2.2 Microphone Unit
The microphone was implemented to allow the user to transmit speaker s voice as analog voice
signal from the audio socket. The analog voice signal captured by the microphone is then needed to
pass through an amplifier circuit. The amplitude of this voice signal can be amplified from
millivolts to volts so that the signal becomes easier to for us work with in following
implementations. As figure 2 shown, this amplifier circuit is built by firstly connecting the
microphone input through the positive input terminal of the LM358 chip. Secondly, a feedback
loop is built through the output and negative terminal. Then the analog voice signal captured by the
microphone is, therefore, amplified.

A geothermal well was built beneath the Park Stradley, Seibert, and Smith Steeb dorms on south

Known as one of the oldest of the 30 plus Master of Fine Arts (MFA) dance programs, the
Department of Dance presented Confluence on Feb. 25, 26 and 27 at 8 p.m. and Feb. 28 at 2:30
p.m. at Mather Dance Center. The concert included five works in total: three group works
choreographed by MFA candidates Ziying Cui and Yidi Lin, a duet choreographed by the chair of
the department, Karen Potter, and a solo created by CWRU alumni Christopher Bell. Compared
with other three dance performances, зҐ rite зҐ by Ziying Cui and Untitled Chopin Solo by

Invictus Rhetorical Analysis Essay A time of difficulties always comes and goes and it has always
been known to stay strong during those times. This, in many ways, connects to countless people,
including great writers who often describe their difficult times through acting or other forms of
writing. William Ernest Henleywas an author who used his challenges to write a poem. This was a
dramatic but motivational poem that heavily used rhetorical devices to describe how he
managed through his darkest times. William Ernest Henley took use of personification,
connotation, and alliteration in the poem Invictus to prove that anyone can overcome obstacles
by staying strong and believing in themselves. For a start, Henley gave human like
characteristics to words so he could, in a way, visually show that the mind should always remain
strong in difficult times by using personification. He dramatically describes that sometimes not
everything goes accordingly as he says, In the fell clutch of circumstance (5). Here, the author
makes circumstance seem evil or bad. The action that he characterized circumstance of doing
expresses that challenges can come at the worst times. Even more, he is describing that
circumstance has a fell clutch implying that he went through a horribly long and dark period.
This gives the reader a perspective that occasionally things do not always go their way. It
connects to the theme that difficult times are always thrown at one s way and that they may not
always be prepared for the challenging part of those times. Henley took advantage of
personification once again to relate to his theme. Henley shows his courage through his dark
times by saying, And yet the menace of the years/Finds, and shall find, me unafraid. (11 12) Here,
Henley makes the word year seem mean or cruel. He does this by describing that it is a menace
otherwise implying that it is harsh or cruel. By including that it searches for him, he also indicates
that he ran into difficult times often, but stays optimistic by saying that it found him unafraid. This
makes the reader aware that even though challenges always come up, they should always be

Nowadays, we can easily see people sitting around each other but only staring at their smartphone
without any conversation. Smartphones of today have so many features that people can hardly

addiction. Obviously, people have different opinion regarding smartphone addiction where some
people think it is a problem whereas some might not. Despite of all the facts and opinion we
question ourselves are we even addicted to smartphone? Do we reach for our smartphone first thing

the purpose of the commercial is to persuade people to stop smartphone addiction that is dangerous
and I think that they did an excellent job presenting their idea.

style of presentation to convey their message on creating awareness to people to look up and stop
smartphone addiction. The main character who is extremely addicted to his smartphone acted as
Jim Carrey to exaggerate how insanely people addicted to their smartphone. The commercial starts
by introducing the him and followed by some unfortunate event which is caused by his negligence
