2. ISLAM is not a new religion, but the same truth
that God revealed through all His prophets to
every people. For a fifth of the world's population,
Islam is both a religion and a complete way of
life. Muslims follow a religion of peace, mercy,
and forgiveness, and the majority have nothing to
do with the extremely grave events which have
come to be associated with their faith.
3. One billion people from a vast range of races,
nationalities and cultures across the
globe from the southern Philippines to Nigeria -- are
united by their common Islamic
faith. About 18% live in the Arab world; the world's largest
Muslim community is in
Indonesia; substantial parts of Asia and most of Africa are
Muslim, while significant
minorities are to be found in the Soviet Union, China,
North and South America, and
Europe.
4. Muslims believe in One Unique, Incomparable
God; in the Angels created by Him; in
the prophets through whom His revelations were
brought to mankind; in the Day of
Judgment and individual accountability for
actions; in God's complete authority over
human destiny and in life after death.
5. Muslims believe in a chain of prophets starting
with Adam and including Noah, Abraham,
Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Job, Moses,
Aaron, David, Solomon, Elias, Jonah, John the
Baptist, and Jesus, peace be upon
them. But God's final message to man, a
reconfirmation of the eternal message and a
summing-up of all that has gone before was
revealed to the Prophet Muhammad
through Gabriel.
6. Simply by saying with conviction, “La ilaha illa Allah,
Muhammad rasoolu Allah” one converts to Islam and
becomes a Muslim , This saying means “There is no
true god (deity) but God (Allah),and Muhammad is the
Messenger (Prophet) of God.” The first part, “There is
no true god but God,” means that none has the right to be
worshipped but God alone, and that God has neither
partner nor son. By this declaration the believer
announces his or her faith in all God's
messengers, and the scriptures they brought.
7. The Arabic word ‘ISLAM’ simply means
'submission', and derives from a word meaning
'peace'. In a religious context it means complete
submission to the will of God.
Mohammedanism' is thus a misnomer because it
suggests that Muslims worship
Muhammad rather than God. 'Allah' is the Arabic
name for God, which is used by
Arab Muslims and Christians alike.
8. Terrorism, the systematic use of violence to
create a general climate of fear in
a population and thereby to bring about a
particular political objective. Terrorism has been
practiced by political organizations with both
rightist and leftist objectives, by nationalistic and
religious groups, by revolutionaries, and even by
state institutions such as armies, intelligence
services, and police.
9. Terrorism is different from regular crime
because of its strong political properties
The definition of terrorism can vary from
people to people due to the differences in
standpoint
One person’s terrorist can be another’s
fighter
10. Oppression or perception thereof
Limited ability to fight back using conventional and/or
peaceful methods
Conflict seen as moral and necessary, even at the
expense of so-called innocent victims
Religious or ideological motivation
11. Extreme groups who seek to resolve
specific issues, rather than affect more
widespread political change.
These groups occupy the extreme
fringes of animal rights, pro-life,
environmental, antinuclear and other
political and social movements.
12.
13. Why has terrorism become more violent
and indiscriminate?
How much liberty should be given-up to
reduce threat of terrorism?
Is terrorism (without WMD) really a strong
threat?
What could be done to dispel the notion that
the USA or other western states are
threats? Would this be enough?
14. Islam defines Jihad as striving and struggling for
improvement as well as fighting back to defend one's
self, honor, assets and homeland. Also, Jihad is
interpreted as the struggle against evil, internal or
external of a person or a society.
15. Learn, teach, and practice Islam in all aspects of one's
life at all times to reach the highest and best education
in order to benefit oneself, family and society.
Be a messenger of Islam everywhere, in every behavior
and action.
Respond to the call for Jihad with money, effort, wisdom
and life; yet, never fight a Muslim brother, a Muslim
country, or a non-Muslim society that respects its
treaties and harbors no aggressive designs against
Islam or Muslims.
16. This AltHist is a live timline about what would happen if when the
WTC got destroyed, and when the USA declared the War on
Terrorism, the Arab countries declared a Jihad against the US and its
allies, and the Buddhist countries.
17. differences between Jihad and terrorism
1. Jihad is limited to combatants while terrorism
involves indiscriminate killing of civilians
2. Jihad, when the need arises, is declared openly,
while terrorism is committed secretly.
3. Jihad is bound by strict rules of Islamic manners
while terrorism is not bound by any rules
18. Terrorists are not Muslims, they think they are.
They fight in the name of Islam when they have
yet to see the beauty of it.
Suicide under any pretext is not condoned as
Jihad in Islam.
Converting people to Islam by force or coercion
is never Jihad but a crime, punishable by law.
There is a difference between a Muslim terrorist
and a Muslim that is not a terrorist.
19. Terrorism
The unlawful use or threatened use of force or
violence by a person or an organised group
against people property with the intention of
intimidating societies or governments, often for
ideological or politics reasons.
20. Islam VS Terrorism
• islam : love, mercy and peace.
• Terrorism is the opposite of islam
• Terrorists are disbelievers

22. CONCLUSION
• Throughout my research I understood that one
person cannot represent his race, religion or the
society he lives in.
• But most people arent like this that’s why there
are so many stereotypes about different races
and religions.
