two climatic regimes: a dry
subtropical climate in the north
and a dry tropical climate in the
south

 The sky is cloudless & clear.
 Days are hot & the temperature
may soar as high as 50 degrees
 The night may be freezing cold
with temperatures nearing zero

 The people here are mainly tribes such as the
Bedouins and tauregs who rear livestock such as
goat, sheep, camels and horsers.
 These animals provide them with milk, hides
from wich they make leather for belts, slippers
wáter bottles ; hair is used for mats, carpets,
clothes & blankets
 They grow crops like rice, wheat, barley & beans
 They wear heavy robes as protection against
dust storms & hot winds
