The Primary Compound Steel Contained Chromium
The primary compound steel contained chromium and was protected in 1865 by American
metallurgist Julius Baur and produced by the Chrome Steel Co. of Brooklyn, N.Y. This amalgam steel
was never fruitful, yet the reputation provoked an enthusiasm for chromium combination steels by
French metallurgist Henri Ami Brustlein. He soon discovered that to composite chromium with steel,
the chromium mineral should have been refined to create an expert amalgam of iron chromium
carbon. This expert amalgam would promptly break up into the melt of the pot process, generally the
recuperation of chromium would be excessively whimsical, making it impossible to control the
compound substance. Brustlein created and sold chromium amalgam steels for instruments, gun shells,
and covering plate over a time of around 15 to 20 years before any other person entered the field. For
his work in creating combination steel and related warmth medicines and applications, Brustlein
should be known as the Father of Alloy Steels.
While Brustlein was creating chromium steels, other French metallurgists were figuring out how to
noticed nickel containing metal from New Caledonia, a French region in the South Pacific. The
subsequent ferronickel was then used to add nickel to steel. The creation of nickel steel was seen in
France in 1888 by James Riley, an Englishman who made plans for comparative steels to be made at
The Steel Company of Scotland in 1889. He promptly tried these steels and reported their

John Maynard Keynes Essay examples
John Maynard Keynes
John Maynard Keynes was born in 1883 which means he lived around the same time period as the
seven creative individuals which Howard Gardner chose to focus on in his book Creating Minds. I
chose to look at the life of Maynard Keynes because it is such a fascinating and diverse one. While
entailing some of the same features found in the lives of those Gardner focused on, Maynard s life
includes a lot of differences and adds some interesting twists as well. It can only be beneficial and
interesting to see how this creative individual fits into Gardner s model. Keynes was one of the most
influential economists of the twentieth century, and one of only a handful of social scientists who,
through their writings, have ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Through her willingness to depart from the traditional, she was one of the earliest influence on
Keynes. She broke out of the traditional role placed on women during that period, thereby setting an
example for Maynard who was very close to his mother.
Now we must take into the account the Keynes colorful and distinguished ancestry. The early Keynes
were people of high standing whose influence can still be seen in the names of places in England such
as Horstead Keynes. Both the maternal and paternal side of Keynes ancestors were non conformists
who remained steadfast Roman Catholics during a time of religious persecution. Maynard studied his
ancestry extensivly and was very proud of it. As a student he drew up a family tree, and in later years
wrote an introduction to one of his books based on it.
The Pride of ancestry has in great measure passed away, for the fast rising wave of democracy day by
day obliterates the old land marks and traditions that were once held dear. Some, however, I trust there
are, to whom the great names of the past remain in living memory, who shape their course in the world
under a deep sense of responsibility of bearing them; and fill their appointed position and do their
appointed work commanded by the gaze of all their ancestors. (Hession 363)
Some speculate that this was an introduction to an autobiography Keynes was writing at the time of
his death. This passage shows how noteworthy his ancestry was to Maynard and how it provided

Analysis Of The Cabbage Soup Diet
There are a variety of reasons why people suddenly feel the need to lose weight. Many have an
upcoming wedding, class reunion, or vacation that entices them to drop 10 pounds quickly. If you
have 7 days to prepare, then the Cabbage Soup Diet is something you may want to consider. This high
fiber, low fat diet is not appropriate for long term weight loss, but may begin a more sensible eating
plan.
The Cabbage Soup Diet limits your food intake to fruit, vegetables, cabbage, unsweetened beverages
and other low calorie foods. Three to five times more weight is lost in 7 days by this particular diet.
Other moderate diets can only demonstrate a loss of one pound per week with physical exercise.
The recipe is rather simple and includes an array

What Is Worship And What It Is Not
What Worship Is And What It Is Not.
What is the true meaning of worshipping God? Is it intense emotional outpouring of an individual? Is
it smoke, lights, and loud music reminiscent of some sort of sanctified bar room? Does it require
music or sound at all? What exactly is required of an individual who wishes to glorify his Creator and
Redeemer? These are the questions that will be discussed in this paper. What is worship? It can be
defined as many things from solitude and prayer with God; It may involve music to some, in an effort
to draw one closer into the presence of the Almighty. The best definition of worship is this: it is an end
unto itself; it is not a means unto something else. When we try to worship for the sake of certain
benefits that may be received, the act ceases to be worship; for then it attempts to use God as a means
to something else. (Segler 5) It may be nigh unto impossible to pinpoint a single form of worship that
is applicable to everyone, but a single concept must be present for all believers. This is the concept of
surrender and obedience to God. It is the humbleness to something greater than oneself. It the
realization that man is nothing but sand on the seashore, while God is an endless sea. Mankind is
finite; he is only given a few years, while God is the Ancient of Days. Whether this humble surrender
is in the silence of solitude or in the presence of other believers, it is foolish to speculate. Worship is to
quicken the conscience to the

Analysis Of The Central Themes From Shakespeare s Henry Iv
What is honor? That question is one of the central themes from Shakespeare s Henry IV. Throughout
the play Shakespeare provides many different views of honor, but never directly states what honor is.
Which makes sense because honor is a rather abstract concept that seems to vary depending on who
states their opinion. There are some universal ideas of honorable deeds but the word itself is rarely
defined by individuals. Two of the characters within the play have very different ideas of honor and
vary greatly in their desire for it. They are Hotspur and Falstaff, Hotspur appears to have a very clear
idea of what honor is and he pursues honor with great fervor. However, Falstaff questions the very
existence of honor and has little to no desire for it. The ideas of Falstaff and Hotspur about honor are
vastly different.
Falstaff and Hotspur differ significantly in their idea of honor. Hotspur believes honor is all about
glory and being the center of attention. While Falstaff is only certain that the dead have honor but is
unsure about what it is as described by this excerpt of his soliloquy, No. What is honour? . Hotspur
believes that honor is derived from epic or heroic deeds, these deeds tends to be very physical in
nature such as the honor gained from battle. Bravery and the acts associated with it is an additional
font from which honor can flow freely. This is described by the line, O the blood more stirs To rouse a
lion than to start a hare. It s clearly much more

The Bitch Manifesto By Joreen Freeman
Feminist Movements started long before 1960, with the advancement of women earning the right to
vote. However, it did not stop with that change. There were many other items that the women in
history hoped to change, not only to better their own lives, but also the women of the future. With the
use of many documents, such as flyers, letters, and boycotts, women of the past changed many
different aspects of life for women in the world today. Boycotting the Miss America Pageant in 1968
and 1969, circulating flyers around America, was just the beginning of this second movement. They
also used to write to convey their thoughts. One of which was titled The Bitch Manifesto and was
written in 1968 by Joreen Freeman. The second was a spin off from a children s book entitled There
was a Young Women Who Swallowed a lie which was written in 1970 by Meredith Tax. Slavery
Exists! Reported by a flyer that circulated around America in 1968. At this time, slavery as we
remember was over, so to many at the time, what the women were proclaiming may have been
confusing to some. This circulated around before the Miss America pageant. The Washington Women
s Liberation were portraying the pageant to slavery because Miss America was a slave to cultural
norms of the time, the image of sex, virginal prettiness, glory of war, mindless conformity, acceptance
of racism, cult of youth, the competitive spirit, and the capitalistic system. With this flyer, they were

Our Guiding Compass
Who are we? Where do we come from? Where are we going? And most importantly, where are we
returning to? These four questions summarize the reasons for human action, they are our guiding
compass. For identity, to support someone, to go someplace or to return someplace. Humans are gifted
with intelligence and thus there is a reason behind their every action. Humans place a purpose behind
their actions at the same time search for a purpose in life. No one would sacrifice everything to get
nothing in return. I am no different. I surpass adversity and hardships time and again because I yearn
for a better future. I come from a small village in Kenya where I grew up and learned that not

In Disposable People, Kevin Bales tells the story of one man working as a slave in a Pakistani brick
kiln: His brother in law had left the kiln in search of better work, as a result this man was taken

before in my life and I had never worked there; I didn t owe this man any money ... The kiln owner
just said that was tough, he was holding my brother and me as ransom against my brother in law s
debt. At the kiln they made me work and told me that if I tried to escape they would beat me or shoot

Diabetes Mellitus As A Chronic Metabolic Disorder Essay
Chapter 23
Diabetes
Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic metabolic disorder that prevents the body to utilise glucose completely
or partially. It is characterised by raised glucose concentration in the blood and alterations in
carbohydrate, protein and fat metabolism. This can be due to failure in the formation of insulin or
liberation or action. Since insulin is produced by the p cells of the islets of Langerhans, any receding
in the number of functioning cells will decrease the amount of insulin that can be synthesised. Many
diabetics can produce sufficient insulin but some stimulus to the islets tissue is needed in order that
secretion can take place. During the early stages of the disease, the Insulin Like Activity (ILA) of the
blood is often increased, but most of this insulin appears to be bound to protein and is not available for
transport across the cell membrane and action of the cell. Globally, as of 2010, an estimated 285
million people had diabetes, with type 2 making up about 90% of the cases. In 2011 it resulted in 1.4
million deaths worldwide making it the 8th leading cause of death. This is an increase from 1 million
deaths in 2000. Its rate has increased, and by 2030, this number is estimated to almost double.
Diabetes mellitus occurs throughout the world, but is more common (especially type 2) in more
developed countries. The greatest increase in rates is, however, expected to occur in Asia and Africa,
where most people with diabetes will

Essential Transformation Process And Facility Layout
Selecting the most appropriate transformation process and facility layout is one of the keys towards
achieving success in the company s performance. In general, there are many forms of the
transformation processes, and each has a particular facility layout. There are also hybrid combinations
of them so the organization can choose the one that best fits its needs and potential.
The basic forms of transformation systems are job shop, continuous process, cellular production, flow
shop, and project (Meredith Shafer, 2013). Job shops are industries that offer a wide range of products
and services, they can achieve diversity in possible outputs using departments functionally
specializing in one or other goods. The specialty of this transformation system is that the departments
comprise of identical equipment or involve people with nearly the same set of skills and the process is
carried out on a non stop basis. It also has a peculiar layout that is based on a historically stable output
so that it is rarely changed.
The second type of transformation system is a continuous process. Such industries use a set of
materials and equipment and a sequence of processes to produce a final output. Facility layout of this
transformation system is usually a set of needed equipment such as assembly lines, tanks, pipes, etc.,
and low skilled employees whose primary responsibility is monitoring a continuous working flow of
the machines.
Next type of transformation process is cellular

Imperialism In Hotel Rwanda
In Hotel Rwanda, the stages of genocide are made apparent through the escape of our protagonist,
Paul, and his family during the 1994 Rwandan genocide. The first stage of genocide is classification.
The movie begins already past the stage of classification, but the two groups of Hutus and Tutsis are
already identified from the rule they once had from Belgium. The Hutus are described as having dark
skinned, having broader noses, and looking less European, whereas the Tutsis are more European
looking, have lighter skin, and slimmer noses. The Tutsis were originally in power when the Belgians
were ruling, but when they pulled out they left the Hutus in power. The Hutus after years of being put
down rose up with anger against the oppression they had from when the Tutsis were in power. ... Show

The Hutus typically wore the bright colored clothes and waved brightly colored flags. Additionally,
the Paul s ID card is stamped Hutu to identify himself, and thus tell the Interahamwe which group
someone belonged too. The dehumanization of the Tutsi people is perhaps the most poignant in the
movie. Repeatedly, the Tutsis are referred to as cockroaches on the radio and by the Interahamwe. The
Tutsi people were treated as worthless, when Paul goes to see George he sees Tutsi women caged.
These women were most likely raped and treated without any dignity by the Hutu people. Tutsi
children were forced by Hutus to kill their families; Tutsis were rounded up like cattle and chopped by
the dozens all justified by seeing the Tutsis as less than

A simple intranet consists of an internal email system and perhaps a message board service. More
sophisticated intranets include Web sites and databases containing company news, forms, and
personnel information. Besides email and groupware applications, an intranet generally incorporates
internal Web sites, documents, and or databases. The business value of intranet solutions is generally
accepted in larger corporations, but their worth has proven very difficult to quantify in terms of time
saved or return on investment.
An extranet is a computer network that allows controlled access from the outside for specific business
or educational purposes. Typically a company extranet is used for people to connect to the company to
conduct any number of tasks behind a password protected area. A common application of an extranet
is a partner area where partners and resellers can download sales resources such as graphics and
content to aid in the sales process. Sometimes referred to as a portal, an extranet can also be used to
service clients who need support for products and services purchased from the organization. An
enterprise level extranet application can be built upon most technology available today, including dot

networks that have been built in many corporations for information sharing and ecommerce. Most

Fallacious reasoning is the act of forming strong one sided opinions based on one s perceptions in

The following advertising controversially displays a symbol of dogmatism. Eerily similar to the pasta
noodles package American Beauty one would see in their local supermarket. Dogmatism is
exemplified on this movie soundtrack cover as it is exposes the observer to first a highlighted Warhol
tinged title. One fact that contradicts this hidden reasoning is there is more than one America, and the
Americas are indigenous to many races and cultures. An additional example of the one sided attitude
marketers had towards the promotion of this advertisement is its stereotypical image of how many
people in the world perceives North American women to be. This title plays upon all people wanting
to fit in of the idea of what they perceive beauty to be. As it also echoes the sexist fifties symbols of
pinup girls. Underneath it seems like this image is the just choice for what an American beauty can be.
A blond, petite, woman whose body looks so flawless it only needs to be adorned in roses. In this
image it seems that roses can be smelt as well as draw upon other senses. This ad unwillingly touches
the inner emotions in all who view it. It also devalues the principles America is known for, not only
the melting pot of the world, but a place where women have fought for liberties greater than this single
sided image.

How Did Charles Darwin Contribute To Science
It is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive
to change, this was said by Charles Darwin, a naturalist who developed the theory of evolution to
explain biological change. Almost all things are somehow affected or reshaped entirely by scientific
advances. Science plays a huge role in everyone and every things life. There are many scientist who
have discovered, helped advance, or even invented incredible things. And in the top 100 influential
scientist sits Charles Darwin. Just like any other scientist, his studies open doors to many more. His
research and visions of common ancestry revolutionized studies in comparative anatomy, embryology,
and taxonomy, and has brought together the basic rule of all biology. But Darwin s innovative idea of
the process of evolution was received cautiously and remains in the minds of many scientist today. His
idea made a huge leap, but there was a missing puzzle piece that was found by scientist Gregor
Mendel who figured out that heredity depends on genes. So without Darwin s grand theory many
discoveries enabled by the application of evolutionary tools would have not been made. Darwin s
ideas have been enhanced and modified as new knowledge and technologies have become ... Show

Even though this branch took awhile to fully developed most of it was based off of Darwinian
concepts. Another side of philosophy of biology deals with the role of laws. In physical sciences laws
are the bases of theories like the law of motion lead to the theory of gravity. But in evolutionary
biology theories are widely based on concepts like female choice, dominance and succession, and
selection. Over the past century a pronounced change in the methodology in biology took place.
Darwin did not directly cause this change but he did strengthened by his developments in evolutionary
biology (Mayr).

Earnest Hemingway Essay
Earnest Hemingway
As one of the 20th century s most important and influential writers. His writings drew heavily on his
own experiences for his writing. His writing reflected his trouble with relating to women and his
tendency to treat them as objects, as he had four marriages and countless affairs, highlighting his
theme of alienation and disconnection. Now here is why he is what he is by writing about what he
was.
Ernest Miller Hemingway was born on July 21, 1899, in Oak Park, Illinois, to Dr. Clarence
Hemingway and Grace Hall Hemingway. Oak Park was a mainly Protestant, upper middle class
suburb of Chicago that Hemingway would later refer to as a town of wide lawns and narrow ... Show

After only six months on staff at the Star, Hemingway resigned and attempted to enlist in the army,
only to be rejected because of poor vision. Determined to get involved in the war, he joined the Red

exploded and he had to carry the bodies and body parts of the women who worked in the factory to a
makeshift morgue. Only a few weeks later, as he was distributing chocolate and cigarettes to Italian
soldiers in the trenches near the front lines, Hemingway was seriously wounded by fragments from an
Austrian mortar shell which had landed only a few feet away. Hemingway claimed, despite over 200
pieces of shrapnel being lodged in his legs and being shot in the legs several times, he managed to
carry a wounded soldier back to the
Schlusemeyer 3 first aid station. For this feat, he was awarded the Silver Medal for Valor by the Italian
government. Because of his tendency to exaggerate his heroism in telling of his own feats, however,
some believe that Hemingway may have changed some details about the event in retelling it or
fabricated it altogether (Rozkis 235).

Robber s Declarative Memory
From his working memory it takes in and outputs to his, declarative memory, and prospective memory
which are short term memory and long term memory (Friedenberg Silverman, 2012, p.112 117). For
the robber, his declarative memory is part of short term memory and long term memory because he is
given facts and declarations and with the time being he rehearses them well enough that they become
long term memory (Friedenberg Silverman, 2012, p.113 117). Basically, he rehearses facts and events
in short term memory which leads it to being more active and having a lower chance of decaying.
Thus, with this method of rehearsing, eventually the information stays in the robber s mind for a
longer period of time (Friedenberg Silverman, 2012, p.113 116). Robber s prospective memory
contains his goals and desires that he wants to fulfil by achieving the money from the bank (Li and
Laird, 2013, p.155). Prospective memory deals with future predictions and having a dream to achieve
them (Li and Laird, 2013, p.155). Similarly, prospective memory is part of short term memory and
long term memory because just like for his declarative memory, he is able to rehearse well enough his
goals and desires by preventing them from decaying, which will stay longer in the robber s mind
(Friedenberg Silverman, 2012, p.113 116).

Is Freedom Still Relevant Today
As our Founding Fathers stated in the First Amendment in the Constitution of the United States,
Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise
thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech or of the press, or the right of the people to peaceably
assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances, (qtd. in Marcovitz 22). Were they
alive today, our Founding Fathers would be greatly appreciative of the changes made to the
Constitution as the prospective and needs of our nation evolved over the last several decades. Freedom
is the idea of being able to act, speak, or think without rule or restriction; which is not the reality of
many countries today and also for women and slaves many years ago in the United States.

Comparing Siddhartha Gautama And Mahayana Buddhism
If history has taught us anything, is that whoever has the power gets heard the most. Minorities get
pushed aside unless aided by a higher voice. Likewise with the universal relgions of Mahayana
Buddhisma and Christanity, Ashoka and Constantine served as vessels of higher authority in the
spreading of their respective religions. Without political support, the spread of new concepts like
religion have a harder time seeping into the mindsets of societies. Often these ideas undergo
discrimination, if not termination altogether.
Siddhartha Gautama, or Buddha, was responsible for the philosophy of Buddhism. With the caste
system in place in India, it was difficult for the people in that civilization to do much that was

How to Incorporate the Fraud Triangle Theory
The term of fraud triangle was developed by Dr. Donald Cressey, a criminologist who studied
embezzlers. The three basic elements of fraud triangle include perceived pressure, perceived
opportunity, and the ability to rationalize. It explains the nature of many fraud offenders and also
become a tool to assess the risk of fraud. It is important to companies to incorporate the fraud triangle
theory in order to reduce the risk of fraud within their organization. From my standpoint, companies
should incorporate the fraud triangle from the following aspects.
First, companies should perform background investigation in order to uncover the perceived pressure.
The factors that create pressure include personal financial pressure (high levels of ... Show more

While some employees feel they are underpaid and deserve more money. A strong ethical culture and

acceptable in good corporate culture. Attractive employee benefit also helps company reduce the risk.
Once everyone is treated as a family member and satisfied with what they get from the company, they
will not commit fraud definitely. Although it is impossible to satisfy every employee, attractive benefit
should reduce the risk a lot.
In conclusion, I believe the fraud triangle is significant to a corporation. It is necessary to companies
to prevent fraud by incorporating the fraud triangle theory. After all, companies cannot only rely on
the external auditors or the fraud examiners. They have the responsibility to reduce the risk of fraud by
themselves. Probably, they can avoid some further costs as well. References

Life Cycle of a Plant, Dominant and Recessive Traits
Paragraph One: Description of the life cycle of a plant from seed to seed (information about the seed,
germination, growth, development, flower, pollination, fruit, seed; information is accurate)
The life cycle of a plant from seed to seed is not that complicated, it consists of a few steps. This all
starts with a seed. The first step is for the seed to germinate and turn into a seedling. Once the seedling
is formed, it will then grow into an adult plant with petals. These petals will then sprout to flowers,
which will produce fruits. The flowers will go to a process of fertilization called pollination, that s
when the pollen is moved from anthers to stigmas. Since the pollen contains sperm and it is passed on
to the ovules in the ovary, the sperm moves down to an ovule, which contains eggs. Fertilization then
happens when the sperm fuses with the egg in the ovule. The petals and stamens then fall away
creating a fruit. These fruits contain seeds, and once the plant has died, the seeds will fall to the
ground and repeat this cycle. So to summarize, the seed goes through a process called germination and
forms into a seedling, which then grows roots and forms true leaves. This plant continues to grow until
flowers are formed. The next step is a process called pollination and fertilization, which then forms a
fruit. The fruit will release the seeds and the process repeats.
Paragraph Two: Description of the purposes of the different parts of the plant

The Psychological Theories Of The Human Personality
The human Personality is an individual s distinctive behaviour, thoughts and emotions which work in
tandem to create a unique personality. This essay will analyse the operation of personality by
examining the three main psychological theories of; Carl Rogers, Sigmund Freud and Hans Eysenck.
These theories were initiated to gain an understanding of the mind and how particular personality
traits come about. Each of these theories are distinguished by three theoretical approaches, which are:
Nomothetic; nomothetic approaches argue that personality is the outcome of permanent characteristics
displayed consistently, this is measured using experiments or testing. For example, Eysenck is a type

approaches argue that each individual has a complex/unique personality. Therefore concerning

The Theory Of Functional Analysis
The word Church to a religious person has more meaning than just a building where people meet once
a week. To a religious person the word Church means the body of Christ. The body of Christ is made
up of every person s personal strengths that work together to form the entire body to live out a
purpose. Church s operate on this manner; they do not see one another as superior necessarily, but
rather everyone as equal and possessing their own strengths to create a fully operational team to
glorify God. However, sometimes this system does not function correctly because of various issues
such as a struggle for power, contrasting views and opinions, or lack of effort by people. We can apple
the theory of functional analysis to the issues that arise in the Church. Functional analysis is the theory
that society is made of many parts that work together to reach sociological equilibrium. This theory
can be applied to how the Church operates because every person within the Church must do his or her
specific job in order for the church to remain in equilibrium. When people work together there are
beneficial consequences of people s actions also known as functions. An example of this would be the
high school leadership team I am on at my church. The entire mission of this leadership team is to
make the high school group enjoyable for the high school students to keep returning to learn more
about Jesus. When this team collectively works together by doing what strengths they posses

The Heart Of A Heart Disappointment
Introduction:
Services Directors for taking care of hearts. Those services will help to have a better quality but with

Ceaseless heart disappointment (CHF) is a perplexing, crippling disorder because of cardiovascular
brokenness that weakens the capacity of the ventricle to load with, or launch, blood. Subsequently,
common side effects, for example, dyspnoea and weariness happen very still or with lessened physical
exertion. CHF regularly comes about because of harm to the myocardium for which the etiology

disorder is regularly the consequence of longstanding hypertension, cardiomyopathy or rheumatic
coronary illness (Sliwa 2005). This pattern is changing, with the rate and predominance of
atherosclerotic ailment expanding in low to medium wage countries (Yusuf 2001). CHF pushes a
significant trouble on health awareness frameworks, because of the high utilization of human assets

British Asylums
Overall, the British conquest of India in the late 1800s to early 1900s brought about positive and
negative changes to the country. Colonization of the land defined and segregated certain traits from
others. Those who were defined as incapable or different were sent to lunatic asylums to protect the
rest of society. They were scrutinized by their peers and stigmatized as a lunatic . The fact they were
separated and incarcerated from the public established a negative outlook on mental illness. However,
within the asylums, these individuals were the subjects of new health reforms and public health
policies towards mental health. As the British started to invest in the development of mental asylums,
they made renovations to the sanitation, health, and state of these facilities. They also modeled the
mental asylums after their own, and they introduced the basics of modern psychiatry. These
foundations consist of subjects such as research, drug therapy, patient care, preventative care, and vital
statistics. It introduced Indians to the way in which medicine can be practiced as well as how certain
treatments can be implemented to certain populations. The goal was to place India as close to other

Theme Of Insanity In Hamlet
The insanity of a person can be contributed through the trauma that is caused by a few events in a
person s life, but in the play Hamlet, William Shakespeare wrote the main character prince Hamlet
experiences a few dramatic events from the play which his attitude changes throughout. In order to
figure out whether hamlet is insane is by figuring out what the characteristics of his insanity.
Characters see Hamlet in different shades of gray, each side more or less sane than others. His sanity
can be his truth or his lie. The cause for a person s insanity can be perceived as a psychological
disorder. Insanity .n. Mental illness of such severe nature that a person cannot distinguish fantasy from
reality, cannot conduct her/his affairs due to psychosis, or is subject to uncontrollable impulsive
behavior (Ryan Howes, PhD.). Hamlet s own thorough planning to take revenge against claudius
shows his sharp and deceptive mind and creating deceptions for other character in order to make what
once was wrong and make it right with his own ideology. Don t let the Danish king s bed be a nest of
incest. But however you go about your revenge, don t corrupt your mind or do any harm to your
mother. Leave her to God and her own guilt (Old King Hamlet).
Hamlet s insanity can be thought of as a tragedy or misconception of reality. The death of his father
had shaped the first few impressions of his own persona as well as a new experience with his new
aunt. As a result of his genius insanity prince Hamlet has devised a plan to make things more clear to
the audience. Hamlet s behavior strikes the audience as abnormal on several occasions. For example,
Hamlet seems to be really mad when he is in front of Ophelia in disordered clothes. He behaves as if
he had been loosed out of hell to speak of the horror . As the progress of the play foreshadows a
significant end to his insanity that he acts upon. As the play progresses throughout, Hamlet finds ways
in order to give others the impression that he has lost his sanity from his love of Polonius s daughter
Ophelia. (Ophelia)He grabbed me by the wrist and held me hard, then backed away an arm s length

An Analysis of Why Nations Fail
Descriptive
Why Nations Fail takes an in depth look into why some countries flourish and become rich powerful
nations while other countries are left in or reduced to poverty. Throughout this book review I will
discuss major arguments and theories used by the authors and how they directly impact international
development, keeping in mind that nations are only as strong as their political and economical
systems. Extractive institutions are used throughout this book to explain that the upper class extracts
resources and goods from the lower class. They don t allow growth or competition, but rather they just
exploit the rest of society into doing their labour. It s used to please a few, rather than the majority, and

The essence of institutional drift is a key factor of the 6th chapter. Countries such as Venice and
Ancient Rome are used to describe why so many nations fail, due of the extractiveness of their
governments. There was a short time when these countries had an inclusive system that was working
and helping them grow. But the elite became greedy and power hungry, which set them on a
downward hill to failure. Whereas, in England the opposite was happening where there was a demand
for property rights and change. The elite were too afraid of losing their power to not agree and it is
precisely why England is still one of the most powerful countries in the world.
Extractive institutions play a huge role in encouraging the elite to dismiss up incoming technological
advances that would work towards modernization and industrialization. World inequality today exists
because during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries some countries were able to take advantage of
the Industrial Revolution and the technologies and methods of organizations that it brought while
others were unable to do so. (271). Acemoglu and Robinson put an emphasis on historical moments
such as the industrial revolution which had a role in how countries development played out some
nations took what was dealt to them and used it in their favor.
Extractive and Inclusive institution was the major theme of this book and analyzing why inequality is
still so apparent in most of the world.

scientists, inventors, music artists, and educators, however not requiring that they put the necessary

for failure. Life is high stakes, and the purpose of primary/secondary education is to prepare students
for life. Without the requirement, we leave them to possibly fail in life because no one ever made them

John Everett Millais Ophelia
During 1852, John Everett Millais created an astounding masterpiece, of oil on canvas, called
Ophelia. The primary focus is the character of Ophelia from Shakespeare s play Hamlet. The painting
is made to illustrate the tragic death of Ophelia in Shakespeare s play Hamlet, where she fell in the
stream and drowned. In the painting, Ophelia is observed lying down in the middle of a running,
narrow, river. She is painted with a long white dress layered with lace and beads highlighting her
importance in the painting. Ophelia s body is shown submerged with only her face, neck, breasts, and

Northup And Frederick Douglass Comparison
Slavery is a very immoral act that started in 1692. Everyone in this current day of age knows it is
completely wrong. The people were treated unfairly and were viewed as unintelligent animals. The
Slave Narrative of Frederick Douglass and 12 Years a Slave are very precise on how people were
treated and what really happened at that time. The Slave Narrative of Frederick Douglass is about a
slave that lives his life a slave and goes through many horrific acts. Throughout his life he teaches
himself how to read and write, also to educate himself to become an intelligent human being that lived
most of his life as a slave. The move 12 Years a Slave is about free black man in the North who was

of the Life of Frederick Douglass, the owners let the slaves rest so that they could work and

was a free and independent man. In the Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass, Frederick
Douglass wasn t free and independent because he was a slave.
The major difference that I observed throughout both stories was that they were both educated and

In order to meet the energy demand and a sustainable future, renewable energy is a better way to
achieve it.
Commonly, renewable energy is defined as energy which is able to be captured from existing natural
resources that are replenished rapidly, such as flowing water, sunshine, wind, geothermal heat flows
and ocean [2]. Renewable energy technologies are required to provide technologies to use one or
several renewable energy resources. There are some different types of renewable energy technologies,
which include solar energy, bioenergy, hydropower, wind energy, geothermal energy and tidal energy.
This thesis project will focus on the solar photovoltaic which is currently one of types of solar energy
technologies, and this technology using photovoltaic cells to converts sunlight directly into

Imagine a world in which all the noise in your town disappears. In Prentisstown, some people have the

The Controversialism Is The Presidential System Of Government
Thesis Statement
Presidentialism is a system of government in which the president is elected both chief executives and
as head of government (Ogelsby Suárez, 1968) and is the main system of democratic government
apart from parliamentary systems. Presidential systems tend to centralise priorities of the government
to stabilise society. Normally, they are classed into separate regions of power; where the executive,
legislative and judicial branches of government are dependent on one another and cannot work
effectively in deeply divided societies. This argument is ruled by the fact that they are 1) divisive,
causing isolation between different political, cultural and religious groups. Elites are prioritised over
minority working class groups and 2) inherently majoritarian, as only a single position is given,
causing proportionality to become impossible. In places such as Latin America and Northern Ireland,
we see the ways in which these theories have proven ineffectiveness. However, presidential systems
aim to separate powers in order to protect citizens rights and deter abuse of power for good
governance overall. Moreover, presidential systems, however, have quick decisiveness in resolving
societal issues. Without effective separation; executive, legislative and judicial powers, would be at
risk. Lastly, in divided societies; some have been forced to adopt presidential systems, but have
unsuccessfully done so, due to not achieving independent judiciaries and separation of

Inhumanity In Today s Society
When it becomes necessary for one to question his own liberties, his own freedom, and his own
independence, do we stand and wait for the impending slavery we know is inevitable. No we do not.
We create our own course and break the ties with those that cause us to question this
We hold these truths to be self evident, that all youth is created equal, that we share the same
responsibilities, chores, and privileges. With these rights we believe in our entitlement to allowance,
gifts, and many other sanctions. How must we be treated unequal when a parent receives this title
from the parented. Why must we let one be limited more or less than the other. We are created equal
yet treated differently. We must not under any circumstance turn on the ... Show more content on

For the unrighteous rampages:
For your reign of terror:
For every time we were treated lesser than a human.
They have abducted our items unfairly.
They have sent us to our room for ridiculous reasons.
They have directed unwarranted anger toward us.
They have always taught us to stand united but punish us when we stand against them.
They have undermined our allegiance when we ve always respected their authority.
They have enforced their rules with mistreatment and anger.
They have forgotten about morals and treated us as objects.
We ve tried to explain ourselves. We ve fussed and fought, but our requests are returned with
punishment. How is it the ones who ve taught us to speak our mind the first to shoot us down when it
is spoken against them. It would be punishment toward ourselves if we didn t use what we ve been
taught by our parents against them. How would we show them our true strength and our own will if
we remained silent. We will not remain quiet and just be this punching bag you perceive us to be. We
have a voice and will use to the best of our ability against you and anyone who threaten our

Differences Between Union And Confederate Motives Within...
Differences between Union and Confederate Motives within the Civil War The Civil War was a time
of major upheaval within America. Major issues such as slavery divided the states and threw the
nation in all different directions. As Abraham Lincoln was elected into the presidency in 1860, South
Carolina along with 10 other southern states began seceding from the union. Their reasoning for
secession included those of protecting the institution of slavery and state s rights. These affairs, then
led to the commencement of the Civil War, and soldiers of the Union and Confederate regions began
enlisting. Union and Confederates enlisted into the war for similar sounding motives, however a
deeper insight is needed to understand the basis of the war and that each side had contradicting
feelings and emotions behind every motive. At the beginning of the war, Initial incentives for the
soldier s included adventure, love, excitement, honor and duty. These motives were enthusiastically
recounted by both Union as well as Confederate sides of the war. However, their feelings behind them
varied greatly between the opposing states. The union was mostly associated with serving their
country as a service they felt was their duty to their country, not to themselves or to their home life.
Commander Charles Steedman, who confessed his support of the union expresses this passion I am as
I have always been, a Union man I know no North or South...all that I know is my

Voice In The Woman Warrior
In Maxine Hong Kingston s novel, The Woman Warrior: Memoirs of a Girlhood Among Ghosts, one
of the central themes of the novel is voice. In the novel Kingston through voice is able to break away
from the silence that she is bound by culture and it set to discover a voice for herself. Through this
novel Kingston is able to give a voice to disadvantaged females who are voiceless by empowering
them to find their own personal voice and self identities. The theme of voice is prevalent throughout
the novel and is exemplified as a cultural and emotional struggle as Kingston discovers her personal
voice. Kingston comprehends that in the traditional Chinese culture women do not have voice and are
seen as inferior. Kingston introduces silence in the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Kingston tells her mother that she is tired of keeping everything a secrecy and not being able to
distinguish what is real or what are lies when her mother talks story. Kingston is just tired of living in
silence and needs a voice for herself to be able to lead her life the way she want to. Kingston states, I
don t want to listen to any more of your stories; they have no logic. The scramble me up. You lie with
stories. You won t tell me a story and then say, This is a true story. I can t tell the difference (Kingston
202). Kingston was tired of all of the secrecy and silence and her voice was finally heard because she
fought for her own voice. Kingston fought against her Chinese culture in order to have a loud voice
for herself and not be a submissive woman who was destined to be a slave or a wife. In Kingston s
view, Not everybody think I m nothing. I am not going to be a slave or a wife (Kingston 201). As
Kingston found a voice for herself she wrote this novel and gave those suppressed females a voice for
themselves so they would not be suppressed by empowering them with a powerful weapon which is

  • 2. The Primary Compound Steel Contained Chromium The primary compound steel contained chromium and was protected in 1865 by American metallurgist Julius Baur and produced by the Chrome Steel Co. of Brooklyn, N.Y. This amalgam steel was never fruitful, yet the reputation provoked an enthusiasm for chromium combination steels by French metallurgist Henri Ami Brustlein. He soon discovered that to composite chromium with steel, the chromium mineral should have been refined to create an expert amalgam of iron chromium carbon. This expert amalgam would promptly break up into the melt of the pot process, generally the recuperation of chromium would be excessively whimsical, making it impossible to control the compound substance. Brustlein created and sold chromium amalgam steels for instruments, gun shells, and covering plate over a time of around 15 to 20 years before any other person entered the field. For his work in creating combination steel and related warmth medicines and applications, Brustlein should be known as the Father of Alloy Steels. While Brustlein was creating chromium steels, other French metallurgists were figuring out how to noticed nickel containing metal from New Caledonia, a French region in the South Pacific. The subsequent ferronickel was then used to add nickel to steel. The creation of nickel steel was seen in France in 1888 by James Riley, an Englishman who made plans for comparative steels to be made at The Steel Company of Scotland in 1889. He promptly tried these steels and reported their ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. John Maynard Keynes Essay examples John Maynard Keynes John Maynard Keynes was born in 1883 which means he lived around the same time period as the seven creative individuals which Howard Gardner chose to focus on in his book Creating Minds. I chose to look at the life of Maynard Keynes because it is such a fascinating and diverse one. While entailing some of the same features found in the lives of those Gardner focused on, Maynard s life includes a lot of differences and adds some interesting twists as well. It can only be beneficial and interesting to see how this creative individual fits into Gardner s model. She broke out of the traditional role placed on women during that period, thereby setting an example for Maynard who was very close to his mother. Now we must take into the account the Keynes colorful and distinguished ancestry. The early Keynes were people of high standing whose influence can still be seen in the names of places in England such as Horstead Keynes. Both the maternal and paternal side of Keynes ancestors were non conformists who remained steadfast Roman Catholics during a time of religious persecution. Maynard studied his ancestry extensivly and was very proud of it. As a student he drew up a family tree, and in later years wrote an introduction to one of his books based on it. The Pride of ancestry has in great measure passed away, for the fast rising wave of democracy day by day obliterates the old land marks and traditions that were once held dear. Some, however, I trust there are, to whom the great names of the past remain in living memory, who shape their course in the world under a deep sense of responsibility of bearing them; and fill their appointed position and do their appointed work commanded by the gaze of all their ancestors. (Hession 363) Some speculate that this was an introduction to an autobiography Keynes was writing at the time of his death. • 5. What Is Worship And What It Is Not What Worship Is And What It Is Not. What is the true meaning of worshipping God? Is it intense emotional outpouring of an individual? Is it smoke, lights, and loud music reminiscent of some sort of sanctified bar room? Does it require music or sound at all? What exactly is required of an individual who wishes to glorify his Creator and Redeemer? These are the questions that will be discussed in this paper. What is worship? It can be defined as many things from solitude and prayer with God; It may involve music to some, in an effort to draw one closer into the presence of the Almighty. The best definition of worship is this: it is an end unto itself; it is not a means unto something else. When we try to worship for the sake of certain benefits that may be received, the act ceases to be worship; for then it attempts to use God as a means to something else. (Segler 5) It may be nigh unto impossible to pinpoint a single form of worship that is applicable to everyone, but a single concept must be present for all believers. This is the concept of surrender and obedience to God. It is the humbleness to something greater than oneself. It the realization that man is nothing but sand on the seashore, while God is an endless sea. Mankind is finite; he is only given a few years, while God is the Ancient of Days. Whether this humble surrender is in the silence of solitude or in the presence of other believers, it is foolish to speculate. Worship is to quicken the conscience to the ... • 6. Analysis Of The Central Themes From Shakespeare s Henry Iv What is honor? That question is one of the central themes from Shakespeare s Henry IV. Throughout the play Shakespeare provides many different views of honor, but never directly states what honor is. Which makes sense because honor is a rather abstract concept that seems to vary depending on who states their opinion. There are some universal ideas of honorable deeds but the word itself is rarely defined by individuals. Two of the characters within the play have very different ideas of honor and vary greatly in their desire for it. They are Hotspur and Falstaff, Hotspur appears to have a very clear idea of what honor is and he pursues honor with great fervor. However, Falstaff questions the very existence of honor and has little to no desire for it. The ideas of Falstaff and Hotspur about honor are vastly different. Falstaff and Hotspur differ significantly in their idea of honor. Hotspur believes honor is all about glory and being the center of attention. While Falstaff is only certain that the dead have honor but is unsure about what it is as described by this excerpt of his soliloquy, No. What is honour? . Hotspur believes that honor is derived from epic or heroic deeds, these deeds tends to be very physical in nature such as the honor gained from battle. Bravery and the acts associated with it is an additional font from which honor can flow freely. This is described by the line, O the blood more stirs To rouse a lion than to start a hare. • 7. The Bitch Manifesto By Joreen Freeman Feminist Movements started long before 1960, with the advancement of women earning the right to vote. However, it did not stop with that change. There were many other items that the women in history hoped to change, not only to better their own lives, but also the women of the future. With the use of many documents, such as flyers, letters, and boycotts, women of the past changed many different aspects of life for women in the world today. • 11. Diabetes Mellitus As A Chronic Metabolic Disorder Essay Chapter 23 Diabetes Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic metabolic disorder that prevents the body to utilise glucose completely or partially. It is characterised by raised glucose concentration in the blood and alterations in carbohydrate, protein and fat metabolism. This can be due to failure in the formation of insulin or liberation or action. Since insulin is produced by the p cells of the islets of Langerhans, any receding in the number of functioning cells will decrease the amount of insulin that can be synthesised. Many diabetics can produce sufficient insulin but some stimulus to the islets tissue is needed in order that secretion can take place. During the early stages of the disease, the Insulin Like Activity (ILA) of the blood is often increased, but most of this insulin appears to be bound to protein and is not available for transport across the cell membrane and action of the cell. Globally, as of 2010, an estimated 285 million people had diabetes, with type 2 making up about 90% of the cases. In 2011 it resulted in 1.4 million deaths worldwide making it the 8th leading cause of death. This is an increase from 1 million deaths in 2000. Its rate has increased, and by 2030, this number is estimated to almost double. Diabetes mellitus occurs throughout the world, but is more common (especially type 2) in more developed countries. The greatest increase in rates is, however, expected to occur in Asia and Africa, where most people with diabetes will ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 12. Essential Transformation Process And Facility Layout Selecting the most appropriate transformation process and facility layout is one of the keys towards achieving success in the company s performance. In general, there are many forms of the transformation processes, and each has a particular facility layout. There are also hybrid combinations of them so the organization can choose the one that best fits its needs and potential. The basic forms of transformation systems are job shop, continuous process, cellular production, flow shop, and project (Meredith Shafer, 2013). Job shops are industries that offer a wide range of products and services, they can achieve diversity in possible outputs using departments functionally specializing in one or other goods. The specialty of this transformation system is that the departments comprise of identical equipment or involve people with nearly the same set of skills and the process is carried out on a non stop basis. It also has a peculiar layout that is based on a historically stable output so that it is rarely changed. The second type of transformation system is a continuous process. Such industries use a set of materials and equipment and a sequence of processes to produce a final output. Facility layout of this transformation system is usually a set of needed equipment such as assembly lines, tanks, pipes, etc., and low skilled employees whose primary responsibility is monitoring a continuous working flow of the machines. Next type of transformation process is cellular ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

How Did Charles Darwin Contribute To Science It is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change, this was said by Charles Darwin, a naturalist who developed the theory of evolution to explain biological change. There are many scientist who have discovered, helped advance, or even invented incredible things. And in the top 100 influential scientist sits Charles Darwin. His research and visions of common ancestry revolutionized studies in comparative anatomy, embryology, and taxonomy, and has brought together the basic rule of all biology. But Darwin s innovative idea of the process of evolution was received cautiously and remains in the minds of many scientist today. His idea made a huge leap, but there was a missing puzzle piece that was found by scientist Gregor Mendel who figured out that heredity depends on genes. • 20. Robber s Declarative Memory From his working memory it takes in and outputs to his, declarative memory, and prospective memory which are short term memory and long term memory (Friedenberg Silverman, 2012, p.112 117). For the robber, his declarative memory is part of short term memory and long term memory because he is given facts and declarations and with the time being he rehearses them well enough that they become long term memory (Friedenberg Silverman, 2012, p.113 117). Basically, he rehearses facts and events in short term memory which leads it to being more active and having a lower chance of decaying. Thus, with this method of rehearsing, eventually the information stays in the robber s mind for a longer period of time (Friedenberg Silverman, 2012, p.113 116). Robber s prospective memory contains his goals and desires that he wants to fulfil by achieving the money from the bank (Li and Laird, 2013, p.155). Prospective memory deals with future predictions and having a dream to achieve them (Li and Laird, 2013, p.155). Similarly, prospective memory is part of short term memory and long term memory because just like for his declarative memory, he is able to rehearse well enough his goals and desires by preventing them from decaying, which will stay longer in the robber s mind (Friedenberg Silverman, 2012, p.113 116). ... The three basic elements of fraud triangle include perceived pressure, perceived opportunity, and the ability to rationalize. It explains the nature of many fraud offenders and also become a tool to assess the risk of fraud. It is important to companies to incorporate the fraud triangle theory in order to reduce the risk of fraud within their organization. • 28. Life Cycle of a Plant, Dominant and Recessive Traits Paragraph One: Description of the life cycle of a plant from seed to seed (information about the seed, germination, growth, development, flower, pollination, fruit, seed; information is accurate) The life cycle of a plant from seed to seed is not that complicated, it consists of a few steps. This all starts with a seed. The first step is for the seed to germinate and turn into a seedling. Once the seedling is formed, it will then grow into an adult plant with petals. These petals will then sprout to flowers, which will produce fruits. The flowers will go to a process of fertilization called pollination, that s when the pollen is moved from anthers to stigmas. Since the pollen contains sperm and it is passed on to the ovules in the ovary, the sperm moves down to an ovule, which contains eggs. Fertilization then happens when the sperm fuses with the egg in the ovule. The petals and stamens then fall away creating a fruit. These fruits contain seeds, and once the plant has died, the seeds will fall to the ground and repeat this cycle. So to summarize, the seed goes through a process called germination and forms into a seedling, which then grows roots and forms true leaves. This plant continues to grow until flowers are formed. The next step is a process called pollination and fertilization, which then forms a fruit. The fruit will release the seeds and the process repeats. • 30. The Theory Of Functional Analysis The word Church to a religious person has more meaning than just a building where people meet once a week. To a religious person the word Church means the body of Christ. The body of Christ is made up of every person s personal strengths that work together to form the entire body to live out a purpose. Church s operate on this manner; they do not see one another as superior necessarily, but rather everyone as equal and possessing their own strengths to create a fully operational team to glorify God. However, sometimes this system does not function correctly because of various issues such as a struggle for power, contrasting views and opinions, or lack of effort by people. We can apple the theory of functional analysis to the issues that arise in the Church. Functional analysis is the theory that society is made of many parts that work together to reach sociological equilibrium. This theory can be applied to how the Church operates because every person within the Church must do his or her specific job in order for the church to remain in equilibrium. When people work together there are beneficial consequences of people s actions also known as functions. An example of this would be the high school leadership team I am on at my church. Theme Of Insanity In Hamlet The insanity of a person can be contributed through the trauma that is caused by a few events in a person s life, but in the play Hamlet, William Shakespeare wrote the main character prince Hamlet experiences a few dramatic events from the play which his attitude changes throughout. In order to figure out whether hamlet is insane is by figuring out what the characteristics of his insanity. Characters see Hamlet in different shades of gray, each side more or less sane than others. His sanity can be his truth or his lie. The cause for a person s insanity can be perceived as a psychological disorder. Insanity .n. Mental illness of such severe nature that a person cannot distinguish fantasy from reality, cannot conduct her/his affairs due to psychosis, or is subject to uncontrollable impulsive behavior (Ryan Howes, PhD.). Hamlet s own thorough planning to take revenge against claudius shows his sharp and deceptive mind and creating deceptions for other character in order to make what once was wrong and make it right with his own ideology. Don t let the Danish king s bed be a nest of incest. But however you go about your revenge, don t corrupt your mind or do any harm to your mother. Leave her to God and her own guilt (Old King Hamlet). Hamlet s insanity can be thought of as a tragedy or misconception of reality. The death of his father had shaped the first few impressions of his own persona as well as a new experience with his new aunt. As a result of his genius insanity prince Hamlet has devised a plan to make things more clear to the audience. Hamlet s behavior strikes the audience as abnormal on several occasions. For example, Hamlet seems to be really mad when he is in front of Ophelia in disordered clothes. He behaves as if he had been loosed out of hell to speak of the horror . As the progress of the play foreshadows a significant end to his insanity that he acts upon. As the play progresses throughout, Hamlet finds ways in order to give others the impression that he has lost his sanity from his love of Polonius s daughter Ophelia. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The essence of institutional drift is a key factor of the 6th chapter. Countries such as Venice and Ancient Rome are used to describe why so many nations fail, due of the extractiveness of their governments. There was a short time when these countries had an inclusive system that was working and helping them grow. But the elite became greedy and power hungry, which set them on a downward hill to failure. Whereas, in England the opposite was happening where there was a demand for property rights and change. The elite were too afraid of losing their power to not agree and it is precisely why England is still one of the most powerful countries in the world. Extractive institutions play a huge role in encouraging the elite to dismiss up incoming technological advances that would work towards modernization and industrialization. World inequality today exists because during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries some countries were able to take advantage of the Industrial Revolution and the technologies and methods of organizations that it brought while others were unable to do so. Normally, they are classed into separate regions of power; where the executive, legislative and judicial branches of government are dependent on one another and cannot work effectively in deeply divided societies. This argument is ruled by the fact that they are 1) divisive, causing isolation between different political, cultural and religious groups. Elites are prioritised over minority working class groups and 2) inherently majoritarian, as only a single position is given, causing proportionality to become impossible. In places such as Latin America and Northern Ireland, we see the ways in which these theories have proven ineffectiveness. However, presidential systems aim to separate powers in order to protect citizens rights and deter abuse of power for good governance overall. Moreover, presidential systems, however, have quick decisiveness in resolving societal issues. Without effective separation; executive, legislative and judicial powers, would be at risk. Lastly, in divided societies; some have been forced to adopt presidential systems, but have unsuccessfully done so, due to not achieving independent judiciaries and separation of ...
