Romeo And Juliet Conflict Analysis
Romeo and Juliet, by William Shakespeare, tells the tale of two young lovers whose lives end in great
tragedy. What makes their story so tragic is that despite their love for one another, their families are
mortal enemies. Conflict is a central ingredient in Romeo and Juliet s sad fate. Although their love for
each other is strong, it cannot overcome the deluge of conflict that surrounds them. Ultimately they
are defeated by the conflicts of person vs person, person vs self, and person vs society. One of the
most significant conflicts in Romeo and Juliet is person vs person. Romeo Montague experiences
conflict when battling with Tybalt, Juliet s cousin. Now Tybalt, take the villain back again/ that late
thou gavest me, for Mercutio s soul/ is but a little way above our heads;/ staying for thine to keep him
company;/ either thou on I, on both, must go , (Shakespeare 3.1. 121 125). This quote demonstrates
Romeo s anger against Tybalt due to his friend Mercutio s death, which is a person vs person conflict.
Another example of a person vs person conflict Juliet and her father Capulet. Juliet experiences her
conflict with her father when she is opposing her father s choice to County Paris for her husband.
Hang thee, young baggage, disobedient wretch!/ I tell thee what: get thee to church at Thursday,/ or
never after look me in the face. This quote shows how harshly Juliet s father, Capulet, is behaving in
order to force her to marry Paris. The last conflict is

Intersectionality Reflection
The first similarities I noticed within all four of my lists is that there were multiple words that saw me
as someone who achieves, works hard for, and is resourceful about meeting goals. I also noticed that
many words related to who I was as a family member and as a student. The differences that were
noted within these lists are how some people saw me as an individual, whereas as others placed my
characteristics as part of a group. I noticed here how many different words, from different people, who
knew me in their own ways came together to describe one thing. This is where I believe
intersectionality comes to show how humans are shaped and molded by numerous interactions, not
just one. I am not a cookie cutter mold, so I will not be exactly

PART I: Read Pay What It s Worth.
Would this concept work in an upscale restaurant? Why or why not?
I must admit that upon reading the article, The Customer Experience: Pay What It s Worth, my jaw
dropped to the floor. I read it again and still had a hard time processing it. On the one hand, it appears
that Terra Bite Lounge s pricing objectives are definitely not aimed to maximize profits and yet again,
as the article clearly states, this business model generates ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
With services however, you ll perform a task for your clients in exchange for money. So if you
perform tasks for your clients at their convenience, and do it better than the next guy, and faster, then
there s no reason why your clients wouldn t feel compelled to compensate you generously, wouldn t
you agree?
Could this model be applied to other types of businesses? Give an example?
Personally, I wouldn t recommend it except for in service and non profit businesses. As already
discussed above, if you implement this model where products are involved, you run a serious risk of
going at a loss because if you do not regain your revenue, specifically the revenue that pays for the
production of the products. In a non profit setting however, once your profits are consistent with the
level of risks an organization is willing to take, then all is good. When it comes to service business,
then things get a little tricky because I don t see why any service business would want to settle for
satisfactory profits rather than maximize them, but, even if they don t maximize their profits because
of implementing this model, they really don t stand to lose that much.
Do you think this model can continue to work as our economy gets stronger (is it a model that can be
successful long term)?
Highly unlikely. I say this because since we are just recovering from a recession, most people s
mentality is still stuck

Negative Effects Of The Progressive Movement
The progressive movement occurred in attempt to counteract the industrialization period. During this
time the goal was to create a better society. In order to create a better society effects of the
industrialization needed to change. Such effect included unfair business, child labor, and negative
social effects. With the negative effects of industrialization such as terrible working conditions,
disease overtaking living areas, working long hours for little pay and children being forced to work.
The progressive movement responded by having private industries regulated and improved working
conditions and protected both workers and consumers from the corrupted government and business

Vassalage And Senmenment In The Song Of Roland, Oliver And...
The word, vassalage will have a different meaning to different people and their personalities. This will
cause people to argue about how to deal with situations and what course of action is the best option.
According to Merriam Webster Dictionary, vassalage is defined as a position of subordination or
submission to a political power. While a vassal is someone who is under the protection of someone
with authority such as a feudal lord. This person (vassal) will feel obligated to vow their loyalty to that
person in power. In The Song of Roland , Oliver and Roland both have a different definition on what
makes a great vassal. This paper will discuss both viewpoints on what makes a marvelous vassal , why
the poet used Roland and Oliver to balance out vassals, and a brief understanding of vassalage and fief
holding.
First, a vassal and fief holding is more than just someone of lower status being obedient to their ruler
and using their land to pay them. According to Britannica, some vassals were apart of their lord s court
as household knights. Although, vassals who did not live in their lord s court were required to have a
fief in order to sustain his land and have a solid holding of his service for his lord and/or king.
However, if the vassal did something to violate or break his allegiance to his lord then it could result is
a felony. This could explain why Roland refused several times to use his horn to call Charlemagne.
However, he mentioned several times that calling

Racial Profiling And Law Enforcement

Racial Profiling in Law Enforcement The topic racial profiling is an ongoing debate that is currently
being argued in America. Before being able to help understand the faults of racial profiling, one must
know what it is. According to the National Institute of Justice, racial profiling in law enforcement is
commonly defined as a practice that targets people for suspicion of crime based on their race,
ethnicity, religion or national origin ( Racial Profiling ). Racial brutality tends to be an outcome of
most racial profiling cases. Racial profiling will usually be most casually seen in traffic stops. Not
only does racial profiling make police officers hypocrites for not protecting, and causing distress to,
the society they sworn to abide to, but it also makes them breach the constitution of the United States
of America. Racial profiling is an unethical, biased, and unconstitutional practice in law enforcement.
As stated previously, one must have a good understanding of racial profiling and the topics being
further discussed. Beginning with the confusion of thinking racial profiling relates someone to being a
racist. Racially profiling someone does not make a person, in this case a police officer, a racist. The
actions the police officer takes towards profiling racially is what makes them a racist. For example,
one has to ask if the profile was based purely on racial prejudice which is having a negative attitude
toward

The Real Estate Industry Is An Industry
The real estate industry is an industry where consumers can purchase, rent, or lease real estate,
manage residential, commercial, and industrial properties, and provide other real estate related
services, including appraisals (CITATAION).
The demand for real estate is driven by economic growth, personal finance, and rates of employment,
interest rates, and access to funds. (CITATION) The return on investment of an individual relies on the
value and demand of the property, which are both influenced by the economy. Real estate investors
also depend on the amount of investment capital available. Seasoned investors have a competitive
advantage based on their financial resources. Beginning investors can compete closely by focusing on
local smaller markets within the industry
Within real estate investing there are various independent variables and services that collectively
contribute to the success and major functioning of one another. The realm of these dependencies
within the industry include property and investment management, brokerage services, leasing,
valuations, relocation services (CITATION). The entities in need of the above services include,
property owners, investors, home buyers, and renters. Real estate investors generally focus in
residential or commercial properties.
As we dig further into the Real Estate industry we will now focus on the industry itself, the factors
that influence the emerging market along with the benefits and risk associated with each

Analysis of the European Union’s Role as a Model...
Intergovernmental organizations (IGOs) are defined by Kegley (2009) as institutions created and
joined by states governments, which give them authority to make collective decisions to manage
particular problems on the global agenda (p. 163). The purpose of IGOs is to solve shared problems on
the basis of involving states interests. In other words, states utilize community of interest to balance
the international situation between neighborhoods. According to Kegley (2009), a global trend in
world politics is the spectacular growth of IGOs. The European Union, as an example of IGOs, is the
globe s best success story among the other regional IGOs playing global roles (Kegley, 2009).

Comparison of the Characters Cyrano and Christian in...
From the play Cyrano de Bergerac, two of the main characters are at odds fighting to win the heart of
the same girl. Cyrano and Christian play as competing romantic heroes in their story, both hopeless
dreamers of love and lust, both bold in their own aspects as well as incredibly insecure all at once.
They also share the quality of great loyalty, and willingness to drop anything to come to the rescue of
a friend. Physically, they are opposites; Christian is beautiful, and Cyrano thinks himself an atrocity.
Their intellectual capabilities are also at completely different ends of the spectrum; Christian is a
bumbling fool, and Cyrano can become a master at whatever task he chooses. In the aspect of poetry
and the art of words, Cyrano is a true Shakespeare, and Christian is the equivalent of a second grader
at best. These characters seem to be foils and, at the same time, they are wildly alike. One
characteristic that they most obviously share is their quality of being complete and hopeless romantics.
Her smile sees pearled perfection. She can knit grace from a twine of air. The heavens sit in every

her to his friend, placing her on the highest pedestal, and worrying that he may not be good enough for
her. Earlier, he explains that he kicked Montfleury off the stage not only

Effects Of Xenophobia In Hungary
The root of this continuing and constantly high level of xenophobia can be found in the country s
historical legacy. As Pál Nyíri (2003) points out when talking about the possible systemic sources of
xenophobia in the country, xenophobia can have economic and cultural factors, where economic the
historical factors refer to previous incidents ethnic or religious conflicts (p. 30). Neményi and Takács s
(2005) findings relate to this idea: in their study they found that historical experiences can have an
influencing effect on the extent of xenophobia (p. 51).
From a historic point of view these theories are supported in the case of Hungary, as the country has
experienced being taken over by other nations more than one time, which can explain the current fear
of being occupied and the authority being taken out of Hungarian hands again. The most important
and longest of these occupations were the Ottoman occupation that lasted 150 years and the Soviet
occupation that lasted nearly 50 years. These invasions are particularly important because the former

The Stereotypes Of Hinduism And Hinduism
Majority of the religions in the world gets stereotyped because of their abnormal customs, beliefs and
rituals. People judge religion by their narrow knowledge about their rituals and customs because they
are abnormal to them. Majority of the stereotypes are believed to be true because of their lack of
understanding. The consequence of the results is the development of stereotypes that are both negative
and positive. Two major religions of India, Hinduism and Sikhism, are often the targeted audiences of
the stereotyping of the western popular culture.
Originated and practiced primarily by the majorities in India, hinduism is the third largest religion
with more than 900 million followers around the world. Hinduism is very diverse because it is a
polytheistic religion with about 330 million gods and goddesses. Many people believe that they
believe and pray all their gods and goddesses but that is just of of the stereotype. Hinduism is also
labeled as a very catioc religion because of the fact that the religion has so many gods, therefore they
think that it is not organized very well. Although Hinduism consist of many gods, they don t
necessarily follow all of them, hence they follow only the ones that are followed by the people in a

Arsenic Pollution And Arsenic Contamination
a. Inorganic arsenic is highly toxic and a significant public health threat throughout the world. Long
term exposure to arsenic through contaminated water can lead to arsenic poisoning and a variety of
adverse health effects, including skin lesions, cancer, and respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
However, arsenic is highly abundant in the Earth s crust and is naturally present across the world in
the air, water, and soil. Arsenic integrates into the environment with natural processes including
weathering reactions and volcanic activity, and through anthropogenic processes such as mining, fossil
fuel combustion, and utilization of pesticides.

In this region, high arsenic concentrations are mostly due to the volcanic activity in the Andes
Mountains. Mining is also widespread in the region, and copper smelting specifically emits arsenic
into the atmosphere. It is difficult to measure mining s impact on arsenic water contamination because
baseline natural levels were not established in the area. Overall, however, arsenic released from
mining processes settles mainly in the atmosphere, and studies have shown that drinking water serves
as the primary path of exposure of arsenic for humans, making the naturally occurring arsenic in the
groundwater a greater threat to human health in Antofagasta. ii. The Antofagasta Region has an
extremely arid climate and low rates of precipitation, which greatly limit water availability and further
exacerbate the effects of the natural arsenic contamination. The Loa River and its tributaries of San
Pedro, Salado, and San Salvador are the only surface water sources, but this river is very saline and
home to a range of arsenic levels. These arsenic levels naturally fluctuate due to its natural volcanic
and geothermal origins, but generally, all the concentrations are above safe set limits for human

the past almost all of the work and the greater part of the responsibility were thrown upon the men.
(Hodgetts, 1995).
Taylor s scientific management focused on increasing productivity, whereas Fayol s administrative
management theory focuses on ways to make the organisation more effective and efficient. Scientific
management focused on employees as individuals and their tasks, general administrative management
theory dealt with total management organization. According to Pindur Rogers, 1995, General
management theory was a much broader theory concerned with administrative management functions
and is considered the forerunner of modern organization theory.
For Henri Fayol, management was not so much as a way of devising systems to increase productivity
but it was concerned with the integration of the different functions of the organisation such as
production, sales, finance and so on (Wren, 1994).
According to Fayol the success of an organization depended more on the administrative skills of the
manager than on

Apply: Atoms are most stable when their outermost shell is full. If their outermost shell is not full,
atoms tend to gain, lose, or share electrons until the shell fills up. While doing this, atoms react and
form chemical bonds with other atoms.
Based on this, what can you infer about the reactivity of helium and neon? They are both noble gases
so they are very resistant to a chemical reaction and don t react to other elements.
11. Think and discuss: Select the PERIODIC TABLE tab, and look at the second row, or period, of the
table. How does this row reflect the subshells of the second shell?
The second period on the periodic table consists of elements that are filling the 2nd energy level.
Activity B:
Atomic radii
Get the Gizmo ready:
On the PERIODIC TABLE tab, select Na (sodium).
Select the ELECTRON CONFIGURATION tab.
Question: How do the radii of atoms change across a period of the periodic table?
1. Predict: Positively charged protons in the nucleus of an atom are attracted to negatively charged
electrons.
How do you think the atomic radii will change as electrons are added to a shell?
As more electrons are added the distance will increase which cause atomic radius to change.

Ordinary People and Family Systems
As you read you will learn information of the 1980 movie Ordinary People, the theory of family
systems, and how they relate to one another. I will describe some basic information about the movie as
well as key points that I feel will connect to the idea of family systems. I will also touch base on
strictly the theory of Family systems for a better understand of the characters and plot of the movie.
The movie, Ordinary People, is about a family that is currently suffering the unexpected death of their
son, Buck, due to a boating accident. Shortly after, their youngest son and now only child, Conrad,
tries to committee suicide by slitting his wrists, but was saved by his father, Calvin, who found him in
the bathroom. Conrad was with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The movie basically did a metaphorical domino affect, as you see the family slowly falling down.
Like I mentioned earlier when a family gains or losses a family member it is now considered a whole
new group. Sadly for the Jarrett family they lost a son and were now dealing with adjustments of
living, in a sense, as a new family. Calvin, the father, does a very good job staying positive but still
recognizing that something horrible happened to their family and things still need to be dealt with.
Beth seems to only worry about the material things as a form of a distraction. You see her focusing on
setting the silver just perfectly; worrying about what clothes her husband is going to wear, and she
worries more about making sure that what is happening inside the family stays between the family.
Conrad is emotionally going through a lot but tries his best to keep it inside. I think the way the Jarrett
family is trying to cope with their new group is a perfect example for how the behaviors in the family
will change because of one person. One of the first things that happens is when Conrad decides to start
seeing Dr. Berger. This brings a sense of relief to Calvin, and embarrassment to Beth. In one scene,
Calvin is talking to a friend about the progress Conrad is making

Harry Potter And Grendel Research Paper
I was an only child for much of my childhood and we moved around a lot, so while I was growing up,
books were my constant and usually only friends. The books I ve selected for my bookshelf are what I
feel my progression in taste of books looks like in relation to my personal growth.
I included Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban because it s my favorite out of the entire series,
both book and movie. Harry Potter was such a huge part of my life while I was growing up. It was this
universal cultural phenomenon that I was so excited to be part of. I grew up reading the series and
being so excited every time the next movie or the next book came out and I sorely regret not attending
a Harry Potter premiere when I had the chance.
Notes from Underground and Grendel were books that were assigned reading in high school but that I
greatly enjoyed. Grendel had such an impact on me and it s still my absolute favorite book of all time.
I cite Grendel as the starting point of my foray into existentialism and philosophy in general. Grendel
has that simple yet profound language that really resonates with me. Existentialism is a Humanism
and The Sorrows of Young Werther were also books that were assigned reading but in college. I
enjoyed both very much despite their differing forms: Existentialism is a Humanism being based on a
lecture and The Sorrows of Young Werther being an epistolary novel. ... Show more content on

How Does Temperature Affect The Combustion Of A Copper...
There is no doubt that the experiment could have yielded better results, as high error percentages were
prevalent. However, this magnitude of error does have its sources. Some of the sources are given
below: 1) Around 90% of the heat from the spirit lamp did not reach the base of the tripod stand itself.
This was the main reason of error. Heat was lost very easily. A lot of heat was lost in this manner and
contributed to a lower than expected temperature change in the water. This was undoubtedly, the main
source of experimental error. 2) Although, the copper calorimeter was properly insulated, heat loss
was prevalent. The lid had a hole to allow the thermometer to be placed inside. This meant heat could
be lost in this manner as well. 3) The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is the sign of the incomplete combustion of alcohols. As a result, carbon monoxide is formed
instead of carbon dioxide. Therefore, this incomplete combustion results in low standard enthalpy of
combustion values as the reaction is not complete. 5) During calculations, the specific heat capacity of
the copper calorimeter was not included. This is wrong. The copper beaker did absorb some heat from
the spirit lamp. This should have been added onto the heat energy absorbed by the water. Due its
absence, a lot of heat was absorbed through the copper calorimeter itself, and this was not calibrated.
These sources of error could have been prevented at the first place. The random errors can be
prevented in that manner. However, the systematic errors need to be corrected as well. Therefore, the
method of the experiment can be evaluated further. 1) This experiment could have been carried out at
a place of constant temperature. 2) The calorimeter could have been insulated more. A thick cotton
wool could have been added. 3) The presence of draught shields would have helped reduce heat loss.
4) Use a digital thermometer to improve the accuracy of

Executive Summary
BrewDog is a company that has gone from strength to strength in its short time since establishment.
The company has been experiencing rapid growth over the past several years. Through extracting the
relevant information from a SWOT analysis on the company, I will look at BrewDog s strengths and
opportunities, leading to analysis of competition, barriers to entry and the threat of substitutes in
proposed future markets. Through this I will show what growth methods are not suitable for the
company, and conclude with my recommendation that simultaneous expansion of the UK and foreign
markets are the most viable growth prospects for the company. I will provide analysis and discussion
to show the validity of this. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
1.2 Opportunities
The opportunities for BrewDog are vast and include continuing to expand on its recent trend of
opening BrewDog pubs and bars across the UK, and taking the business global on a larger scale than it
currently is. The company already exports to over 30 countries worldwide (McCulloch, 2013) and
although this is of course proving profitable, the intentions of BrewDog in terms of expansion are
focussed mainly on opening new establishments. The company currently has eleven open bars in
Scotland and England, with a flag ship store in Shoreditch, London. Eleven bars is not a massive
amount, particularly looking at the success of the ones they currently have. Although expansion
abroad is no doubt a high priority, it cannot be ignored that BrewDog bars are not present in Northern
Ireland, although the beers are available there for purchase in other establishments and stores. This is
an opportunity for expansion.
The matter of global expansion of the pubs is one that BrewDog seem very interested in, and
understandably so. As mentioned, BrewDog already exports to around 30 different markets, and as
such has a customer base around the world already. An opportunity for growth is to enter the German
market, where the craft beer market is large,

Jean Louise s Settings
In Go Set a Watchman by Harper Lee, the settings play a huge role in developing the main character,
Jean Louise, and her conflict as she tries to discover who she truly is. The story is set in the mid 1950
s in Maycomb, Alabama, where Jean Louise grew up. She says about Maycomb that everything I
learned about human decency I learned here (178). This shows how Maycomb molded her into the
person she is. At the time of the story, however, she is living in New York City. It is the total opposite
of Maycomb, for it is a big city with a lot more diversity and acceptance of different races. When
asked about how she views all the different races she sees in New York City, she says, You aren t
aware of them. You work with them, eat by and with them, ride the buses with them, and you aren t
aware of them unless you want to be (151). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One woman in Maycomb even said, I wouldn t want to get mixed up with all those Italians and Puerto
Ricans. In a drugstore one day I looked around and there was a Negro woman eating her dinner right
next to me, right next to me (Lee 181). This shows how Maycomb has changed since she was a little
girl in Maycomb and how different it is from New York City. When she returns to Maycomb, she is
forced to stand up for herself and what she knows is right because no one else believes the same thing.
Even her father has fallen into the trap of feeling like he is superior to African Americans despite the
fact that when Jean Louise was growing up, he was known for his Integrity, humor, and patience and
for being fair and equal (114). Because the town has become so racist and segregated, everyone is
becoming involved, even the most unsuspecting

Class In Canterbury Tales
In the 14th century, class distinction was of great importance. The class to which one belonged
determined the clothes one was allowed to wear, the color of that clothing and even behavior. In
Geoffrey Chaucer s General Prologue and The Canterbury Tales , we can find any number of
characters with these behavior distinctions if we examine them. The Knight, for example, is described
as a worthy man of trouthe and honour, freedom and curtesie (I, 46). He is of a noble rank, and
therefore his behavior is one of good reputation (honour). Conversely, Both the descriptions of the
Reeve and the Miller in the General Prologue are quite unflattering; their verbal cutting into each
other s tales demonstrates the stereotypical churlish ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The hag and the Knight, newly man and wife, are lying in bed when the hag asks her husband what
she has done wrong that he walweth and he turneth to and fro (III, 1085). His response is that he acts
that way because she is so loathsome and of such low lineage; this prompts her long speech on
gentilesse. She tells her husband that gentilesse is not determined by one s birth, descended out of old
richesse (1110), but is the title given to one who is almost always virtuous and tries to do as many
good deeds as he or she can (1113 15). Examining Chaucer from a historical perspective in Chaucer
and Gentility, Nigel Saul states: Chaucer s Avoidance of economic criteria to define gentility was
wholly in accord with the contemporary outlook. Gentility was viewed at the time as a quality, and
was accordingly assessed in qualitative terms (49). In lines 1117 24, the hag then explains to the
Knight that the quality of gentilesse can come only from God. Ancestors cannot hand down their
virtuous character that made others call them gentil men (1123); they can only give their descendants
the earthly status. Chaucer here demonstrates the difference between nobility and gentilesse. He
appears to comment that there is earthly gentilesse and spiritual gentilesse gentility that is obtained by
birth and gentility that is obtained through a life of generosity and steadfast faith in God.
Calling his wife loathsome and of low lineage, the

will bring lots of benefits to the USA economy. In my opinion, Bristol Bay mine development should
be continued. First, the Bristol Bay mine would be the biggest mine in North America. More
specifically, the ore body contains 80 billion pounds of copper, 107 million ounces of gold, and 5.6
billion pounds of molybdenum. This might be the last mining site in the world with huge deposit.

Star Wars Snoke Theory
Ever since the release of its first film in 1977, Star Wars stands as one of the most important works in
cinema history and has been a significant part of pop culture. At the time when Disney bought
Lucasfilm, fans were delighted to hear the announcement of a new Star Wars trilogy. The first film of
the new trilogy titled Star Wars: The Force Awakens was released in 2015 and left fans with many
unanswered questions, especially about the true identity of a major antagonist. Being known only as
Snoke, the film reveals him as the supreme leader of a military faction called the First Order. With
little screen time and appearing only as a hologram, the true identity of Snoke is shrouded in mystery.
There have been many theories regarding who he could really be. A popular theory I strongly support
is that Snoke is the former master of Emperor Palpatine, the antagonist from the previous trilogies. As
revealed in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, Palpatine s master was known as Darth Plagueis. Plagueis
was a Sith Lord who had the uncanny ability to use the force to create life and bring people back from
the dead but was eventually betrayed and killed by Palpatine. Snoke is Plagueis because Snoke

killing Plagueis. Palpatine must have used his signature force lightning at full power and struck him
down with his lightsaber, leaving him dead and severely disfigured. Plagueis was known for cheating

  • 4. Romeo And Juliet Conflict Analysis Romeo and Juliet, by William Shakespeare, tells the tale of two young lovers whose lives end in great tragedy. What makes their story so tragic is that despite their love for one another, their families are mortal enemies. Conflict is a central ingredient in Romeo and Juliet s sad fate. Although their love for each other is strong, it cannot overcome the deluge of conflict that surrounds them. Ultimately they are defeated by the conflicts of person vs person, person vs self, and person vs society. One of the most significant conflicts in Romeo and Juliet is person vs person. Romeo Montague experiences conflict when battling with Tybalt, Juliet s cousin. Now Tybalt, take the villain back again/ that late thou gavest me, for Mercutio s soul/ is but a little way above our heads;/ staying for thine to keep him company;/ either thou on I, on both, must go , (Shakespeare 3.1. 121 125). This quote demonstrates Romeo s anger against Tybalt due to his friend Mercutio s death, which is a person vs person conflict. Another example of a person vs person conflict Juliet and her father Capulet. Juliet experiences her conflict with her father when she is opposing her father s choice to County Paris for her husband. Hang thee, young baggage, disobedient wretch!/ I tell thee what: get thee to church at Thursday,/ or never after look me in the face. This quote shows how harshly Juliet s father, Capulet, is behaving in order to force her to marry Paris. The last conflict is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Intersectionality Reflection The first similarities I noticed within all four of my lists is that there were multiple words that saw me as someone who achieves, works hard for, and is resourceful about meeting goals. I also noticed that many words related to who I was as a family member and as a student. The differences that were noted within these lists are how some people saw me as an individual, whereas as others placed my characteristics as part of a group. I noticed here how many different words, from different people, who knew me in their own ways came together to describe one thing. This is where I believe intersectionality comes to show how humans are shaped and molded by numerous interactions, not just one. I am not a cookie cutter mold, so I will not be exactly ... Would this concept work in an upscale restaurant? Why or why not? I must admit that upon reading the article, The Customer Experience: Pay What It s Worth, my jaw dropped to the floor. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... With services however, you ll perform a task for your clients in exchange for money. So if you perform tasks for your clients at their convenience, and do it better than the next guy, and faster, then there s no reason why your clients wouldn t feel compelled to compensate you generously, wouldn t you agree? Could this model be applied to other types of businesses? Give an example? Personally, I wouldn t recommend it except for in service and non profit businesses. As already discussed above, if you implement this model where products are involved, you run a serious risk of going at a loss because if you do not regain your revenue, specifically the revenue that pays for the production of the products. In a non profit setting however, once your profits are consistent with the level of risks an organization is willing to take, then all is good. When it comes to service business, then things get a little tricky because I don t see why any service business would want to settle for satisfactory profits rather than maximize them, but, even if they don t maximize their profits because of implementing this model, they really don t stand to lose that much. Do you think this model can continue to work as our economy gets stronger (is it a model that can be successful long term)? Highly unlikely. I say this because since we are just recovering from a recession, most people s mentality is still stuck ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 8. Vassalage And Senmenment In The Song Of Roland, Oliver And... The word, vassalage will have a different meaning to different people and their personalities. This will cause people to argue about how to deal with situations and what course of action is the best option. According to Merriam Webster Dictionary, vassalage is defined as a position of subordination or submission to a political power. While a vassal is someone who is under the protection of someone with authority such as a feudal lord. This person (vassal) will feel obligated to vow their loyalty to that person in power. In The Song of Roland , Oliver and Roland both have a different definition on what makes a great vassal. This paper will discuss both viewpoints on what makes a marvelous vassal , why the poet used Roland and Oliver to balance out vassals, and a brief understanding of vassalage and fief holding. First, a vassal and fief holding is more than just someone of lower status being obedient to their ruler and using their land to pay them. According to Britannica, some vassals were apart of their lord s court as household knights. Although, vassals who did not live in their lord s court were required to have a fief in order to sustain his land and have a solid holding of his service for his lord and/or king. However, if the vassal did something to violate or break his allegiance to his lord then it could result is a felony. • 9. Racial Profiling And Law Enforcement Lizette Cervantes Mr. Allman 1st Period 1 March 2015 Racial Profiling in Law Enforcement The topic racial profiling is an ongoing debate that is currently being argued in America. Before being able to help understand the faults of racial profiling, one must know what it is. According to the National Institute of Justice, racial profiling in law enforcement is commonly defined as a practice that targets people for suspicion of crime based on their race, ethnicity, religion or national origin ( Racial Profiling ). Racial brutality tends to be an outcome of most racial profiling cases. Racial profiling will usually be most casually seen in traffic stops. Not only does racial profiling make police officers hypocrites for not protecting, and causing distress to, the society they sworn to abide to, but it also makes them breach the constitution of the United States of America. Racial profiling is an unethical, biased, and unconstitutional practice in law enforcement. As stated previously, one must have a good understanding of racial profiling and the topics being further discussed. Beginning with the confusion of thinking racial profiling relates someone to being a racist. Racially profiling someone does not make a person, in this case a police officer, a racist. The actions the police officer takes towards profiling racially is what makes them a racist. For example, one has to ask if the profile was based purely on racial prejudice which is having a negative attitude toward ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Intergovernmental organizations (IGOs) are defined by Kegley (2009) as institutions created and joined by states governments, which give them authority to make collective decisions to manage particular problems on the global agenda (p. 163). • 14. Comparison of the Characters Cyrano and Christian in... From the play Cyrano de Bergerac, two of the main characters are at odds fighting to win the heart of the same girl. Cyrano and Christian play as competing romantic heroes in their story, both hopeless dreamers of love and lust, both bold in their own aspects as well as incredibly insecure all at once. They also share the quality of great loyalty, and willingness to drop anything to come to the rescue of a friend. Physically, they are opposites; Christian is beautiful, and Cyrano thinks himself an atrocity. Their intellectual capabilities are also at completely different ends of the spectrum; Christian is a bumbling fool, and Cyrano can become a master at whatever task he chooses. In the aspect of poetry and the art of words, Cyrano is a true Shakespeare, and Christian is the equivalent of a second grader at best. These characters seem to be foils and, at the same time, they are wildly alike. One characteristic that they most obviously share is their quality of being complete and hopeless romantics. Her smile sees pearled perfection. She can knit grace from a twine of air. The heavens sit in every gesture. Of divinities she s most divine (Rostand 29). Cyrano is describing Roxane, the woman with whom he is in love, as if she is an angel, a goddess, some sort of immortal perfection. Neményi and Takács s (2005) findings relate to this idea: in their study they found that historical experiences can have an influencing effect on the extent of xenophobia (p. 51). From a historic point of view these theories are supported in the case of Hungary, as the country has experienced being taken over by other nations more than one time, which can explain the current fear of being occupied and the authority being taken out of Hungarian hands again. The most important and longest of these occupations were the Ottoman occupation that lasted 150 years and the Soviet occupation that lasted nearly 50 years. This was the main reason of error. Heat was lost very easily. A lot of heat was lost in this manner and contributed to a lower than expected temperature change in the water. She tells her husband that gentilesse is not determined by one s birth, descended out of old richesse (1110), but is the title given to one who is almost always virtuous and tries to do as many good deeds as he or she can (1113 15). Examining Chaucer from a historical perspective in Chaucer and Gentility, Nigel Saul states: Chaucer s Avoidance of economic criteria to define gentility was wholly in accord with the contemporary outlook. Gentility was viewed at the time as a quality, and was accordingly assessed in qualitative terms (49). In lines 1117 24, the hag then explains to the Knight that the quality of gentilesse can come only from God. Ancestors cannot hand down their virtuous character that made others call them gentil men (1123); they can only give their descendants the earthly status. At the time when Disney bought Lucasfilm, fans were delighted to hear the announcement of a new Star Wars trilogy. The first film of the new trilogy titled Star Wars: The Force Awakens was released in 2015 and left fans with many unanswered questions, especially about the true identity of a major antagonist. As revealed in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, Palpatine s master was known as Darth Plagueis. Plagueis was a Sith Lord who had the uncanny ability to use the force to create life and bring people back from the dead but was eventually betrayed and killed by Palpatine. Snoke is Plagueis because Snoke appears disfigured, he could return in the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Palpatine must have used his signature force lightning at full power and struck him down with his lightsaber, leaving him dead and severely disfigured. Plagueis was known for cheating death; therefore, he must have found a way to revive himself. Snoke s damaged body seems to be someone who is in the process of bringing himself back from the ...
