2. 5 Things…
• Write down the names of 5
people you think are
successful.
• Write down the reasons you
think they are a success?
• Write down 5 ways someone
could be judged successful?
• Write down 5 qualities that will
help people be a success.
3. Your Opinion
Matters…
• For each of these questions,
YOU have been making
decisions.
• For each of these questions,
YOU have been writing YOUR
point of view.
• This is exactly what you have to
do to produce a successful
persuasive piece for an
audience.
4. Task:
What does success
mean to you?
• You are to investigate and
research success, then decide
on an effective means of
sharing what you have found
with an audience.
5. Planning Help
• Define success... tell the reader
what you think success is;
• Give examples of people you
think have been successful, and
try to explain why they have
been successful in your eyes;
• Write about the qualities that
you think bring success... and try
to give suggestions for how
others can be successful;
• Finish off by summing up your
main points and, if possible, try
to end by challenging the
audience to be a success.
6. Showing Off...
• The task requires you to show
you have an idea about what
success is, how it can be
achieved, and should finish by
encouraging others to be a
success.
• How you do this, is entirely up
to you!
• Honest...
• I mean it... look at the next slide
to see what I mean!
7. Possible
Submissions...
• essay
• video
• podcast
• photographic exhibition
• painting
• song
• play
• poetry
• sculpture
• news repost
• radio request show
• or just about anything else you
can think of...
8. But Remember...
• You need to be able to justify
and explain ALL the decisions
you have made in creating the
artefact... and;
•I want you to blow
my socks off!
