The culture that I belong to is Christianity. What is Christianity? Well it is Abrahamic
monotheistic religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ as presented in the New
Testament. Every Sunday or every other Sunday my family and I go to church, and come back to

In 2010, through a partnership with Richmond law enforcement, it was estimated that there were 17

Start of March, Connemara by Eamon Grennan is a poem which I thought introduces a persona
who wonders how life is to be lived. He sees these birds and watches them disappear into the
horizon freely and passionately. But after reading it again, I realized that it might not be about
that, rather, it was about how the persona wonders how these birds allow themselves to follow
the predestined path life made for them. The author writing style connects nature to
commitments. In the first stanza of the poem, we see the persona asking how the seagulls found
the perfect angle in the strong wind and adapted to it. The wind could possibly symbolize life,
and the persona asks himself how these birds let themselves go with the flow when they know it ll

life, where it is advantageous to use effective and more efficient routes to overcome problems. I
find that maths can be embedded into many aspects of life, e.g. using the Pythagoras theorem to aid
in designing a room. Also, in biology, to find the variation in the distribution of a species, you can
use standard deviation.
Maths encourages me to delve into divergent thinking. It thrills me that there is always more to
learn and the knowledge is never capped. Maths to me has acted as a mechanism for calming my
busy mind. For example, some people enjoy the tranquillity of music, whereas my music is maths.
Achieving the correct answer whenever I complete a maths question brings me great satisfaction,
which further increases my motivation towards further learning. I have always thought that once
you find that numbers are easy to work with, you develop an appetite to learn more about maths
through practice it will stick in your mind forever.
Chemistry works hand in hand with maths, it cannot work without it.
