many theories on hegemony in American society. Dr. Noam Chomsky, a preeminent authority in 20th
century political philosophy, discusses how news media is a tool for disseminating propaganda
provided by the powerful elite in his book Manufacturing Consent. He discusses how American mass
media is a tool of democracy to placate the majority of the populous and encourage compliance

would come back in a pattern while others would only make an appearance once. There was also a lot
of variety in the volume or dynamic of the piece which gave a nice variety to it. Additionally several
different instruments were used which gave several different timbres. The tempo also varied a lot
within the piece. Going from fast to slow and vice versa, and with different accelerations which gave
it a nice feel. The overall rhythm of the piece was nice and polyphonic. This piece was made in the

treatment courts, there has been countless numbers of offenders who have successfully completed the
program and fought their way past drug abuse. There are also a handful of offenders who may have
struggled to change their drug abuse or addiction, and fell short of completing the program. In this
second part of my report, I will be determining whether drug treatment court programs actually work.
To accomplish this task, I will be reviewing three empirical studies to evaluate how effective the
program truly is. The first empirical study that I will be reviewing is the Orange County Juvenile Drug
Court (OCJDC) located in Orange County, California between 1999 and 2006 (Fradella, Fischer,
Kleinpeter, Koob, 2009). This study consists of 232 teenagers (164 males and 68 females) with the age
of these individuals ranging between 12 and 17 years (Fradella et al., 2009). In this study, researchers
attempt to understand why Latino teenagers were graduating from drug treatment court (DTC) at a
much lower rate than rest of the teenagers at the same institution (Fradella et al., 2009). In the Orange
County Juvenile Drug Court, 97% of the offenders are Latino or Caucasian (Fradella et al., 2009).

All other men between 18 and 25 are legally required to register with the SSS within 30 days of
reaching eligibility. Men can register via mail, over the Internet, at the post office or with a high
school Selective Service Registrar. The SSS keeps the names and addresses of all registered men on
file so they can be called up easily if the draft is reinstated. Most U.S. citizens become eligible on their

The democratic party relates the issue of abortion in a court case called Roe verse Wade. In this court
case, the US Supreme Court affirmed the legality of a woman s right to have an abortion under the
14th amendment. As one can see, depending on how you interpret the 14th amendment determines the
outcome of legality. Since the Supreme Court is the final arbiter of the law, the states must grant the
right to abortion, regardless of being a red state or not. Another democratic view on abortion is that a
woman should never have to fear the ability to pay for an abortion. In the democratic platform for
America in 2004 it stated, we stand proudly for a woman s right to choose, consistent with Roe v.

One of the main reasons that the Bolsheviks gained support in 1917 was due to the fact that Lenin
rejected any compromise with the propertied classes, and insisted that the power should be held by the
proletariat and the peasants, which was the majority of Russia s population. Another reason for the
Bolshevik s growing support was because the Mensheviks and Social Revolutionaries continued to
support the Provisional Government. The Provisional Government had failed to enact land reforms
demanded by the peasantry and had failed to keep the military from falling apart. As previously
mentioned, the Bolsheviks had harnessed the revolutionary mood of the workers and garrison soldiers
in order to successfully go through with the October Revolution (Connor 1). The Petrograd Soviets
and the Red Guards also supported the overthrow of the Provisional Government as they did not feel it

Policy Brief Abstract Over the last decade, there has been a rapid increase in the number of private
residential treatment facilities for youth in the United States. These private residential treatment
facilities are often referred to as specialty programs and include the following: emotional growth
