Women that did work outside of the home were not taken seriously being seen as less intelligent
than men and less able to cope with stress (Harrington 16). They were physically and

Women were told if they worked, they would be taking jobs away from men that needed to
support their families, but in reality most women who worked did so to support their families as

wasn t typical for a women to work, it was said the poor and single women should work until

Collier and James Lincoln Collier, you get a deep look into the life of an African American slave
child named Daniel Arabus. Daniel wishes to complete his father s goal of buying himself and his
mother s freedom, so he ends up risking his whole life for soldiers notes that could ultimately be
worth absolutely nothing. Though the events are fictionalized, this book shows the readers what
life would ve been like after the American Revolution. The story transpires in early May of 1787 on
a plantation in Stratford, Connecticut. Taking place not long after the American Revolution, the

This past Thursday, I went to see a performance of Godspell (2012 revised version) at Noblesville
High School. This production was directed by Deborah T. Wittstein and Shantel Morris on Nov.
19th. Originally conceived and directed by John Michael Tebelak and featuring a tuneful score
by Stephen Schwartz, Godspell was first performed 40 years ago, just a few years ago, October
13, 2011, the revised version came out. The revival had mixed reviews from critics, but overall a
cheery and spirited atmosphere that wowed the audience with its catchy tunes and current comedic
jokes. The Noblesville High school Performing Arts put on this production and had the same

displayed high spirits through her use of inflection and volume, all while keeping an illusion of
