This document discusses how engineers can drive impact by becoming more agile in their work. It proposes a 6-step process: 1) get disciplined in agile execution; 2) find and protect slack for exploration; 3) adopt a scientific approach; 4) take time to empathize; 5) become a disciplined explorer; and 6) take engineering to scale. The goal is to maximize value delivery while recognizing uncertainty. Engineers are encouraged to solve social and environmental problems using an adaptive, learning-based approach.
