Viaggio Italy Research Paper
Viaggio Italiano
The southern European country of Italy is relatively small and is located in Europe. Italia is in fact
smaller than the state of Texas but don t underestimate this little European country. In spite of the fact
that Italy is smaller than Texas, it has a larger population of people and this was established about a
couple years back. The CIA estimated the population of Italy in July 2015 to be 61,855,120, which put
it at number 24 in population among the 238 countries, dependencies and territories of the world. (
Italy 387 406). Tourists and recent statistics on inhabitants are obviously excluded from the population
census, but the number of citizens in this European country remains larger than The Lone Star State.

A million square feet of Italian delicacies. (Rail 1). Although it s popular for food, it s also popular for
being the romance language, possession of lovely scenery, presentation of famous artworks, historic
value, and the abundance of history within its life. All of this is already realized, but what isn t really
known is just how amazing it must be to witness the true foundation of Italia. Individuals would be
greeted by a feeling of freedom and relaxation and what a magnificent feeling it must come to
experience. Why is it such a wonderful sensation? The speaking in foreign tongues people hear is in
all likelihood the strangest, but most real encounter. It is a journey that will examine the history of
Italy, its complex politics and the whole spectrum of Italian culture ( Activities in Italy 1). The
buildings and architecture one can discern, the cobblestone streets, and the chatter in foreign tongues
is bound to be a great memory. Perhaps the most important thing to understand when visiting this
beautiful, small country, is the history. The most interesting thing one could learn about is certainly the
Renaissance, and just the long history of Italy and how it got its shape and recognition. Everyone who
has lived and who ll live, they ll learn about this foreign country because of the Renaissance. The
Renaissance was Italy s golden age, and they are now living in a Post Renaissance

A Primate s Talking Analysis
Look Who s Talking elucidates the way different animals coexist, work, and communicate in their
social environment. From ants, to bees, to wolves and cows, no matter the size of the animals, they all
have their methods when it comes to working together.
Many similarities can be drawn between Sapolski s A Primate s Memoir and the documentary Look
who s talking. From the size of a community to the way the animals communicate, baboons
distinguish themselves from other social species. The wolf lives in a small pack to assure its survival;
the bee lives in a hive with thousands of other workers; the ant lives in a very large colony; the baboon
lives in a troop. At the top of a baboon troop s hierarchy is an alpha male. He assures his reign through

Black Bear Tribe
The Black Bear was a bear tribe that lived in the northwest of the United States. They were around
Niagara Falls and the Adirondack Mountains. The Iroquois bear tribe was not just one tribe, but there
was five. There was the Mohawk tribe, Oneida tribe, Onondaga tribe, Cayuga tribe, and Seneca tribe.
The bear tribes were not together, they were against each other. The bear tribes hated each other, they
were fight over this special spot right in the middle New York. This part of New York had the fall so
the bear tribes could catch the biggest fish and it also had to sharpest trees so the bear could scratch
there furry backs, but that was not the only thing, they also wanted dominance over each other. The
reason the Black Bear Iroquois tribes really wanted this spot, it was the best way to communicate.
When bears rub against the trees they are not just scratching, they are also communicating. The
Iroquois tribe was tired of fighting and killing each other. So, they decide to come together as one.
This is when the tribe turned into the Iroquois Confederacy. The Black Bear was a huge tribe, so they
started making house called longhouse. The longhouse was to fit 20 bears in it. The longhouse was
about 300 feet. It was divided into three rooms and it was made out of wood and elk bark. It had a

called The Tuscarora. After they joined the League of Nations became The Six Nations. The Tuscarora
bears brought a new kind of culture to the Six Nations and the Six Nations changed some of their
ways. They started voting for their chief and under their chiefs were 50 high ranked bears that were

How Idioms That Is Why
Gbemiro likes idioms that is why he wrote this story. He picked one of the idioms and made up his
own character, and then he came up with the story.
My friend April got everything right on his test in class, so then he said, Hit the nail on the head! In
my mind, I was trying to figure out what that meant.
When I got home, I packed a hammer and a nail in my backpack.
The next day at school, I was waiting for the bell to ring. I got into the school as soon the bell rang,
and I got out my hammer and nail from my backpack. When I saw my friend walking, I told him to
stay still, and I pointed the nail at his head and took out my hammer. But one of my friend s friends

Elder told me a place to find out my spirit animal. I must venture forth to the old oak tree. It will
answer all of my deepest thoughts.
Once I arrived there, I asked the old oak, Dear Oak Tree, what is my spirit animal?
Your spirit animal is something you ll find on your own, it said. It handed me a map.
With happiness overflowing my body, I asked my friends to come, and they did.
We arrived at the Fruits of Knowledge. There stood a monk. He said to pick the right fruit, and we
shall proceed. The right fruit tasted like gooseberries. David and I both decided on the dragon fruit,
but Olivia chose the banana. The monk let her go, because Olivia wouldn t be able to meditate.
We moved on to The Mountain of Friendship. There stood a ninja. The mountain was covered with
ice. The ninja said to climb the bridge, and we would be able to proceed, but if we didn t, then we had
to work for him. David flew us to the top, and we slid to the bottom.
We arrived at The Bridges of Pain. There stood a man in a black cloak. He said we must cross the right
bridge, or we would face our greatest fears. David and Olivia both went on the first bridge. Then the
bridge disappeared. So I decided to go on the second bridge. And that bridge was unstable, and I fell.
But David caught me in time.
David s spirit animal helped fly us to see the goldfish. Once we arrived there, I asked the goldfish,

Venus s Greenhouse Effect
Despite being so similar in size to Earth, Venus is a very unique and interesting planet. Venus has a
very thick atmosphere and severe greenhouse effect, making it stand out in our solar system. Add info
from middle paragraphs. Before going into detail, let s look at some basic statistics and facts of Venus.
The second planet from the sun has an average distance of 0.72 AU. It has a similar size to Earth with
a radius of 6051 kilometers and a mass 82% that of Earth s. It is composed of rocks and metals and
has an average density of 5.24 g/cm3. Unlike most other planets, Venus has zero moons. Mainly due
to its very severe greenhouse effect, Venus has a searing average surface temperature of 740 K or
466.85 C. Venus rotates exceedingly slow, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Its size made it retain a lot of heat, causing large volcanism. This caused a sizable amount of
outgassing, shooting a heavy amount of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, resulting in Venus s huge
greenhouse effect. Venus has an atmosphere consisting almost completely of CO2 and almost no
oxygen, making it impossible to breathe. The dense atmosphere of Venus reflects almost all blue light
away, making the sky look reddish orange. Slow rotation of Venus generates a weak Coriolis Effect,
creating small amounts of wind and no hurricane like storms. In fact, the highest wind speed ever
recorded on the planet is a light 6 kilometers per hour. Rainfall never occurs on Venus because any
droplets that were to form evaporate before hitting the ground. Circulation on the planet is so efficient
that the surface temperature is nearly the same over the entire planet. There are no seasons because of
the minimum axis tilt. The planet s very strong convection sends hot air upward making the
troposphere an astounding 400 degrees hotter than the surface. Sometimes, sulfuric acid forms acid
rain that falls through the troposphere but evaporates at least 30 kilometers before reaching the

Minoan Culture Research Paper
The origin of the Mycenaean culture has perplexed many archaeologists for more than a century. All
the information gathered today from archaeologists are merely an approximation. The farther back
archaeologists investigate the harder it is to decipher and validate the history of the Greek experience.
However, the evidence from the Mycenaean period is crucial to the discovery and unveiling of the
development of the Greek culture. Roughly, around 3000 BC on the island of Crete began the Bronze
Age, where Sir Arthur Evans is accredited for the founding of the first civilization. Most commonly
known as the Minoan civilization, dubbed after king Minos, was an empire in the Mediterranean.
However, unlike the Mycenaeans the Minoans were not Greek. In other words, the Minoan inhabitants
were not native to the Greek language, thus deducing that the first early greek settlers were the
Mycenaeans. The Mycenaeans were heavily influenced by the Indo Europeans shaping them into the

Greek society, culture and overall their foundation is accredited to the Indo European lifestyle. Unlike
the Minoans who inhabited the island of Crete, the Mycenaeans were native speakers to the Greek
language. Sir Arthur Evans, an early archaeologist, excavated and analyzed two types of tablets that
were different in script. The first tablet, Linear A, contained script that even today archaeologists are
still unable to decode. Therefore, archaeologists believe that Linear A was script belonging to the early
Minoan civilization (Martin 32). Whereas, Linear B, dated much later and included script that was
much simpler to decipher. After much analysis Linear B`s script contains forms of early Greek
validating that Mycenaeans were the first early settlers of Greece. Therefore, Mycenaeans are Indo
European people sharing one common language and

Reasons For Russia s Involvement In World War I
Russia s Involvement in World War I
In the year of 1914 the Russian government is starting to see Germany as the main threat to its nation.
The reason behind this was because of Germany s decision to form an alliance with Austria Hungary
and Italy; this became to be known as the Triple Alliance. This new Alliance meant that if any of the
allied countries were to be invaded by Russia or France they would support each other in battle when
in need. However the initial spark of Russia s involvement in World War I began with honoring its
treaty with Serbia. On June 28th 1914 Franz Ferdinand the heir to the Austro Hungarian throne visited

At the University of Michigan, Noonan attended a luncheon talk by Curtis Hayes, a worker for the
Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC), which was a student run civil rights
organization (Noonan 484). Meeting Hayes, who was almost the same age as her, inspired Noonan to
join the Movement (Noonan 484). Soon after, Tom Hayden, who had just returned from a Freedom
Ride in Georgia, spoke with Noonan about his experiences and further inspired, as well as encouraged,
Noonan to work with the Movement (Noonan 484). In 1962, Noonan attended a joint SNCC and
Students for a Democratic Society (which she was a member of at the time) conference, where she
spoke with various SNCC workers (Noonan 484). These conversations convinced Noonan of the logic
and practicality of their organization s vision, and the members welcoming spirit convinced Noonan to
join SNCC s work with the Southern Freedom Movement (Noonan 485). After her freshman year at
the University of Michigan, Noonan told her parents she wanted to drop out of school to work in
Mississippi as a full time civil rights organizer (Noonan 485). Her parents strongly feared for her
safety and, since she was still underage, her parents insisted she take summer classes in Detroit and
find a civil rights activity closer to home (Noonan 485). That summer, Noonan took classes taught by
local radicals, Seymour Faber and George Rawick, who

close some inefficient stores to curtail expense and store energy (Ranasinghe, 2012); on the other
hand, Li Ning would enter the second tier cities to achieve next phase of growth (Anon, 2012).
To sum up, in internal aspect, Li Ning chooses both entity sales and e commerce sales at home and
abroad. Different focuses are determined due to large name reputation difference. To achieve more
popularity, Li Ning focuses on Olympic Games and sports super stars with different slogans.
Furthermore, in external aspect, facing the customers different consumption views on Chinese brands
domestically and internationally, Li Ning transforms its attention to younger people and set new
different target groups both domestic and foreign. Li Ning has been facing increased competition with
global names and local rivals, and what is why Li Ning determines to slow the pace of new openings

Research Paper On Elizabeth Barrett Browning
The Lovesick Poet: Elizabeth Browning
In 1806 at Coxhoe Hall in Durham, England, a new poet of the Romantic movement was born.
Elizabeth Barrett Browning was born to an over controlling father, Edward Moulton Barrett, and a late
mother, Mary Moulton Barrett. Elizabeth s parents provided her and her ten younger siblings with
very sophisticated lives. Their estate, Hope End, was described by a local newspaper as adapted for
the accommodation of a nobleman or family of the first distinction (Elizabeth Barrett Browning). The
house was a five hundred acre estate founded on the wealth accumulated from the family s sugar
plantations in Jamaica. This wealth, however was not to last.

Despite her father s rigidness, he was very supportive of Elizabeth s poetry. She published The
Seraphim and Other Poems in 1838, which was the first volume of mature poetry to appear under her
own name . Later, her health took a bad turn and her physician convinced Elizabeth to move to a
warmer climate. With her favorite brother, Edward, she left to live in Torquay. Edward drowned in a
river later that year, and the grief caused Elizabeth to return to England. Elizabeth spent the next five
years lamented over her brother s death and became an invalid and a recluse. In the sixth year after
Edward s death, she published her 1844 Poems. This publication made her one of the most popular
poets in the area and inspired Robert Browning, to write to her. Even though he was six years her
junior, they began a famous courtship and eloped to Italy in 1846. After the marriage, Elizabeth s
father disinherited her because he did not approve, which he had done to his other children. Elizabeth
had money of her own and lived a comfortable life in Italy with her husband, and later, her son, Robert
Wiedeman Barrett Browning. Despite Browning lengthening her life by taking her south and by his
solicitous attention, she died in his arms on June 29, 1861 (Isaacs and

Supernatural Elements In William Faulkner s The Sound And...
Southern Gothic is defined as a genre of southern writing specific to American literature exclusive to
the American South. Stories in this genre of southern writing focus on grotesques themes and include
supernatural elements that are mainly focused on damage, the harsh conflicts of violence, racism, and
delusional characters. William Faulkner, in his book The Sound and the Furry , displays all of these
elements. It is seen by every character in the book and the scenes they play in the story, which is a
specific role in creating the Southern Gothic vibe. The story is told by the Compson children, which
are Benjy, Quentin, and Jason. Each of the children has their own section in the book in which they
describe their characteristics and let the readers know how the Civil War in the South lead for their
family to be dysfunctional in different ways. Faulkner s work is the embodiment of Southern Gothic
Style because in his writing a common theme is disintegration as well as a very serious obsession with
the Civil War as seen throughout his book with all the characters being deeply flawed in their own
ways. In the story, the grotesque atmosphere and social issues worsen as each of the characters tell
their story. All of the sections of the book come together to display the symbol of Southern Gothic.
In his novel, Faulkner tells the story of the disintegration of the Compson which is a Southern family.
The Sound and the Furry demonstrates an incredible innovative narrative style of the gothic theme of
disintegration. The first section of the book is told from the perspective of Benji who in the book is
described as disabled and is the youngest of the Compsons. The section of Benjy was told in a
childlike, disconnected and twisted manner. For Benjy order is very important for him since he gets
very upset when he sees anything that is not usual. An example of this is shown when Benjy becomes
inconsolable when his daily routine is modified. When Jason takes Benjy back to his regular routine
his mood changes and he is more relaxed. This shows how he is not used to his new life after the south
is redefining and that his parents and Cady have not been there liked they used to help him go through
this change. The

The Epidemic Of Hiv And Hiv
The first cases of AIDS that were reported in the United States began in the early 1980s. Today, more
than 1.1 million people are living with HIV. In response to this HIV epidemic, at least 35 states have
implemented HIV specific criminal laws that penalize HIV positive people for exposing others to the
virus. These laws impose criminal penalties to HIV positive people that knowingly and potentially
expose others to the virus. The Ryan White Comprehensive AIDS Resources Emergency Act, also
known as the CARE Act, provides states with funds for AIDS treatment and care. In 1990, the CARE
Act required every state to certify that its criminal laws were adequate to prosecute any HIV infected
individual who knowingly exposed another person to HIV. Criminal laws regarding potential HIV
exposure vary largely from state to state. Some federal legislation addresses the criminal penalties for
intentional exposure such as through blood donation. CDC and Department of Justice researches
found that, by 2011, a total of 67 laws explicitly focused on persons living with HIV had been enacted
in 33 states... In 24 states, laws require persons who are aware that they have HIV disclose their status
to sexual partners and 14 states require disclosure to needle sharing partners. The criminal laws vary
as to what behaviors are criminalized or result in additional penalties. The criminal statutes regarding

Prosthetic Hip Dislocation And Its Effects
Prosthetic Hip Dislocation
A prosthetic hip dislocation means that your artificial hip joint (prosthesis) has moved out of place.
This can happen because of a hard, direct hit or injury (trauma) to the hip, such as a fall. A prosthetic
hip joint may be more likely to dislocate than a normal hip joint because a prosthetic hip joint does not
have all the structures that normally hold the joint in place.
After the prosthetic hip is moved back into place, you will generally recover fully. Prosthetic hip
dislocation is a medical emergency that requires immediate treatment.
CAUSES
This condition is often caused by trauma to the hip. Trauma may be caused by:
Falls, especially falls from a height.
Motor vehicle accidents.
Contact sports.
Industrial accidents.
RISK FACTORS
This condition is more likely to develop in:
People over 60 years of age.
People with bone loss (osteoporosis).
People who lack vitamin D.
People who are overweight or obese.
People who lack hip strength and flexibility.
People with poor vision.
SYMPTOMS
Symptoms of this condition include:
Severe pain in the hip area. Pain may get worse when you move or try to put weight on the hip.
Inability to move the hip.
The leg on the side of the dislocated hip appearing shorter than the other leg.
The foot on the side of the dislocated hip turning inward.
Loss of feeling in your lower leg, foot, or ankle.

My Favorite Leisure Experiences In My Life
Throughout my life my leisure activities have changed many times. From playing video games; to
sports and hanging out with friends. Out of my many favorite leisure experiences my most favorite
would be hanging out with friends. Being with other people and having fun is one of the best feelings
to me because it takes off all the stress of my life difficulties. It is very important to reflect on one s
past and present leisure experiences because they reminds of the best and most fun memorable
moments in our lives. We live in a very stressful society where we hardly have any fun time due to
work, school, or just our very busy lives. During stressful times or difficult times reflecting on those
memorable moments has a very positive impact on us. As I have grown older I have definitely
experienced many of the levels of Nash s Paradigm of Free Time.
When I was in middle school I participated in activities that would be classified as acts performed
against society on Nash s Paradigm. At the time I was about 14 years old and did not think thoroughly
about my actions. I used to participate in shoplifting and vandalism as my leisure activities. Me and
my friends would hang out after school and tag the walls around our school and would go into stores
to steal snacks or drinks. At the time I did not realise how irresponsible and idiotic my actions were.
At first when I began to tag it had a bad psychological effect on me because I would be paranoid I was
going to get caught by the cops or someone of authority. The more I did it the less paranoid I felt but
never felt completely safe and always had a negative psychological effect. Tagging the walls was a
way to express how I felt at the time. I felt I had to represent my crew which i was involved with.
Participating in these activities did have a physical effect because most of the time I did a lot of
running. Whenever someone would catch us we had to run away as fast as we could and it would get
us tired. It did make me feel good the running had a good effect on my body as it slimed me down a
bit. This was a very social activity. Sometimes we would walk around in groups of 10 15 guys just
messing around and having fun. I did build a lot of friendships at the time by

Modern Family does not let the audience perceive only one trait for the characters Cam and Mitchel.
In a blog by Murray Lipp, she writes the stereotype that Gay men are not relationship oriented , this is
an unrealistic assumption that gay men do not keep committed relationships but in the show the
relationship between Mitch and Cam are in a stable relationship that are supportive of each other(Lipp

A Moment Of Disturbing Clarity
A Moment of Disturbing Clarity If I had a dollar for every time I heard God referred to as he or him,
my college tuition might be paid for. I m guilty of this myself, in moments, though more conscious of
it now. No argument can be made against it, the church is traditionally patriarchal, and dangerously so.
In fact, Rosemary Radford Ruether claims in her book Sexism and God Talk, Male monotheism has
been so taken for granted in Judeo Christian culture that the peculiarity of imaging God solely through
one gender has not been recognized (53). We can easily address where some of these issues that arise
from this might lie the lack of inclusion in practice, specifically in the Catholic Church with their
opposition to the ordination of women modeled after this God, the lack of a sense of afterlife that is
attainable by women, and a lack of accessibility to other figures and symbols in the church. More than
that, we can point to the issues of their being directly related to sin, as well as the shunning and lack of
acknowledgement that spills into shaming of their bodies. Often, however, we ignore the results of
these issues. As a direct result of the damage done by patriarchal traditions and patriarchal views of
God, women are ill equipped to deal with difficult aspects of their lives. In order to adequately address
issues of sadness, suffering, trauma, and other theodical roots, everyone, and women in particular,
must be shown a reimagined view of God. Ruether claims,

Essay on Working Class
This article entitled The Honest Workingman and Workers Control: The Experience of Toronto Skilled
Workers, 1860 1892 written by Gregory S. Kealey looks to better describe the practice of three
Toronto unions from the 1860 s to the early 1890 s and their struggles for their rights and deserved
wages in order to illustrate the strength these types of unions possess. This article recognizes that there
are industries where unions win, and still must rely on skilled labour. Many times people hear the term
industrialization and think that all craft workers get blown away, however this is not exactly the case
as this article demonstrates. Kealey looks at three separate cases in three separate industries to identify
the significant variations ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Labour unions played a great role in the battle between the capitalist world and the labourers who
wanted their rights to stay intact. In the Toronto moulding department, the union s claim to control
was the central issue being discussed. Many attempts at strikes were mentioned resulting in major
struggles for the working class. Eventually, there industry wide agreements in stove foundries, but
until this the strength of the moulders depended solely on their skill and control of the work process
through their union. The Iron Moulders differed from the Coopers in that they maintained a high level
of workplace control into the twentieth century. This was mainly due to the strength of their
organization, but also relied on the slower introduction of machinery to replace physical workers in
this industry, and therefore the workers had time to perfect their craft before the machines arrived.
(Kealey, 1976) The third, and probably most supportive case given by Kealey is that of the Toronto
printer s industry and union, with their control of the shop floor demonstrating early union power.
These printers had a very strong tradition of craft pride and identified well with their work. It was
obvious that you had to be literate to be involved in printing, and therefore these printing trades were
very exclusive, and to belong you needed to show a great deal of intelligence and knowledge. Because
of this, printers in these

Comparing Magic In The Eye Of The World And The Magician
Magic or unexplained science, some would say, is the human brain s way of understanding what
appears impossible. Magic is also a way one can feel special because magic allows things to appear
out of thin air or happen instantly and everyone wishes this were true. Everyone person who has an
encounter with magic, deals with magic in different ways, yet there can be similarities. Similarities
can be seen in the novels, The Magicians by Lev Grossman, The Eye of the World by Robert Jordan,
and The Magician by Raymond E. Feist. Each novel has a main character who becomes deeply
involved with magic, but with different end games. When dealing with magic, one must learn the
significance of it which in turn helps the wielder of magic or reader feel as if the impossible has
become possible.
Within the novel, The Magician Pug doesn t understand the significance of magic and this cause him
to struggle while learning his craft. While Pug is talking with Father Tully he says, Each time I try one

The dear Princess Carline learned the true value of magic when Pug used it to save her life. She

when he came back to her in one piece, Pug could tell the Princess knew she was in the wrong. The
Princess, before Pug used magic to kill the trolls, disregarded magic, even hated it some might say, but
through Pug using it to save her life instead of kill her with it, allowed the Princess to see why magic
was so valued in her kingdom. Pug learned to value magic in a different way, in a different world to be
more precise and the way he valued magic is different than

The Religious Impacts Of The First Great Awakening And The...
Both The First Great Awakening and The Enlightenment generated an instant trend in the revival of
religious influences. Started by Jonathan Edwards and George Whitefield, the Great Awakening was
most commonly understood to have its greatest religious impact between the 1730s and 1740s.
American colonists had begun to become more devoted to various religions, which resulted in the
toleration of many of them. Another cause of this revival dated back to the late seventeenth and early
eighteenth centuries when a German movement, called Pietism, emphasized closely distinct personal
connections with God (Gullotta, 2016). This movement spread as a result British, German, Scottish,
Scotch Irish immigration that then influenced British and Dutch religion (Gullotta, 2016). As a
consequence, American colonists had begun to become more devoted to various religions, which
resulted in the toleration of many of them.
One of the effects of The Great Awakening on the British North American colonists was the religious
rule. The ties between culture and politics through religious movements changed the norms of the
colonists. Other than immigrants from town to town the visitation of preachers caused an emergence
of opposition about the truth of the church and creation of new sects and Protestant denominations. A
few of the preachers who led these preaching tours included George Whitefield, Theodore Jacob
Frelinghugusen, James Davenport, Samuel Davis, and Gilbert Tennent (Gullotta, 2016).

Essay On Navy Commencement Speech
The time has finally come: Commencement Day. This is the time in one s life where an individual has
overcome all the hardships throughout their training, persevered through extensive pain, and sleepless
days to finally earn the privilege to be called a Navy Seal. This is a moment in one s life where an
individual may also embark on a new journey after their commencement. Some of these individuals
may continue their path in the military, school, or their family. On the other hand, some people are left
stranded and feel helpless when it comes to deciding what to do next. In the 2014 Commencement
Speech, Navy Seal Commander William H. reminds every Navy Seal that they must strive for one
goal in life after their commencement : to change the world into a better place. William H. believes
that , regardless of ethnicity, gender, and background, anyone has the ability to change the world only
if individuals overcome all hardships and obstacles, complete every task to full potential, and never
give up, which may ultimately allow the next generations to live a better world. He supports these
assertions by using illustrations, analogies, cause and effects, and quotes to encourage and inspire the
audience to change the world. Navy Seal Commander William H. begins his commencement speech
by addressing and congratulating the graduating class of 2014. Although this is a typical method of the
introductory part of the speech, it shows appreciation for all the navy seals that overcame

Similarities And Differences Between Yanomamo And Samoan...
Different cultures have different ways of experiencing aspects of their culture. There are many
similarities and differences between the Yanomamo and Samoan peoples. Cultural differences and
similarities need to be paid attention to. Also, the similarities need to be celebrated. The Samoans and
Yanomamo have different and similar subsistence methods, division of labor, occupational
specialization, exchange of goods, and the economic link to power. The differences and similarities
between the Yanomamo and Samoan peoples are striking and deserve thorough examination.
The first aspect of Samoan and Yanomamo life that is different is subsistence methods. The
Yanomamo have different forms of subsistence than the Samoans. The Samoans mainly rely on
agriculture. According to Peters=Golden, clearing the land for planting is hard work. (Peters Golden
225) The Samoans use cutting tools like axes and knives get rid of trees and bushes and other foliage.
The Samoans also use small fires to eliminate everything else. Peters Golden writes that digging sticks
are then employed to dislodge rocks and loosen the soil for planting. (Peters Golden 225) Similarly to
the Samoans, the Yanomamo also rely on agriculture. However, they also utilize foraging, unlike the
Samoans. The Yanomamo also hunt, and, similarly to the Samoans, they fish. (Peters Golden 226,
271) Despite that, Peters Golden says that the bulk of Yanomamo food (more than 80 percent) is
grown in their village gardens.

An epic hero is a person that accomplishes a goal that no one else has accomplished or something that
gives back to the community. Beowulf is considered an epic hero because he is strong, brave, proud
and boastful.
Grendel is a monster that terrorized the mead hall by killing and eating people. Hrothogar, which is
the king of Danes, recounts a feud during which Beowulf s father kills Higlaf, a member of the
Wulfing tribe. Hrothgar sends treasure to the Wulfings to mend the feud, and Beowulf s father pledges
his allegiance to Hrothgar. Hrothgar then accepts Beowulf s offer to fight Grendel. He warns Beowulf
that many others suffered and did not succeed in fighting Grendel. But Beowulf takes the challenge
anyways. Beowulf fights Grendel with his bare hands, His claws in his fist till they crackled, clutched

The Golden State
California, nicknamed the Golden State, has attracted many an immigrant through the years. From the
migrations of peoples thousands of years ago that led to the establishment of the many Native
American tribes that populated the land, to the Spanish and Americans in later centuries, one wonders
what attracted all to the farthest frontier, the unsettled west coast. That is until you delve deeper into
what the land had to offer as an economic source. The year 1769 saw Gaspar de Portola and Father
Saint Junípero Serra leading the first permanent European settlers to California. Before the end of the
century, missions were established along the coast and towns were established, especially Los Angeles
in 1781. The establishment of missions and towns began economic growth based on agricultural
production and Native American labor that would soon lead to cities, ranches and local owners under
Mexican occupation taking the same advantage to produce locally until the United States brought a
wave of new settlement and industrial ideas that would sweep local trade and production into a new
era of transcontinental economic growth, transportation and financial gains.
In 1542, Juan Cabrillo made his way up what the coast of what the Spanish called Alta California from
the newly conquered Spanish province of Mexico in search of gold, but he only found Native
Americans living on land that consisted of thousands of square miles of fertile valleys, high

Comparing Julius Caesar And Yitzhak Rabin
Jayd Paik Comparing VT1700633
Julius Caesar and Yitzhak Rabin
History, it either repeats itself or we learn and grow from the mistakes of others. In history we had not
so great men and we had more than great men, the way they thought, their actions, and their war
tactics shaped the modern day leaders. The peace maker, and the king among kings share a lot of
things in history like war and peace, home life, and love lives. In this essay I will be talking about
Julius Caesar and Yitzhak Rabin lives in history and comparing these two great leaders in history.
It is hard to say when Julius Caesar was born, but it is estimated that he was born July 12 or 13, 100
BC. His family are far from rich, He is the son of Gaius Caesar and Aurelia Caesar, however his father
died when he was 16 so he stayed very close to his mother. Caesar married a nobleman s daughter
name Cornelia, they both had a daughter, Julia Caesaris, but sadly Cornelia died in 69 BC. Two years
later he marries the granddaughter of the dictator Sulla, Pompeia, they were married for five years
before they were divorce. He married for the final time to a young lady, Calpurnia, whom will stay
with him till the end, even though he had numerous mistresses including Cleopatra VII, whom she had
a baster son name Caesarion. Raging with anger, the dictator Sulla demanded that Caesar either
divorced or loss all his land, he instead joined the military. Before Sulla died, Caesar and a couple of
his closest friends convince him to let Caesar back into Rome. Caesar rose to power, others got jealous
and even one of the leaders were not fully over his enemy, however Caesar, Marcus Licinius Crassus,
and Pompey became known as the First Triumvirate. Once again Caesar shows his abilities as
someone who can negotiate and unit people together. Soon after however Pompey grew more and
more jealous of his partner, while Crassus never got over his disdain for Pompey. All three patch
things up for a little while in 56 BC in Luca, Caesar already ruled a territorial and extended for
another five years, gave Crassus a five year term in Syria and gave Spain to Pompey for Five years as
well. Three years later Crassus was killed in a terrible battle in Syria, at the same

Pew Charitable Trust Report
According to a Pew Charitable Trust report, more than half of Americans have less than one month of
income saved in case of emergency. This is in direct contradiction to the advice given by most
financial experts to have at least three to six months living expenses on hand for unexpected
situations, such as a job loss. It is interesting to note that all levels of income had the same lack of
savings; therefore, it is not necessarily a problem with the amount of income, but instead with an
inability to save. So, in order to get the nation where it should be in terms of savings, there should be a
great emphasis on educating the average American on how to go about creating a savings. Make an
Effort: There is an old adage that says that if someone

mercilessly. Down to the water, making title waves were ever it struck. In the middle of everything

But he was more than that wasn t he? ************* That wasn t confusing at all.... It made perfect

easy part. The school was as Anna called it a major train wreck. We had to pass through the senior

because I don t have any jeans or pants. The only pants that I do have are made to fit me when I am
not wearing the prosthetic leg. I m used to it, but it s still uncomfortable... Anna opened the door and
let me in, flicking on the lights. My jaw dropped; there was loads of stuff in there. Well, tomorrow is

and all we have to do it set up tomorrow! We? That woke me up from whatever trance I was in. You re
at least going to help right? She looks at me with an eyebrow raised. I though I already helped... Nope.

Questions On Exhaust Gas Recirculation System Essay
CHAPTER 3
EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION SYSTEM
3.1 FABRICATION PROCESS OF BIMETALLIC PISTON
Figure 3.1 Bimetallic Piston
3.2 CATALYST
The rate of chemical reaction increases with the presence of a substance called as catalyst.
3.3 TYPICAL MECHANISM
In catalyst regenerating process, it generally reacts with one or more than one reactants to form
intermediate product which then gives the final reaction product.
X + C → XC (1)
Y + XC → XYC (2)
XYC → CZ (3)
CZ → C + Z (4) This represents a typical reaction scheme, where C Catalyst X and Y Reactants Z
Product of the reaction of X and Y
In reaction 1 the catalyst is consumed even though in reaction 4 it is subsequently produced, so it does
not occur in the overall reaction equation:
X + Y → Z
3.4 MATERIALS
As catalysis the chemical nature of catalysts is also diverse. For the many reactions involving water,
including hydrolysis and its reverse, the most widely used catalysts is proton acids. Multifunctional
solids often are catalytically active.
e.g. alumina, zeolites, graphitic carbon, nanoparticles, nanodots, higher order oxides, and facets of
bulk materials.
To catalyze redoxreactions like oxidation and hydrogenation, transition metals are often used. For
example nickel such as Raney nickel for hydrogenation, and vanadium (V) oxide for oxidation of
sulfur dioxide into sulfur trioxide by the so called contact process. Palladium, platinum, gold,
ruthenium, rhodium, or iridium is

Becoming A Good Baseball Player
Establishing teamwork on and off the field is a skill that of which I excel at. This past year we had
teammates of all ages. We had 4 seniors, two of which did not get to play very often and sat the bench;
I tried to keep them upbeat and positive even though they didn t get much playing time.
There were were four of us Juniors. We were not only playing on the Varsity team; we played JV to
help out the younger less athletic players.
We had three Sophomores and two Freshman that came up in the ranks to play Varsity; they didn t
need encouragement on the field; but they needed to learn how we encourage even the less talented
players and not boast and brag about how much better we were than them.
One of the teammates I think I ve learned the most from is our player who is autistic. He started
playing his Sophomore year. We have seen him come from not being able to hold a bat or a glove to
actually catching balls and hitting them and making it on base to eventually scoring. This is where
working as a team brought us together to make the player with the least ability enjoy and actually
playing the game; even though at times it hurt our score; it made another individual feel good about
himself. When he ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

younger man of her craving with money, expensive wear, and special attentions. These men in return

Sophia is a conservative girl from the country; she in not used to the liberal life of London. In contrast,
Lady Bellaston has no limits when it comes to libertinism. For instance, in one part of the novel, she

During the erotic play, Sophia leaves the room as she tells Bellaston who follows her up the stair how

It s obvious that both women want Tom Jones, however their purpose with him is very different. To

  • 2. Viaggio Italy Research Paper Viaggio Italiano The southern European country of Italy is relatively small and is located in Europe. Italia is in fact smaller than the state of Texas but don t underestimate this little European country. In spite of the fact that Italy is smaller than Texas, it has a larger population of people and this was established about a couple years back. The CIA estimated the population of Italy in July 2015 to be 61,855,120, which put it at number 24 in population among the 238 countries, dependencies and territories of the world. ( Italy 387 406). Although it s popular for food, it s also popular for being the romance language, possession of lovely scenery, presentation of famous artworks, historic value, and the abundance of history within its life. All of this is already realized, but what isn t really known is just how amazing it must be to witness the true foundation of Italia. Individuals would be greeted by a feeling of freedom and relaxation and what a magnificent feeling it must come to experience. Why is it such a wonderful sensation? The speaking in foreign tongues people hear is in all likelihood the strangest, but most real encounter. It is a journey that will examine the history of Italy, its complex politics and the whole spectrum of Italian culture ( Activities in Italy 1). The buildings and architecture one can discern, the cobblestone streets, and the chatter in foreign tongues is bound to be a great memory. Perhaps the most important thing to understand when visiting this beautiful, small country, is the history. The most interesting thing one could learn about is certainly the Renaissance, and just the long history of Italy and how it got its shape and recognition. Everyone who has lived and who ll live, they ll learn about this foreign country because of the Renaissance. The Renaissance was Italy s golden age, and they are now living in a Post Renaissance ... From ants, to bees, to wolves and cows, no matter the size of the animals, they all have their methods when it comes to working together. Many similarities can be drawn between Sapolski s A Primate s Memoir and the documentary Look who s talking. From the size of a community to the way the animals communicate, baboons distinguish themselves from other social species. The wolf lives in a small pack to assure its survival; the bee lives in a hive with thousands of other workers; the ant lives in a very large colony; the baboon lives in a troop. My friend April got everything right on his test in class, so then he said, Hit the nail on the head! In my mind, I was trying to figure out what that meant. When I got home, I packed a hammer and a nail in my backpack. The next day at school, I was waiting for the bell to ring. I got into the school as soon the bell rang, and I got out my hammer and nail from my backpack. It handed me a map. With happiness overflowing my body, I asked my friends to come, and they did. We arrived at the Fruits of Knowledge. There stood a monk. He said to pick the right fruit, and we shall proceed. The right fruit tasted like gooseberries. David and I both decided on the dragon fruit, but Olivia chose the banana. The monk let her go, because Olivia wouldn t be able to meditate. We moved on to The Mountain of Friendship. There stood a ninja. The mountain was covered with ice. The ninja said to climb the bridge, and we would be able to proceed, but if we didn t, then we had to work for him. David flew us to the top, and we slid to the bottom. We arrived at The Bridges of Pain. There stood a man in a black cloak. He said we must cross the right bridge, or we would face our greatest fears. David and Olivia both went on the first bridge. Then the bridge disappeared. So I decided to go on the second bridge. And that bridge was unstable, and I fell. But David caught me in time. David s spirit animal helped fly us to see the goldfish. All the information gathered today from archaeologists are merely an approximation. The farther back archaeologists investigate the harder it is to decipher and validate the history of the Greek experience. However, the evidence from the Mycenaean period is crucial to the discovery and unveiling of the development of the Greek culture. Roughly, around 3000 BC on the island of Crete began the Bronze Age, where Sir Arthur Evans is accredited for the founding of the first civilization. Most commonly known as the Minoan civilization, dubbed after king Minos, was an empire in the Mediterranean. However, unlike the Mycenaeans the Minoans were not Greek. Unlike the Minoans who inhabited the island of Crete, the Mycenaeans were native speakers to the Greek language. Sir Arthur Evans, an early archaeologist, excavated and analyzed two types of tablets that were different in script. The first tablet, Linear A, contained script that even today archaeologists are still unable to decode. Therefore, archaeologists believe that Linear A was script belonging to the early Minoan civilization (Martin 32). Whereas, Linear B, dated much later and included script that was much simpler to decipher. After much analysis Linear B`s script contains forms of early Greek validating that Mycenaeans were the first early settlers of Greece. Stories in this genre of southern writing focus on grotesques themes and include supernatural elements that are mainly focused on damage, the harsh conflicts of violence, racism, and delusional characters. William Faulkner, in his book The Sound and the Furry , displays all of these elements. It is seen by every character in the book and the scenes they play in the story, which is a specific role in creating the Southern Gothic vibe. I m guilty of this myself, in moments, though more conscious of it now. No argument can be made against it, the church is traditionally patriarchal, and dangerously so. In fact, Rosemary Radford Ruether claims in her book Sexism and God Talk, Male monotheism has been so taken for granted in Judeo Christian culture that the peculiarity of imaging God solely through one gender has not been recognized (53). We can easily address where some of these issues that arise from this might lie the lack of inclusion in practice, specifically in the Catholic Church with their opposition to the ordination of women modeled after this God, the lack of a sense of afterlife that is attainable by women, and a lack of accessibility to other figures and symbols in the church. More than that, we can point to the issues of their being directly related to sin, as well as the shunning and lack of acknowledgement that spills into shaming of their bodies. Often, however, we ignore the results of these issues. As a direct result of the damage done by patriarchal traditions and patriarchal views of God, women are ill equipped to deal with difficult aspects of their lives. In order to adequately address issues of sadness, suffering, trauma, and other theodical roots, everyone, and women in particular, must be shown a reimagined view of God. Ruether claims, ... Eventually, there industry wide agreements in stove foundries, but until this the strength of the moulders depended solely on their skill and control of the work process through their union. The Iron Moulders differed from the Coopers in that they maintained a high level of workplace control into the twentieth century. This was mainly due to the strength of their organization, but also relied on the slower introduction of machinery to replace physical workers in this industry, and therefore the workers had time to perfect their craft before the machines arrived. His family are far from rich, He is the son of Gaius Caesar and Aurelia Caesar, however his father died when he was 16 so he stayed very close to his mother. Caesar married a nobleman s daughter name Cornelia, they both had a daughter, Julia Caesaris, but sadly Cornelia died in 69 BC. Two years later he marries the granddaughter of the dictator Sulla, Pompeia, they were married for five years before they were divorce. He married for the final time to a young lady, Calpurnia, whom will stay with him till the end, even though he had numerous mistresses including Cleopatra VII, whom she had a baster son name Caesarion. Raging with anger, the dictator Sulla demanded that Caesar either divorced or loss all his land, he instead joined the military. Before Sulla died, Caesar and a couple of his closest friends convince him to let Caesar back into Rome. Caesar rose to power, others got jealous and even one of the leaders were not fully over his enemy, however Caesar, Marcus Licinius Crassus, and Pompey became known as the First Triumvirate. Once again Caesar shows his abilities as someone who can negotiate and unit people together. • 29. Pew Charitable Trust Report According to a Pew Charitable Trust report, more than half of Americans have less than one month of income saved in case of emergency. This is in direct contradiction to the advice given by most financial experts to have at least three to six months living expenses on hand for unexpected situations, such as a job loss. It is interesting to note that all levels of income had the same lack of savings; therefore, it is not necessarily a problem with the amount of income, but instead with an inability to save. So, in order to get the nation where it should be in terms of savings, there should be a great emphasis on educating the average American on how to go about creating a savings. Make an Effort: There is an old adage that says that if someone ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Then were the clouds that covered the sky, not red, dark grey, a dark, dark grey. And out of the clouds shoots electricity. The electricity was like lightning. Bolts shot quickly, mercilessly. Down to the water, making title waves were ever it struck. In the middle of everything was someone. Someone laughing. Stranded out on an island in the ocean of blood. Laughing with a device in his hands. The storm went on and the ocean lapped up against cliffs. Strange rocky cliffs. They towered up higher than the clouds. And going up to the top there was a beautiful and magnificent city, which looked to be made of gold glowing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For that was what he was... he was nothing more than a boy... young and helpless against the forces that held him captive But he was more than that wasn t he? ************* That wasn t confusing at all.... It made perfect sense to me when I woke up. I had it all figured out: Something bad is going to happen. That was the easy part. The school was as Anna called it a major train wreck. We had to pass through the senior hallway to get to the lab because Anna needed some stuff. So I had everyone s eyes on me, mostly because I don t have any jeans or pants. The only pants that I do have are made to fit me when I am not wearing the prosthetic leg. I m used to it, but it s still uncomfortable... Anna opened the door and let me in, flicking on the lights. My jaw dropped; there was loads of stuff in there. Well, tomorrow is my presentation... She said letting out a deep breath. Fun right? Fun, I reply dully. Everything is here and all we have to do it set up tomorrow! We? That woke me up from whatever trance I was in. You re at least going to help right? She looks at me with an eyebrow raised. Questions On Exhaust Gas Recirculation System Essay CHAPTER 3 EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION SYSTEM 3.1 FABRICATION PROCESS OF BIMETALLIC PISTON Figure 3.1 Bimetallic Piston 3.2 CATALYST The rate of chemical reaction increases with the presence of a substance called as catalyst. 3.3 TYPICAL MECHANISM In catalyst regenerating process, it generally reacts with one or more than one reactants to form intermediate product which then gives the final reaction product. X + C → XC (1) Y + XC → XYC (2) XYC → CZ (3) CZ → C + Z (4) This represents a typical reaction scheme, where C Catalyst X and Y Reactants Z Product of the reaction of X and Y In reaction 1 the catalyst is consumed even though in reaction 4 it is subsequently produced, so it does not occur in the overall reaction equation: X + Y → Z 3.4 MATERIALS As catalysis the chemical nature of catalysts is also diverse. For the many reactions involving water, including hydrolysis and its reverse, the most widely used catalysts is proton acids. Multifunctional solids often are catalytically active. e.g. alumina, zeolites, graphitic carbon, nanoparticles, nanodots, higher order oxides, and facets of bulk materials. To catalyze redoxreactions like oxidation and hydrogenation, transition metals are often used. For example nickel such as Raney nickel for hydrogenation, and vanadium (V) oxide for oxidation of sulfur dioxide into sulfur trioxide by the so called contact process. • 33. Becoming A Good Baseball Player Establishing teamwork on and off the field is a skill that of which I excel at. This past year we had teammates of all ages. We had 4 seniors, two of which did not get to play very often and sat the bench; I tried to keep them upbeat and positive even though they didn t get much playing time. There were were four of us Juniors. We were not only playing on the Varsity team; we played JV to help out the younger less athletic players. We had three Sophomores and two Freshman that came up in the ranks to play Varsity; they didn t need encouragement on the field; but they needed to learn how we encourage even the less talented players and not boast and brag about how much better we were than them. One of the teammates I think I ve learned the most from is our player who is autistic. He started playing his Sophomore year. We have seen him come from not being able to hold a bat or a glove to actually catching balls and hitting them and making it on base to eventually scoring. This is where working as a team brought us together to make the player with the least ability enjoy and actually playing the game; even though at times it hurt our score; it made another individual feel good about himself. In the past I had been narrow minded and thought that being in a wheelchair had its perks. For instance they got to go the front of the line of a roller coaster, they get to sit all day, and lastly they get accommodated first. However, it wasn t until I lived that lifestyle, did I realize that being in a wheelchair is hard, and uncomftorable. As we approached the airplane gate, I was wheeled to the entrance where I noticed how narrow and tiny the entrance to the airplane really was. The doorway, not to mention the aisle was so narrow that the wheelchair could not be boarded upon the plane. Luckily ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

She corruptively treats younger man of her craving with money, expensive wear, and special attentions. These men in return have to satisfy the sexual thirst of the older Bellaston. Sophia is a conservative girl from the country; she in not used to the liberal life of London. In contrast, Lady Bellaston has no limits when it comes to libertinism. During the erotic play, Sophia leaves the room as she tells Bellaston who follows her up the stair how insulted and humiliated she felt to have observed such a coarse show.
