In the article by Hernandez Wolfe and McDowell (2012), the idea to shift the focus
on oppression to a focus on privilege in counseling and psychology is imperative.
After reading the article I find this useful seeing that once this shift can be made,
awareness of privilege and lack of privilege becomes essential to help elicit action for
change. Although it was mentioned that sometimes action is not always achieved, the
awareness piece is becoming increasingly important, especially in counseling

The current refugee scene is facing many complications. The challenges these
individuals face while moving to a new country has encouraged us to focus our
project on providing refugees with the assistance they need to succeed. Exploring
different areas such as connections and services through an interview process has
given us a better insight into what path to take to better accommodate refugees with
the challenges in their current country. When conducting interviews our group kept
in mind the practicality of the refugee s situation. Since for many individuals, this
time in their lives is emotional we decided to reach out to the individuals that help
refugees. When deciding who to contact for interviews we kept all our options
open, communicating with immigration officers, program managers, University of
Waterloo volunteers and teachers etc. First, we created a target list of many
individuals that we were interested to hear from. Our first point of contact was
email, with some participants they emailed their answers to us, however with
others they preferred to communicate through the phone. In the end, all of the

The biggest battles in history is, has been, and always will be between good and
evil, but where does evil originate? Is it something inherited, or is it something
learned? Anthony Burgess attempts to answer this question in his dystopian
fiction, A Clockwork Orange. The novel, written during the Cold War, is a
reflection of Burgess s viewpoint on Communism and its overall impact on
society. Burgess was appalled at the degree to which the communist state
controlled people s lives (Galens). He felt that when a man cannot choose he ceases

Many governmental and non governmental organizations argued that external
constraint like high inherited levels of foreign debt have crippled in the capacity of
low income countries to overcome poverty and that concessional lending s are not
enough. This lead to the Enhanced Heavily Indebted Poor Country (HIPC) initiative
in 1996 in collaboration with world bank to eliminate unsustainable debt in the world
s poorest and most heavily indebted countries.
A summit meeting in 1999 expanded the spectrum of eligible countries for debt relief
with higher and faster reliefs. This came to be known as Enhanced HIPC Initiative.
The aim of Enhanced HIPC initiative was to achieve a level of indebtedness that

What Is Culture? according to Webster, a way of thinking, behaving, or working that
exists in a place or organization. Every one has a paticular culture in which they
indentifiy but humankind has fully elaborated cultures unique traditions and
customize over the generations through learning and through language.
The many questions thats tend be asked, is wheather culture is learned or taught. As

The marvels behind this game helped me build up the nerve to ask him to let me
give it a try for myself. Keep in mind if you knew the addictive nature behind World
of Warcraft it took him a while to start sharing the PC we had to allow me to also
to have some play time on his account. Although once I was there is no possible to
