Cocktails
Cocktail is a drink composed of at least two ingredients, which have been shaken or stirred
together, and served either as a tall or short drink. Cocktails usually contain three distinct
types of ingredients
1. Base
2.Body
3. Modifying, Smoothening or Aromatic agent
Mock tails
Mock tail is a drink composed of at least two or more non alcoholic ingredients, which
have been shaken or stirred together, and served either as a tall or short drink.

5. Types of Cocktails & Mocktails
It may also need a certain third type as an additional special flavoring or coloring
agent. Cocktails are shaken, blended, built or stirred.
a) Shaken Cocktail
The ingredients are placed in a shaker with ice and shaken. It is done in a Boston
shaker/cocktail shaker. The ice should not maintain in contact with cocktail for long as it
will get diluted.
b) Stirred Cocktail
The ingredients are placed in a mixing glass with ice and stirred to impart the chillness to
the drink and strained into a cocktail glass.
c) Built up Cocktail
These are placed layer by layer in a glass in the order of density such that the ingredients do
not mix. They have great eye appeal.
d) Blended Cocktail
The ingredients are placed in a blender and blended together with ice and poured into a
cocktail glass.

6. Bikini
60 ml vodka
½ lemon juice
15ml white rum
15ml milk
01-teaspoon sugar
Crushed ice.
Pour vodka, lemon juice, white rum, milk and sugar over ice in a shaker. Shake well
and strain it in to a cocktail glass.

7. Strawberry fantasy
60ml gin
60ml coconut cream
03 fresh strawberries
Crushed ice
Mix gin, coconut cream, 02 strawberries and plenty of
crushed ice in a blender.
Pour it into a cocktail glass and decorate it with remaining
strawberry. Cut into a fan and serve with short straws.

8. Strawberry Daiquiri
60ml white rum
20 ml lemon or limejuice
A teaspoon of caster sugar
Crushed ice
1 ½ slices of lemon
Strawberry crush
Mix rum lemon or limejuice and sugar with crushed iceand

9. Pina colada
Crushed ice
60ml white rum
45 ml pineapple juice
45 ml coconut milk
15 ml cream
A cherry
A piece of pineapple
01 hollowed out green coconut
Combine ice with rum, pineapple juice, coconut milk and cream

10. Sangria
02 tablespoons caster sugar
juice of one lemon
juice of one orange
one orange thinly sliced
one lemon thinly sliced
ice cubes
one bottle of red wine chilled.
Apple, grapes
Soak the chopped fruits in wine

11. Shirley temple
15ml rose syrup
15ml ginger syrup
soda
Stir and serve chilled in Champagne flute

12. Mickey mousse
One Cola
ice cubes
one scoop of vanilla ice cream
whipped cream
02 maraschino cherries.
Pour cola over ice in tall glass. Add ice cream. Top with
whipped cream and garnish with cherries. Serve with straws and
long handled spoon.

13. Cool passion
90 ml orange juice
90ml pineapple juice
crushed ice and khus syrup
pineapple slice
maraschino cherry
Pour khus syrup in tall glass, blend orange, pineapple
juice and crushed ice, strain into glass.Served chilled
garnish with pineapple slice and maraschino cherry

14. Dudh Sagar
45 ml White Rum
90 ml coconut water
15 ml cream
15 ml lemon juice
10 ml sugar syrup
ice cubes
Blend together and float dark rum.
Garnish: - coconut and cherry
Glass: - Hi ball

15. Colva Kiss
45ml Gin
15 ml anise liqueur
15 ml lemon juice
03 spring mint
crushed ice.
Shake gin, anise liqueur, lemon juice and ice.
Garnish: - lemon slice, spring mint.
Glass: - cocktail

16. Goan honeymoon
30ml coconut fenny
15-lemon juice
10 ml ginger syrup topped with soda
Pour coconut fenny, lemon juice, ginger syrup and crushed ice in fancy glass top it up
with soda water.
Garnish: - lemon slice and cherry
Glass: - Fancy wine glass

17. Viva carnival
45ml cashew fenny
60ml orange juice
15 ml rose syrup
ice cubes
Pour rose syrup, crushed ice; shake cashew fenny and orange juice,
Garnish: - orange slice
