vehicle. For any newcomer, the
range of possible project vehicles can be staggering to approach, for there are many possibilities for a
person to chose. An effective project usually focuses on a tuner car, muscle car, or sports car. These
are the differences between them all. A tuner car is defined as a vehicle that is easy to modify and has
mostly performance oriented modifications. Many of these vehicles are sedans, or four door vehicles.
They can be anywhere from small to medium in size and take to forms of traditional sedans, mass
produced coupes, and hatchbacks. This is the broadest of all of the categories of vehicles.
Examples of this type of vehicle are the Honda Civic, Toyota Supra, Mitsubishi Eclipse, and fox body
Ford Mustangs. Normally these cars are less expensive and more readily available than the others on

Because most muscle cars were manufactured 35 or more years ago, the vehicles are many times
found in severe disrepair. This makes restorations the most common work done to muscle cars.
Because of their restored market value, many cars remain however they left the factory. Sports cars
are cars that are designed to go fast, but also handle better than their muscle car counterparts. A sports
car is small, seats one or two people, has a low center of gravity, and is very light compared to other
cars. Unlike muscle cars, sports cars are still manufactured today. Furthermore, the movement was
started in Europe and most sports cars are made by European companies. These vehicles were first
manufactured in 1910 and have been in constant production ever

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, A Prolific Writer Of Concertos
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, 1757 1791, was a prolific writer of concertos, composing 27 piano
concertos. Throughout his writing he developed the use of the cadenza, highlighting the performer s
talent with a virtuosic passage. Not all Mozart s cadenzas have survived therefore future composers
have attempted to recreate these passages, often reflecting the period in which they were written.
Cadenza comes from the Latin Cadere , to fall and broadly means a flourish at the end of a single
melodic line. In the Medieval period pieces contained flourishes to enhance their final cadences,
though few were notated. This is the cadenza in its earliest form. In late seventeenth century opera the
improvised cadenza was purely virtuosic notes ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
An example of this is in the first movement of C.P.E. Bach s Harpsichord Concerto in G major H475
below.
Ex. 1: Obbligato cadenzas in C.P.E. Bach Harpsichord Concerto, H 475, First Movement. By the mid
eighteenth century the cadenza had become an established element of the concerto, a tradition
contributed to by the fact that the cadenza added drama, created contrast between the tutti and solo
performer and created a conclusion. Most cadenzas were at a cadential six four, placed toward the
final solo section of the movement as shown above.
Mozart was an influential composer in the eighteenth century, composing many of his works for the
pianoforte. Mozart s early cadenzas do not usually quote from the movement within which they were
written. These generic cadenzas often consist of scales and arpeggios which, in theory, could be
transferred for use in another concerto in similar tempo and key. This happens in the cadenza of the
first movement of K. 238 in B flat major which is made of regular scales and consists of no real
thematic material relating to the work.
As the eighteenth century improvised cadenza began to develop, the passages became longer and more
virtuosic. Mozart and Daniel Turk (1750 1813), notable composer, organist, scholar and peer of
Quantz, both disagreed with this, believing that the new cadenzas were distracting from the work.

West Memphis Three Case
In 1993, three boys were murdered in West Memphis, Arkansas. Because of the condition the victims
were in, the authorities believed that they were involved in a satanic ritual. Three teenagers were
accused and convicted because they were outcasts and no other leads were pursued. Even though the
West Memphis Three got justice after almost two decades of serving time, the original trial was
prejudiced.
The three teenagers were Jessie Misskelley, Jason Baldwin, and Damien Echols. They had records of
criminal activity and violent behaviour. Furthermore, Misskelley and Echols had dropped out of
school. Echols and Baldwin were close friends, but only acquainted with Misskelley. Echols is

Before the jury made a decision about the guilt of the defendants, the jury foreman talked to both an
attorney and the judge involved. A former attorney for the defendant Misskelley later noted that he
heard the judge and foreman speaking during a lunch break, and the foreman stated that the jury was
almost to a conclusion while Judge Burnett responded, You ll need food for when you come back for
sentencing, (arkansasonline.com 1). The judge was implying that the defendants were guilty before the
jury reached a verdict. It was known that the foreman was advocating that the defendants were liable
for the scandal. Although there was a retrial, it was still unjust because of the circumstances of the
deal. After many requests for retrial, the West Memphis Three received an Alford plea deal. The deal
is where the accused plead guilty while still professing their actual innocence, in cases where they
accept that prosecutors have sufficient information to acquire a conviction. The Alford plea contrived
that the defendants served 18 years and 78 days, which was the time that they served, and could not
seek domestic help for improper imprisonment. Even though the original convictions were repealed,
the West Memphis Three still didn t receive justice for their

Impact Of A Baby On Teenage Mothers
Becoming a mother changes a woman s life forever, as you now have a child who depends on you for
love and for a stable environment. Being a teenage mother is even more hard work, as a lot of the time
the young girls have not even grown up themselves. Today I will be exploring the impact bringing a
baby into the world has on a teenager s life. As part of this research, a survey was conducted in order
to find out first hand the impact becoming a mother had on a group of teenage girls.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
Money is one of the biggest impacts on teenage pregnancy. The cost to prepare for a baby (cot, change
table, pram, clothes, nappies etc.) and prenatal care as well as the other expenses involved in bringing
up a child can pose vast financial hardships for teenage mothers. Often girls are forced to drop out of
school in order to work so they can provide for their baby, but can find it difficult to find decent jobs
since they did not complete their schooling. A high percentage of teen parents have to rely on welfare
payments to support their families, but these payments are often barley enough to survive on (Home
Remedies for you, 2017). Some teenage mothers even rely on their parents to help financially support
them, which can make them feel guilty for having to rely on their parents. In worse case scenarios,
some teenage mothers may find it difficult to even provide the proper nutrition and care for their
babies (Kamalasanan, 2012). In the survey conducted, many girls

Self Assessment And Reflection Paper
Self assessment and Reflection Paper This self assessment and Reflection Paper is about the questions
on page 109. The main arguments are ontological, teleological, and ontological. Something I learned
was worldviews. I think it s important to know the worldviews, so you can see the other side of things.
It allows you to have conversations and arguments with people with those worldviews and know what
they are thinking, knowing the worldview makes it easier to talk to people about faith. The thing that
was most intriguing was the arguments for a creat. The most challenging thing in this chapter was the
ontological argument(). The ontological argument seemed a little faulty, you could replace God with
something else. The ontological argument also was a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
But I understood it a short while after being confused. But the most useful argument was the
cosmological and teleological arguments. Both the cosmological and teleological argument makes
sense.the cosmological arg menos says whatever begins to exist had a creator ()it makes sense that the
earth is very unlikely to just happen, it has a creator, like a watch. The teleological arguments says if it
has a purpose it has a creator, and that makes sense because everything we make is made by a creator,
() how does earth not? It makes sense that the earth and everything on it comes from a creator. The
law of noncontradiction is also a big help in conversations and arguments, the law of noncontradiction
says you cannot contradict yourself, like a materialist saying all truth is subjective is contradicting
their self, because the just made a objective statement. I chose ontological and teleological arguments
because they made most sense to me. They were easy to understand, simple, and very helpful. Other
arguments are helpful,

Self Concept Essay
Self Concept Essay
There is a lot of things that I have learned about myself in the past few weeks of this course. I have
learned many things about myself that I would have never known if it was not for this course. I have
learned about my; self concept, attitudes and feelings. I have also learned about social influence,
group dynamics and relationships. I learned about myself and how to describe the way that I am and
the way that I think.
I have learned that I am a creative and compassionate. I am a creative person because I enjoy activities

I seldom ask for help, and I don t go out of my way to talk to people. From what I have learned in this
course, I think that to some people this might make me look like a jerk. Or that I think I m better than
them. When In reality I m just a little bit of a socially awkward person. It s not that I don t like other
people, I just really enjoy spending time with myself. I know a lot of people, but I only have two or
three that I consider my friends. I value the quality of my relationships more than the quantity. I would
rather go out and do something with one or two friends, rather than a large group. I enjoy having the
close relationships with my few friends, I have no desire to fill my life with a ton of superficial
friendships that come and go.
I take a lot of pride in the work that I do. It doesn t matter what I m doing, it could be playing video
games, riding my bike, or at work. When I succeed at something I give myself a lot of credit. To some
people this may seem like I m conceded, or that I like to show off. The reality of it is that rewarding
myself for doing something good motivates me to continue to do good things. It s a way for me to
motivate myself. The way I credit myself is not in the fashion of gloating, or showing off my success,
but the opposite. I play off my successes like they re no big deal. To some people I may seem
conceded when I accomplish something. For example, when I was in the Army, I was selected for

The Is A Humanitarian Catastrophe
Syria
Aleppo is a humanitarian catastrophe. Frequent air and chemical attacks leaves the average Syrian
civilian in fear for their lives on a daily basis. With the Western half controlled by the Bashar al Assad
government and the Eastern half in controlled by anti government rebels bloodshed always lingers.
For years, power has shifted between the two sides with many outside forces joining, tipping the
power balances. With no end in sight, massive loss of life is becoming a universal issue.
Inspired by the Arab Spring, revolution was on the horizon in Syria. Fed up with the government
control, rebels have rallied against the government. In nearly five years of armed conflict the civil war
in Syria has claimed nearly 470,000 lives: 400,000 through direct violence and an additional 70,000 as
an indirect result of the war. A governmental regime which uses terrorists tactics is one that should be
looked at as a threat. The president of Syria, Bashar Al Assad, has carried out a siege against his own
civilians in Aleppo trapping them from the rest of the world. Depriving nearly 250,000 people of food,
water, and supplies while bombing them on a daily basis is simply inhumane (UN News Centre). The
government has gone to the point of using chemical weapons on their own civilians, killing many
men, women, and children. The bloodbath is more than just those who support the Ba ath Party
Government and those who want a revolution, but includes many groups and world powers. Although

Magical Realism
Two of the most widely recognized major contributors to Latin American Literature are Gabriel
García Márquez s One Hundred Years of Solitude and Isabel Allende s Eva Luna. Both are written in
the genre of magical realism, a literary form that describes fantasy and imaginary events in such a way
that it becomes believable and real to the reader. Specifically, these books describe the geopolitical
turmoil of Latin America during the early twentieth century and the mid twentieth century;
respectively, dealing with war, suffering and death. Although the authors are of different genders, both
of these books are written from a feminist perspective and merge fantasy with reality by introducing
the reader to myths, prophecies, and legends that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
50). On the other hand, there were events that were truly magical, such as Father Nicanor Reyna s
levitation powers and flying carpets. As previously stated, these incidents make it difficult for the
reader to distinguish the boundary between reality and fiction.
Like One Hundred Years of Solitude, Eva Luna uses magical realism in an oppressed Latin American
environment as a means of social change. The book starts out as a myth beginning with its title and
character name. Eva s name is symbolic itself. Eva, which means life and Luna, which is Spanish for
moon is a symbol of the matriarchal power that women possess. The opening of the book places us in
a world of magic to displace us from reality. The mission was a small oasis in the heart of an expanse
of voluptuous vegetation writhing and twisting from the banks of the river to the feet of the
monumental geologic towers that rose toward the firmament like one of God s mistakes (Allende p.
2). In addition to Eva s name being symbolic, her conception was brought about by magical realism.
Eva was conceived as her Indian father lay dying from a venomous snake bite. Consuelo, Eva s
mother, became aware that notwithstanding pain, fear of death, and shortness of breath, the gardener
responded with ardent enthusiasm when she rubbed his body...that unexpected erection so moved her
mature virgin s heart.... (Allende p. 18). Against the odds, he began to

The Pan Africanism For Beginners
The Pan African movement as described in Lemelle s Pan Africanism for Beginners is a set of ideas
and ideologies containing social and cultural, political and economic, material and spiritual aspects.
Each aspect is accompanied by a plethora of historical figures and terms unique to the movement, well
described throughout the text and in the presented glossary. This book makes it easy to understand all
the information accompanying each topic. While it does have its strengths and weaknesses, this book
as a whole creates and explains a diverse scope of information. It describes the beginnings of Pan
Africanism and shows how the beliefs of many influential people have stemmed from notions and
dreams of years passed.
As a learning experience, Lemelle s Pan Africanism for Beginners provides a strong broad base of
knowledge. Instead of concentrating on the specifics of Pan Africanism, this book covers a broad
range of aspects, from the Diaspora to Garveyism to the Harlem Renaissance. Because there are so
many people and movements associated with Pan Africanism, it is nearly impossible to go into detail
about every important event in one book. Even so, Lemelle does a good job at providing enough detail
on each topic, while still conveying how complex Pan Africanism is. By including many facets of Pan
Africanism, Lemelle is able to spark an interest in the reader so that they can continue onto more
specific research. For instance, when Lemelle explained the Conference of

Bright Lines Identity
The novel Bright Lines tells the story of a Muslim family in the heart of New York and their trials and
tribulations as they face the assimilation of American culture. Throughout the story, the young
characters, Maya, El, and Charu are the most affected by this assimilation because they clash with
what their elders think is best. El is a particularly interesting character because he is the most affected
by the division of the two cultures he was raised in. The audience often sees El confused about the
way he feels about his body while at the same time he is suffering from visions that haunt him.
Growing up was very tough for El because he faced many obstacles from her parents being murdered
because of the war to her complete inability to connect to anyone on a truly deep level. This, along
with the diverse cultural roles in his life, has left his in many predicaments where she struggles with
who he is. His identity is something that he longs for but has yet to find. A major aspect of his identity
of which he struggles greatly with is his sexuality. Religion in the novel is an influential aspect of El s
life and his struggle with his sexuality. The emphasis placed on religion is a very important part of life,
especially in India. In the culture presented in the novel, religion, while not presented often, is a huge
aspect of life. It is seen dictating every interaction a person has. While El does not show any
attachment to a particular religion (despite the time she prays

Chomsky And The War On Terror
We live in a day and age of hypocrisy and it seems that a majority don t acknowledge that we are all
total hypocrites. Noam Chomsky, a well known American linguist, philosopher, cognitive scientist,
logician, political commentator, social justice activist, and anarcho syndicalist advocate does an
elaborate job in his speech given at Harvard University, to make us question if there really is a war on
terror. Chomsky calls everybody a hypocrite and uses the U.S. Army Manual definition of terrorism to
argue that there can t be a war on terrorism because the U.S. is also a terrorist group itself. We can t
fight something if we ourselves do that same thing. Chomsky backs up his claim with many pieces of
evidence and facts about the U.S. involvement with terrorist actions. His argument is well put because
it does a good job in making us understand what is really happening with the U.S. and the war on
terror.
People are probably thinking Chomsky must be crazy, to call America a terrorist group. Americans
view America as a nation that fights terror and fail to look at all the reports and articles about the U.S.
actually doing acts that are defined to be terrorist acts. If you love America, then you must know about
the great document called The Declaration of Independence. It was written by one of our founding
fathers, Thomas Jefferson. People back in the day looked at Jefferson as a crazy person as well when
he wrote the document. How could he address a new type of governing and

The Pros And Cons Of The DREAM Act
About 400,000 illegal immigrants come to the United States each year, each one with their own story
and reasons. These illegal immigrants often have sorrowful stories that make you want to sympathize
with them, but these immigrants never think about how their presence affects the United States. On
September 5th, President Trump and Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced the end of the DACA
program; they contended that undocumented immigrants took economic opportunities away from
citizens and lawful permanent residents (DREAM). The DACA program was created in 2012 by
President Obama and allowed illegal immigrants to stay in the United States. Recently, President
Trump ended the program, but gave Congress a window to formulate a better plan ... Show more

Many proponents of the DREAM Act argue that these kids were brought to the United States before
they had a say in their life circumstances. Denying them hope and opportunity is punishment for an
act beyond their control (Fitz). Supporters of the DREAM Act continually advertise this argument;
They claim that the children are innocent, and the United States is treating these children unjustly, but
not rewarding them with legal residence and expensive college tuition subsidies is simply withholding
benefits to which they never had any entitlement in the first place (Mehlman). These children are
innocent, and deserve to be given an opportunity to come to the United States and have a good
education, but it should not be through the DREAM Act or illegal immigration. It is not un American
to prioritize United States citizens, and other immigrants waiting to enter the country legally. A gross
misconception is that DACA is only opposed by a radical few who want to hurt innocent children and
families, but a recent Quinnipiac University poll shows that Americans across the political spectrum
favor tougher enforcement of existing immigration laws over rolling out the amnesty welcome wagon.
(Malkin). Despite this poll, many patrons of the DREAM Act think that continued amnesty is a right
the United States is taking away, when in truth, the general public supports tougher immigration law.
The DREAM literally goes against popular opinion, as it sponsors amnesty, and not harsher

The Disaster Management Stages Of Disaster
Disasters are categorized as natural, man made, or a combination of the two. For this paper, I will
identify a natural or man made disaster that are currently brandishing in the world and are providing
news headlines or happening within my very community. I will describe the various characteristics of
the disaster chosen and apply the disaster management stages.
Current Natural or Man Made Disaster
The current natural disaster I will be discussing pertains to the flooding in Houston, Texas. The initial
flooding occurred on April 18, 2016 afflicting nine counties in and around Houston, placing them in a
state of disaster. Seven lives have been taken as a result of the immense flooding. 1,000 homes have
been flooded, as well as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Preventability measures are taken to prepare for disasters that are known risk for happening. Although
not all disastrous events can be prevented initially, steps can be taken to reduce the impact and after
effects when they do occur. For instance, with the Houston flood, numerous reservoirs were
constructed to help control some overflow of some 67 billion gallons of water. Imminence coincides
with predictability in most cases and also helps the planning of prevention and control when it can be
implemented. Weather forecasters can be detrimental when it comes to predicting a flood as this can
predict expected rainfall duration and amounts. The scope and number of casualties is usually tallied
during and after a disastrous event as the baseline is always zero prior to the event happening. This
specific criteria represents the number of people displaced, injured or killed per event happening.
Intensity is typically measured before an event to help garner some sort of ability to prepare for an
expected incoming crisis. Intensity can also be measured during a disaster to help foretell fatality rates
and also overall damage incurrence.
Application of Disaster Management Stages
Prevention, preparation and planning, responsiveness, and recovery are all the stages of managing a
disaster. Prevention is the first stage in disaster management. This stage occurs before a disaster takes
place and identifies possible risks.

Accounting And Financial Methods And Tools
Firm valuation relates to accounting in that it uses a combination of both accounting and financial
methods and tools. Some of the accounting tools used includes the valuation of firms assets, valuation
of a firm s profit and loss and also the valuation of a firm s obligations, which are liabilities. Just like
accounting, firm valuation process follows defined steps so as to arrive at the correct value of the firm
that is free from errors. There are five steps involved; preparation and planning, adjusting the financial
statements, choosing the business valuation methods, applying the selected valuation method and
finally reaching the firm valuation conclusion. (Candon, 78). On the first step, the most valuable thing
is to determine the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After the determination of how and under what conditions of measuring the firm s value, the next step
is the gathering of relevant data and information that impacts the firm value. (Howard, 97). Such data
include; steady earnings above the industry norm, good marketing plans, skilled and motivated staff,
and well documented financial and accounting statements and well detailed business procedures that
are written down.
Some of the gathered data such as the firm s historical financial statements are adjusted so as to
prepare the inputs required for the firm s valuation methods and hence it leads us to the second step.
The main financial statements required for the firm s valuation are the income statement and the
balance sheet that are produced by the accounting process. This further shows the relationship
between firm valuation and accounting. The best way to value a firm with a historical approach would
be looking at the historical statements, income statement and balance sheet. Smaller firms should be
looked at the last three to five years while larger firms should have a longer period to check. Due to
the fact that, business owners have considerable discretion in how they use the firm s assets and also
what expenses and income they recognize, this rise the need to adjust the firm s historical records.

The Effects Of Solar Power On The Earth
Saving the earth
Imagine a typical family rushing out of the house to go to work or school. Many of the simple things
can be easily over looked, and while rushing out even more can be forgotten. Children can easily leave
things plugged in and parents can forget to turn the light switches off. Fossil fuels are wasted each
time someone forgets to conserve energy. This is a problem because fossil fuels are nonrenewable.
This means that they can not be produced at the rate in which they are used. People of the United
States should not have to worry about when fossil fuels are going to run out. The Environmental
Protection Agency, also known as the EPA, should be given more control over how energy should be
made. By doing so the EPA would be promoting the use of solar power to help make renewable and
lasting energy. Solar power is a great use of alternative fuel because it protects the earth from further
harm, it allows the earth to be protected and assures lasting power for the future.
Overview of the Problem Nonrenewable energy is a problem in the United States. Wars have been
fought for the use of oil and other nonrenewable resources. One article even suggests that, The energy
crisis of the 1970 s drove up gasoline prices, sent the economy into a tailspin and prompted lawmakers
and government agencies to develop new energy polices. ( Are renewable energy sources viable
alternatives to fossil fuels ). For many years the question on people s minds has been, when are we

The Fundamental Process of Turning Sugar in Energy
One of the most fundamental processes of life is the ability to turn sugar into energy. Our cells have
the ability to carry out this process both aerobically and anaerobically. Although anaerobic respiration
does not produce the amount of energy that aerobic respiration does; it is still a very important
process, because it allows cells to turn sugar into useable energy in the absence of oxygen. (Lab 15:
Fermentation Experiments: Background) This is done though a process called fermentation.
Fermentation consists of glycolysis plus reactions that regenerate NAD+ by transferring electrons
from NADH to pyruvate. (Campbell and Reece 173 178) There are many different types but we

A Study On New Orleans Essay
32 | spring 2016 get involved www. kappa.org | 33
For more than two centuries, coffee has been a fundamental part of the culinary and social culture of
New Orleans.
It s not just the city s penchant for chicory café au lait served alongside warm beignets. Nor is it just
landmark gathering spots like Café du Monde and or Morning Call Coffee Stand that spawned the
notion of the laborers coffee break and served locals and tourists for generations.
And it isn t solely boozy Café Brulôt, the brandy spiked coffee drink New Orleans families serve in
slender china cups that makes
New Orleans a true coffee town.
Alongside these the gustatory expressions is the city s historic and longstanding role in the coffee
trade. New Orleans has been a significant coffee port for more than 200 years. Since the early 19th
century, import companies have brought in green coffee beans from around the world through the Port
of New Orleans. Today, it is the second largest coffee port in the country.
Among those importers, Westfeldt Brothers Inc. is one of the oldest of its kind in the United States.
The company was first founded in
Mobile, Alabama, in 1851 by Swedish Vice Consul Gustavus Adolphus
George Westfeldt, who had immigrated to the U.S. in 1835. Westfeldt moved to New Orleans in 1853.
By 1880, his company had become one of the country s principal green coffee importers. Since then, it
has been run by six generations of Westfeldts.
The latest generation is the first to be represented by a

Six Degrees Of Separation Case Analysis
There is a common belief that every person on the planet is connected through a chain of five people.
Using this phenomenon, scam artist Pau, from Six Degrees of Separation (1993), was able to con
wealthy families by pretending to be their children`s friend from college. Paul, however, became
attached to one of these families the Flan and Ouisa Kittredge since he became Flan`s son.
From this first encounter with the Kittredges, Paul immediately begins acting as if he were Flan`s son.
After Paul first barges into the Kittredges door due to a fake mugging, he immediately treats Flan as if
he were his father by cooking and cleaning for him. For Flan, this treatment causes Paul to fill the void
of his children at college, so Flan also begins treating Paul as a son. For instance, Flan gives Paul a
pink shirt that belonged to his son Woody. The shirt however, had sentimental value to Woody as his
father gave him the shirt when he realized that Woody had become muscular. The shirt, which
represented Flan`s love, was passed from Woody to Paul, signifying that Paul slowly replaced Woody
as Flan`s son. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When Paul decides to scam a couple he met in Central Park, he concocts an elaborate story in which
Flan is his father. He claimed that he was a product from Flan`s hippie, radical days as a freedom

likely believed that the story was true and that he was in fact Flan`s son. Moreover, when asked his
real name by Ouisa, Paul claims that his real name is Paul Portier Kittredge . Also, during this phone
call, Paul reveals to Ouisa that he felt a special bond to the Kittredge and hoped to become just like
Flan by becoming an art dealer. Paul`s idolization of Flan suggests his desire to become Flan`s

Chicago Race Riots Essay
A Look Into the Chicago Race Riots
The Civil War was fought over the race problem, to determine the place of African Americans in
America. The Union won the war and freed the slaves. However, when President Lincoln declared the
Emancipation Proclamation, a hopeful promise for freedom from oppression and slavery for African
Americans, he refrained from announcing the decades of hardship that would follow to obtaining the
new won freedom . Over the course of nearly a century, African Americans would be deprived and
face adversity to their rights. They faced something perhaps worse than slavery; plagued with the
threat of being lynched or beat for walking at the wrong place at the wrong time. Despite the addition

Many left to the North because it was a place ...where there are no lynchings (Sandburg 15), a place
where they could be safe. The black population in Chicago lived in an area known as the black belt.
The Negro Migration caused the population in the Chicago black belt to more than double from
50,000 to 125,000 making Chicago have the third or fourth largest black population next to New York,
Baltimore, Philadelphia, and Washington (7).
A large influx of colored people created many problems. First, there was a major problem in the
availability in housing, of which was responded to with racism. This is the root for the hatred between
the black and white communities. There wasn t enough housing in the black belt community, so
Negroes began to spill into white neighborhoods. The very existence of a colored person in a
neighborhood would lower the property values. When a house was sold to a colored person, the rent
for the house would be higher than the previous, white owner s rent. Real Estate companies believed
that it is a matter of common knowledge that house after house...whether under white or black agents,
comes to the Negro at an increased rental (Sandburg 46). They sold housing despite the fact that the
Negro in Chicago, paid a lower wage than the white workman (47), and that black people would have

While Celiac s Disease is undoubtedly a real condition, the gluten free diet is a current fad.
Particularly in large, urban areas, the gluten free has sparked an outpouring of social media posts. By
picking up on the popularity of the gluten free diet, Denny s implies that even if someone is on the
diet, he or she can still eat there. As a cheap, quick diner, the average consumer would not assume that
Denny s has many gluten free options. However, by portraying this information through a humorous

beyond that, by responding to such an obscure question from a blogger and using a question about a

gluten, soy, and dairy, Denny s has to point out that while gf typically means girlfriend in short hand,
it now means gluten free to trendy millennials (Carr, Stop the Free From Fad ). Through this post,
Denny s demonstrates how ridiculous it is that gf refers to gluten free instead of girlfriend. Ultimately,

The IEP team should focus on academic preparation, cognitive performance, and social skills

Firstly, they should consider academic preparation and performance. Students with intellectual

in language skills, math, and reading comprehension (Friend, 2014, Pg. 240). Such challenges in math

Cognitive performance is also a necessary area upon which the IEP team should focus. Students with

Teachers and parents expect them to adapt to the general education or special education setting for
students without intellectual disabilities. Students with intellectual disabilities require a different
curriculum because they need to learn some survival skills before their transition into adulthood.
Many lessons offered in the general curriculum are not important for such students with intellectual
disabilities, especially because there are other important skills that they need to acquire such as life
skills and behavior development (Friend, 2014, Pg. 259).
Students with intellectual disabilities face the dilemma of high stakes testing. Some students with
intellectual disabilities are expected to complete such tests although the tests are beyond their
capabilities (Friend, 2014, Pg. 259). The expectations set by professionals are too high as students
with intellectual disabilities are expected to learn from the same curriculum as those without
disabilities. In some institutions, they are seen as the cause of school failure to attain federally
mandated goals of sufficient yearly progress. Even though learning the core curriculum is essential for
students with intellectual disabilities, there are several disadvantages of setting the standards too high.

John Lubbock Naturalism
John Lubbock, a British naturalist and politician, authored the quote, Your character is what you
yourself choose to make it. I firmly believe that he is right in his writing of this quote. This quote s
meaning can be taken taken in a literal sense, but there is a lot of context which must be considered.
There also exists the very precise wording that the author chose in his wording of this quote. There
exists a lot of bias in the author s writing of this quote, as he was a naturalist at the time of the nature
versus nurture debate. I am on the author s side and am a firm supporter in the meaning of this quote.
To examine the quote closely, people must first look at the concept that is naturalism. Naturalism is
the concept which states that people are not just products of their environment but that people choose
what characteristics of which they develop. In the quote the author takes the viewpoint that the
environment may leave an imprint upon the character if a person, but it is the person who ultimately
chooses who they want to be. While some may say that the author is conveying that the person is not

Character Analysis Of Mice And Men
John Steinbeck sets the scene of his novella, Of Mice and Men, in the Salinas River Valley, a few
miles south of Soledad. The time period of the novella is the 1930 s during the Great Depression. The
Great Depression began in 1929 after the U.S. had a major financial crisis. People lost all of their
money and their homes when the stock market crashed. Many men became migrant farm workers who
would travel from farm to farm, working for just enough money for food and a few belongings. John
Steinbeck grew up in the Salinas River Valley during the Depression. In his novella, of Mice and Men,
Steinbeck uses the characters Candy, Curley s wife, and Crooks to prove people will do anything to

expensive clothes. His father is the boss on the farm and has a lot of money. Curley s wife tries to talk
to the boys but they don t trust her. She says, Why can t I talk to you? I never get to talk to nobody. I
get awful lonely (Steinbeck 86). This quote shows that no one ever tries or wants to talk to her. Curley
s wife complains to Lennie about how lonely she is and that she just wants to talk to people. As the
book continues, she explains to Lennie why she never gets to talk to anyone. She says, You can talk to
people, but I can t talk to nobody but Curley. Else he gets mad (Steinbeck 87). This quote shows that
Curley is very controlling over his wife and only lets her talk to him. Curley s wife talks to Lennie
even though he is very intimidating. She is desperate to talk to anyone so she flirts with Lennie and
the other men to get their attention.
Lastly, Steinbeck uses Crooks to show the things people are willing to do to not be lonely. Crooks is
the black crippled stable buck who works on the farm. He is the only black man for miles and has no
one to talk with, or to be his friend. Crooks tells Lennie, A guy needs somebody to be near him . . . A

sympathetic of Iago. I think that when trying to understand the character Iago, first we need to
recognize what Shakespeare s original intentions for the play were, and also the style of plays he
tended to write, as they all have obvious similarities. Rather than writing about stock characters,
which was common in the theater during Elizabethan times, Shakespeare wrote about people who

Stempel is very much a symbolist critic. Stempel is of the belief that Iago is the symbol of evil, he has

argues against Stempel, claiming that Iago is an intelligent, cunning character who is like many
characters so commonly used the psychological style of writing. McCloskey similar to Rosenberg
thinks that Iago was a man who merely set out to seek justice, who had gotten so far that it was too
late to remove himself from the situation. After researching and examining the papers of these critics it
has become clear that Iago did not carry out evil for the sake of it, he had a motive. Iago had a lot of
jealous and hate built up inside of him, he, like many people had a reputation to attain. Since Othello
and Cassio harmed his reputation, he planned to get revenge. Overcome with power, and emotions,
Iago lacked the will to refrain himself from causing such

Deviance And Violence In Sports Analysis
After reading both chapters, I found the constructionist approach on deviance important as it allows
for diversity within sports. It would be extremely boring if individuals in a particular sport had the
same style of playing. The games would suffer due to a lack of excitement and possible funding that
are generated from sold tickets and merchandise. Because of its raw nature and physical violence, I
think sports such as Mixed martial arts are a great example of how deviance and violence fall into
sports. Numerous individuals including myself find these sports interesting as the athletes withhold a
sport ethic that shows deviant overconformity. In MMA matches, mixed martial artists can be seen
with bloody faces and visible bruises, yet they still continue to fight in order to gain distinction for

Wonders Of Marijuan The Federal Dilemma Essay
Wonders of Marijuana: The Federal Dilemma
In our society, especially in recent times, the topic of interest for many is the highly stigmatized drug
marijuana. Marijuana is currently under national debate on whether it should be legalized on a federal
level. A myriad of news and media outlets report that marijuana is legal in multiple states for
numerous reasons, but the federal government still fails to legalize it as of now. To provide insight,
marijuana also referred to as cannabis, is derived from the leaves and flowers of the hemp plant and
can be used in many ways smoking, edibles (food or drink), vaporizing, tinctures, ingestible oils,
topical lotions or balms, and dabbing (delivers a higher THC in the form of hash oil, wax, or shatter).
THC and CBD are called cannabinoids, which are the major chemicals in marijuana that assist the
user for medical purposes or recreationally. As stated by Americans for Safe Access (ASA), The
federal government claims that marijuana is not medicine and in Gonzales v. Raich (2005) the United
States Supreme Court held that the federal government has the constitutional authority to prohibit

How far do these sources suggest that young Henry VIII was an impressive figure as a king?
In the 16th century an impressive figure of a king would mean that he demonstrated power both
physically and economically and a good education. However as source two suggests, Henry might be
considered less than impressive as he shows insecurities. A stronger argument though is that Henry did
demonstrate the features of an impressive king as he had all the attributes listed above which is clear
from all three sources.

Source one implies that Henry is a very rich and powerful king as it shows us spending time practicing
his archery with his guards. The king was practicing archery in the garden with the archers of the
guard. It could be inferred from this that Henry has free recreational time as he is already in control of
everything else. The argument that he is an impressive king gains weight from this because he has
power over everyone, and that he gets people to do the jobs he would normally have to do. This can be
inferred from source one as Henry spends his time in the garden practicing archery with the archers of
the guards. This suggests that Henry has appointed other people to do the jobs he would have to do
whilst he is in the garden practicing archery. It could also be inferred that he is wealthy because he
would be paying these people to do jobs for him. The source is a written document taken from a
personal diary of the king s Chaplin, John Taylor in 1513; he was also a royal official. The source is
likely to be accurate and reliable as it is a personal diary. John Taylor would have been recording what

source, this lends weight to the strongest argument that Henry VII was an impressive figure as king.

  • 2. Popular Cars Research Paper Popular Cars Any gearhead knows that not just any car will do for a project. What kind should be chosen, though? This mainly depends on the person working on the vehicle. For any newcomer, the range of possible project vehicles can be staggering to approach, for there are many possibilities for a person to chose. An effective project usually focuses on a tuner car, muscle car, or sports car. These are the differences between them all. A tuner car is defined as a vehicle that is easy to modify and has mostly performance oriented modifications. Many of these vehicles are sedans, or four door vehicles. They can be anywhere from small to medium in size and take to forms of traditional sedans, mass produced coupes, and hatchbacks. This is the broadest of all of the categories of vehicles. Examples of this type of vehicle are the Honda Civic, Toyota Supra, Mitsubishi Eclipse, and fox body Ford Mustangs. Normally these cars are less expensive and more readily available than the others on this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Because most muscle cars were manufactured 35 or more years ago, the vehicles are many times found in severe disrepair. This makes restorations the most common work done to muscle cars. Because of their restored market value, many cars remain however they left the factory. Sports cars are cars that are designed to go fast, but also handle better than their muscle car counterparts. A sports car is small, seats one or two people, has a low center of gravity, and is very light compared to other cars. Unlike muscle cars, sports cars are still manufactured today. Furthermore, the movement was started in Europe and most sports cars are made by European companies. These vehicles were first manufactured in 1910 and have been in constant production ever ... • 3. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, A Prolific Writer Of Concertos Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, 1757 1791, was a prolific writer of concertos, composing 27 piano concertos. Throughout his writing he developed the use of the cadenza, highlighting the performer s talent with a virtuosic passage. Not all Mozart s cadenzas have survived therefore future composers have attempted to recreate these passages, often reflecting the period in which they were written. Cadenza comes from the Latin Cadere , to fall and broadly means a flourish at the end of a single melodic line. In the Medieval period pieces contained flourishes to enhance their final cadences, though few were notated. This is the cadenza in its earliest form. In late seventeenth century opera the improvised cadenza was purely virtuosic notes ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... An example of this is in the first movement of C.P.E. Bach s Harpsichord Concerto in G major H475 below. Ex. 1: Obbligato cadenzas in C.P.E. Bach Harpsichord Concerto, H 475, First Movement. By the mid eighteenth century the cadenza had become an established element of the concerto, a tradition contributed to by the fact that the cadenza added drama, created contrast between the tutti and solo performer and created a conclusion. Most cadenzas were at a cadential six four, placed toward the final solo section of the movement as shown above. Mozart was an influential composer in the eighteenth century, composing many of his works for the pianoforte. Mozart s early cadenzas do not usually quote from the movement within which they were written. These generic cadenzas often consist of scales and arpeggios which, in theory, could be transferred for use in another concerto in similar tempo and key. This happens in the cadenza of the first movement of K. 238 in B flat major which is made of regular scales and consists of no real thematic material relating to the work. As the eighteenth century improvised cadenza began to develop, the passages became longer and more virtuosic. Mozart and Daniel Turk (1750 1813), notable composer, organist, scholar and peer of Quantz, both disagreed with this, believing that the new cadenzas were distracting from the work. ... • 4. West Memphis Three Case In 1993, three boys were murdered in West Memphis, Arkansas. Because of the condition the victims were in, the authorities believed that they were involved in a satanic ritual. Three teenagers were accused and convicted because they were outcasts and no other leads were pursued. Even though the West Memphis Three got justice after almost two decades of serving time, the original trial was prejudiced. The three teenagers were Jessie Misskelley, Jason Baldwin, and Damien Echols. They had records of criminal activity and violent behaviour. Furthermore, Misskelley and Echols had dropped out of school. Echols and Baldwin were close friends, but only acquainted with Misskelley. Before the jury made a decision about the guilt of the defendants, the jury foreman talked to both an attorney and the judge involved. A former attorney for the defendant Misskelley later noted that he heard the judge and foreman speaking during a lunch break, and the foreman stated that the jury was almost to a conclusion while Judge Burnett responded, You ll need food for when you come back for sentencing, (arkansasonline.com 1). The judge was implying that the defendants were guilty before the jury reached a verdict. It was known that the foreman was advocating that the defendants were liable for the scandal. Although there was a retrial, it was still unjust because of the circumstances of the deal. After many requests for retrial, the West Memphis Three received an Alford plea deal. The deal is where the accused plead guilty while still professing their actual innocence, in cases where they accept that prosecutors have sufficient information to acquire a conviction. The Alford plea contrived that the defendants served 18 years and 78 days, which was the time that they served, and could not seek domestic help for improper imprisonment. Even though the original convictions were repealed, the West Memphis Three still didn t receive justice for their ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Impact Of A Baby On Teenage Mothers Becoming a mother changes a woman s life forever, as you now have a child who depends on you for love and for a stable environment. Being a teenage mother is even more hard work, as a lot of the time the young girls have not even grown up themselves. Today I will be exploring the impact bringing a baby into the world has on a teenager s life. As part of this research, a survey was conducted in order to find out first hand the impact becoming a mother had on a group of teenage girls. FINANCIAL IMPACT Money is one of the biggest impacts on teenage pregnancy. The cost to prepare for a baby (cot, change table, pram, clothes, nappies etc.) and prenatal care as well as the other expenses involved in bringing up a child can pose vast financial hardships for teenage mothers. Often girls are forced to drop out of school in order to work so they can provide for their baby, but can find it difficult to find decent jobs since they did not complete their schooling. A high percentage of teen parents have to rely on welfare payments to support their families, but these payments are often barley enough to survive on (Home Remedies for you, 2017). Some teenage mothers even rely on their parents to help financially support them, which can make them feel guilty for having to rely on their parents. In worse case scenarios, some teenage mothers may find it difficult to even provide the proper nutrition and care for their babies (Kamalasanan, 2012). In the survey conducted, many girls ... The main arguments are ontological, teleological, and ontological. Something I learned was worldviews. I think it s important to know the worldviews, so you can see the other side of things. It allows you to have conversations and arguments with people with those worldviews and know what they are thinking, knowing the worldview makes it easier to talk to people about faith. The thing that was most intriguing was the arguments for a creat. The most challenging thing in this chapter was the ontological argument(). With the Western half controlled by the Bashar al Assad government and the Eastern half in controlled by anti government rebels bloodshed always lingers. For years, power has shifted between the two sides with many outside forces joining, tipping the power balances. With no end in sight, massive loss of life is becoming a universal issue. Inspired by the Arab Spring, revolution was on the horizon in Syria. Fed up with the government control, rebels have rallied against the government. In nearly five years of armed conflict the civil war in Syria has claimed nearly 470,000 lives: 400,000 through direct violence and an additional 70,000 as an indirect result of the war. A governmental regime which uses terrorists tactics is one that should be looked at as a threat. The president of Syria, Bashar Al Assad, has carried out a siege against his own civilians in Aleppo trapping them from the rest of the world. Depriving nearly 250,000 people of food, water, and supplies while bombing them on a daily basis is simply inhumane (UN News Centre). Specifically, these books describe the geopolitical turmoil of Latin America during the early twentieth century and the mid twentieth century; respectively, dealing with war, suffering and death. Like One Hundred Years of Solitude, Eva Luna uses magical realism in an oppressed Latin American environment as a means of social change. The book starts out as a myth beginning with its title and character name. Eva s name is symbolic itself. Eva, which means life and Luna, which is Spanish for moon is a symbol of the matriarchal power that women possess. The opening of the book places us in a world of magic to displace us from reality. The mission was a small oasis in the heart of an expanse of voluptuous vegetation writhing and twisting from the banks of the river to the feet of the monumental geologic towers that rose toward the firmament like one of God s mistakes (Allende p. 2). In addition to Eva s name being symbolic, her conception was brought about by magical realism. Eva was conceived as her Indian father lay dying from a venomous snake bite. Even so, Lemelle does a good job at providing enough detail on each topic, while still conveying how complex Pan Africanism is. Preventability measures are taken to prepare for disasters that are known risk for happening. Although not all disastrous events can be prevented initially, steps can be taken to reduce the impact and after effects when they do occur. For instance, with the Houston flood, numerous reservoirs were constructed to help control some overflow of some 67 billion gallons of water. Imminence coincides with predictability in most cases and also helps the planning of prevention and control when it can be implemented. Weather forecasters can be detrimental when it comes to predicting a flood as this can predict expected rainfall duration and amounts. The scope and number of casualties is usually tallied during and after a disastrous event as the baseline is always zero prior to the event happening. This specific criteria represents the number of people displaced, injured or killed per event happening. Intensity is typically measured before an event to help garner some sort of ability to prepare for an expected incoming crisis. Intensity can also be measured during a disaster to help foretell fatality rates and also overall damage incurrence. Application of Disaster Management Stages Prevention, preparation and planning, responsiveness, and recovery are all the stages of managing a disaster. Prevention is the first stage in disaster management. This stage occurs before a disaster takes place and identifies possible risks. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 20. The Fundamental Process of Turning Sugar in Energy One of the most fundamental processes of life is the ability to turn sugar into energy. Our cells have the ability to carry out this process both aerobically and anaerobically. Although anaerobic respiration does not produce the amount of energy that aerobic respiration does; it is still a very important process, because it allows cells to turn sugar into useable energy in the absence of oxygen. (Lab 15: Fermentation Experiments: Background) This is done though a process called fermentation. Fermentation consists of glycolysis plus reactions that regenerate NAD+ by transferring electrons from NADH to pyruvate. (Campbell and Reece 173 178) There are many different types but we happen to be interested in alcohol fermentation, which is carried out by bacteria and yeast. (Reiner) In alcohol fermentation sugar is broken down and turned into carbon dioxide and ethanol. Knowing this we can measure the amount of carbon dioxide produced and get an idea of how quickly the reaction is running. As a cheap, quick diner, the average consumer would not assume that Denny s has many gluten free options. However, by portraying this information through a humorous response, Denny s proves that it is a restaurant where trendy, health conscious people can eat. But beyond that, by responding to such an obscure question from a blogger and using a question about a girlfriend to advertise their gluten free options, Denny s subtly hints at how ridiculous they think the gluten free fad is. With millennials obsessed with the free from movement, such as food free from gluten, soy, and dairy, Denny s has to point out that while gf typically means girlfriend in short hand, it now means gluten free to trendy millennials (Carr, Stop the Free From Fad ). Through this post, Denny s demonstrates how ridiculous it is that gf refers to gluten free instead of girlfriend. Ultimately, this post allows Denny s to relate ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA 04) recommends age sixteen, but it often varies across states. Firstly, they should consider academic preparation and performance. Students with intellectual disabilities often lag behind in class activities and development of academic skills. Delays are evident in language skills, math, and reading comprehension (Friend, 2014, Pg. 240). Such challenges in math and reading often transfer to other courses such as science, which require these skills. Cognitive performance is also a necessary area upon which the IEP team should focus. Teachers and parents expect them to adapt to the general education or special education setting for students without intellectual disabilities. Students with intellectual disabilities require a different curriculum because they need to learn some survival skills before their transition into adulthood. Many lessons offered in the general curriculum are not important for such students with intellectual disabilities, especially because there are other important skills that they need to acquire such as life skills and behavior development (Friend, 2014, Pg. 259). Students with intellectual disabilities face the dilemma of high stakes testing. Some students with intellectual disabilities are expected to complete such tests although the tests are beyond their capabilities (Friend, 2014, Pg. 259). The expectations set by professionals are too high as students with intellectual disabilities are expected to learn from the same curriculum as those without disabilities. In some institutions, they are seen as the cause of school failure to attain federally mandated goals of sufficient yearly progress. Even though learning the core curriculum is essential for students with intellectual disabilities, there are several disadvantages of setting the standards too high. In this form of writing, the narrator is only observing the story and uses the main character s perspective to project the events. With only the perspective of the main character, Stew, there is a constraint with a limited knowledge point of view. The reader is only exposed to what Stew knows, observes, and on occasion, feels: How could she have done this to him? She knew how he dreaded exposure of any kind. She knew how ashamed he had been when, at sixteen, she announced that she was lesbian. (36 39). • 30. John Lubbock Naturalism John Lubbock, a British naturalist and politician, authored the quote, Your character is what you yourself choose to make it. I firmly believe that he is right in his writing of this quote. This quote s meaning can be taken taken in a literal sense, but there is a lot of context which must be considered. There also exists the very precise wording that the author chose in his wording of this quote. There exists a lot of bias in the author s writing of this quote, as he was a naturalist at the time of the nature versus nurture debate. I am on the author s side and am a firm supporter in the meaning of this quote. To examine the quote closely, people must first look at the concept that is naturalism. Naturalism is the concept which states that people are not just products of their environment but that people choose what characteristics of which they develop. In the quote the author takes the viewpoint that the environment may leave an imprint upon the character if a person, but it is the person who ultimately chooses who they want to be. Instead of being consumed by the hatred of his environment, he made the choice to develop perseverance and escaped this environment writing this biography. • 31. Character Analysis Of Mice And Men John Steinbeck sets the scene of his novella, Of Mice and Men, in the Salinas River Valley, a few miles south of Soledad. The time period of the novella is the 1930 s during the Great Depression. The Great Depression began in 1929 after the U.S. had a major financial crisis. People lost all of their money and their homes when the stock market crashed. Many men became migrant farm workers who would travel from farm to farm, working for just enough money for food and a few belongings. Curley s wife tries to talk to the boys but they don t trust her. She says, Why can t I talk to you? I never get to talk to nobody. I get awful lonely (Steinbeck 86). This quote shows that no one ever tries or wants to talk to her. Curley s wife complains to Lennie about how lonely she is and that she just wants to talk to people. As the book continues, she explains to Lennie why she never gets to talk to anyone. She says, You can talk to people, but I can t talk to nobody but Curley. Else he gets mad (Steinbeck 87). This quote shows that Curley is very controlling over his wife and only lets her talk to him. Curley s wife talks to Lennie even though he is very intimidating. She is desperate to talk to anyone so she flirts with Lennie and the other men to get their attention. Lastly, Steinbeck uses Crooks to show the things people are willing to do to not be lonely. Rosenberg and McCloskey, unlike Stempel, are very sympathetic of Iago. I think that when trying to understand the character Iago, first we need to recognize what Shakespeare s original intentions for the play were, and also the style of plays he tended to write, as they all have obvious similarities. Rather than writing about stock characters, which was common in the theater during Elizabethan times, Shakespeare wrote about people who seemed real. On the other hand Rosenberg argues against Stempel, claiming that Iago is an intelligent, cunning character who is like many characters so commonly used the psychological style of writing. McCloskey similar to Rosenberg thinks that Iago was a man who merely set out to seek justice, who had gotten so far that it was too late to remove himself from the situation. After researching and examining the papers of these critics it has become clear that Iago did not carry out evil for the sake of it, he had a motive. The Black Arts Movement The amazing era of the Black Arts Movement developed the concept of an influential and artistic blackness that created controversial but significant organizations such as the Black Panther Party. Because of its raw nature and physical violence, I think sports such as Mixed martial arts are a great example of how deviance and violence fall into sports. Wonders Of Marijuan The Federal Dilemma Essay Wonders of Marijuana: The Federal Dilemma In our society, especially in recent times, the topic of interest for many is the highly stigmatized drug marijuana. Marijuana is currently under national debate on whether it should be legalized on a federal level. A myriad of news and media outlets report that marijuana is legal in multiple states for numerous reasons, but the federal government still fails to legalize it as of now. To provide insight, marijuana also referred to as cannabis, is derived from the leaves and flowers of the hemp plant and can be used in many ways smoking, edibles (food or drink), vaporizing, tinctures, ingestible oils, topical lotions or balms, and dabbing (delivers a higher THC in the form of hash oil, wax, or shatter). In the 16th century an impressive figure of a king would mean that he demonstrated power both physically and economically and a good education. However as source two suggests, Henry might be considered less than impressive as he shows insecurities. A stronger argument though is that Henry did demonstrate the features of an impressive king as he had all the attributes listed above which is clear from all three sources. Source one implies that Henry is a very rich and powerful king as it shows us spending time practicing his archery with his guards. The king was practicing archery in the garden with the archers of the guard. It could be inferred from this that Henry has free recreational time as he is already in control of everything else. The argument that he is an impressive king gains weight from this because he has power over everyone, and that he gets people to do the jobs he would normally have to do. This can be inferred from source one as Henry spends his time in the garden practicing archery with the archers of the guards. This suggests that Henry has appointed other people to do the jobs he would have to do whilst he is in the garden practicing archery. It could also be inferred that he is wealthy because he would be paying these people to do jobs for him.
