Wrong View and Wrong Thought will lead one to Dukkha.
May I strive for Right View and Thought for Sukha.
邪见和邪念会导致苦。愿我努力追求正见和正思维，以获得真正的快乐。
The mind is the forerunner of
all things, the mind is their
leader, they are created by the
mind. If one speaks or acts
with impure thoughts,
suffering caused by them
follows, as the wheel follows
the hoof of the ox.
( Dhammapada Verse 1)
心是万物的先导，心是万物的领导
者，万物都是由心创造的。如果一
个人以不净的思想说话或做事，由这
些思想所造成的痛苦就会随之而
来，就像轮子跟随牛蹄一样。

The mind is the forerunner of
all things, the mind is their
leader, they are created by the
mind. If one speaks or acts
with pure thoughts, happiness
caused by them follows, like
one's shadow that
never leaves him.
When one has Right View of everything, then there will be less misery.
May I be mindful to keep my thoughts, speech and deeds pure most constantly.
当一个人对一切事物都有正见时，痛苦就会减少。
愿我时刻保持正念，保持我的思想、言语和行为最清净。
心是万物的先导，心是万物的领导者，
万物都是由心创造的。如果一个人以清
净的思想说话或做事，由这些思想所带
来的快乐就会随之而来，就像一个人的
影子永远不会离开他一样。

Hate is never conquered
by hate in this world;
hatred is overcome by
love. This is the
Eternal Law.
在這世上，恨絕不
能止恨，唯有慈愛
方能止恨，這是永
恆的真理。
Hate can lead one to unwholesome action.
May I strive to cut this mental poison.
仇恨会导致一个人做出不健康的行为。
愿我努力斩断这精神毒。

Avoid both folly
and greed.
Meditating earnestly
the watchful man
acquires great
happiness.
(Dhammapada Verse 27)
避免愚蠢和贪婪。精进禅修
的人会获得极大的快乐。。
Be mindful of the great danger of greed and delusional stupidity.
May I practice charity, morality and meditation constantly.
要注意贪婪和愚妄妄想的巨大危险。
愿我不断修行布施、持戒和禅修。

If a man’s mind is
concentrated and calm,
and if he has abandoned
both good and evil, there
is no fear for him.
如果一个人的心是专注和平
静的，如果他已弃善恶，
无有畏惧。
A composed, still mind is filled with much peace and equanimity.
May I practice Right Mindfulness and Concentration ardently.
一个沉着、专注的心充满了平和与平静。
愿我热心修习正念和定力。

The scent of flowers, incense
and jasmine cannot travel
against the wind, but the
fragrance of good deeds
travels in all directions.
花香茉莉之香，不能逆
风而行，而善行之香，
却能四面八方传播。
Virtue is the foundation of every spiritual practice.
May I be morally righteous in my quest for mental peace.
美德是一切精神实践的基础。
愿我在追求心灵平静的过程中保持道德正义。

That deed is not well-done
when, after having done it,
one repents, and when
weeping with tearful face,
one reaps the fruit thereof.
若做了某事會後悔，
以及受其果報時，
他淚流滿面地悲泣，
那即是沒有善行其事。
Evil deeds will bring guilt, remorse and lots of painful Dukkha.
May I not be trapped by Mara and commit evil kamma.
恶行会带来愧疚、悔恨和许多痛苦的苦。愿我不被魔罗所困，造恶业。

Look upon the wise
man who shows up
faults as a revealer
of treasures.
It is good to know
such a man.
若見彼智者──能指示過失，並
能譴責者，當與彼為友；猶如
知識者，能指示寶藏。與彼智
人友，定善而無惡。
Wise ones know and point out to others the defilements of the mind.
May I not mix with the fools but the wise who teach the Truth Sublime.
智者知道并向他人指出内心的烦恼。愿我不与愚人交往，
而与教导崇高真理的智者交往。

Even the gods must envy
him whose senses are under
control like well-trained
horses, and who has put
away pride
and evil thoughts.
彼諸根寂靜，如御者調馬，
離我慢無漏，為天人所慕。
Noble Ones have sense restraint, right view and they cut the ego.
May I guard my sense doors and practice The Noble Path in Life’s flow.
圣者有感官克制、正见，他们斩断我执。
愿我守护我的根门并修习生命流中的圣道。

Though one man conquers
a thousand times a
thousand men in battle,
he who conquers himself
is the greatest warrior.
尽管一个人在战斗中战胜
了一千次，但战胜自己的
人才是最伟大的战士。
Right Effort entails ‘killing’ bad thoughts and growing good ones in the mind.
May I be mindful and watching the mind to keep it wholesome and fine.
正精进意味着“消灭”不好的想法并在心中培育好的想法。
愿我保持正念并观察心，使其保持纯净和美好。

Let a man strive to do good
and cease to do evil.
If a man is slow to do good,
he easily comes to do evil.
應急速作善，制止罪惡心。
怠慢作善者，心則喜於惡。
Right Speech, Right Action, Right Livelihood is morality in the Middle Way.
May what I say, act and how I make a living not harm beings night and day.
正语、正业、正命是中道道德。
愿我所说、所行、所做的事不日夜伤害众生。

Like a well-trained horse when
touched by the whip,
let a man be active, let him throw
off this load of misery by faith,
goodness, concentration,
understanding of the Law
and wisdom.
就像一匹训练有素的马受到鞭子的打
击一样，让一个人积极主动，让他通
过信心、善良、专注、对法律的了解
和智慧来摆脱这种痛苦的负担。
A trained mind of Sadha, Sila, Samadhi and Panna is near Enlightenment.
May I walk The Noble 8-Fold Path diligently, mindfully with commitment.
训练有素的萨达（Sadhha）、戒律（Sila）、三摩地（Samadhi）和般那
（Panna）的思想接近启蒙。愿我精进、正念、坚定地走八正道。

Those who have not led a
good life and have earned
no merit in their youth, lie
sighing for the past like
worn-out bows.
Dhammapada Verse 156
那些年轻时没有过好日子、
没有立下什么功劳的人，
叹息往事就像断弓一样。
Wise ones live virtuously with much merit, filling the mind with joy and peace.
May I shun a life of vice lest I have a mind of sorrow and dis-ease.
有智慧的人，生活有善德，有很多功德，内心充满喜悦与平静。
愿我远离罪恶的生活，免得我有悲伤和痛苦的心。

Let a man follow
the path of righteousness
and not the path of evil.
The righteous man is happy
both in this world
and the next.
行正法善行。勿行於惡行。
依正法行者，
此世他世樂。
Moral conduct must be practiced to have true peace internally.
May I always uphold my moral precepts very mindfully.
必须实践道德行为才能拥有真正的内心平静。
愿我始终非常正念地持守我的道德戒律。

‘Cease to do evil,
do good,
cleanse your
own heart.’
This is the teaching of all
the Buddhas.
一切惡莫作，一切善應行，
自調淨其意，
是則諸佛教。
Wrongful actions of the mind, speech and body lead to Dukkha.
May I be pure in the mind, speech and body to have Sukha.
意、语、身的错误行为会导致苦。
愿我的身、语、意清净，从而拥有Sukha。

There is no fire like
greed, and no ill-fortune
like hatred. There is no
sorrow like this bodily
existence; there is no
happiness like Nirvana.
无如贪欲之火，无如瞋心之
恶，无如五蕴之苦，
无如涅槃之乐。
Greed, hate and delusion are the root cause of sorrow or Dukkha.
May I eradicate the defilements and attain Nibbana.
贪、瞋、痴是悲伤或苦的根源。
愿我根除烦恼，证得涅槃。

Let a man overcome
hatred by kindness, evil
by goodness, greed by
generosity, and lies by
telling the truth.
Dhammapada verse 223
人们应该以仁克恨，
以善克恶。
通过慷慨克服贪婪，
通过说真话克服谎言。
Kindness, virtue, giving and truthfulness are spiritually lofty.
May I practice the spiritual qualities and cross Samsara’s Sea.
仁慈、美德、奉献和诚实在精神上是崇高的。
愿我修行功德，渡轮回海。

wisdom shine brig,
Guiding us through darkness,
into the Dhamma's light,
May compassion and peace in our
hearts always dwell.
On this Wesak day,
may all beings be well.
引导我们穿越黑暗，进入法光，愿慈悲与
平安常驻在我们心中。在这卫塞节，
愿一切众生一切安好。
