Тук няма да коментираме горните причини да се занимаваме с ЕЕ и ВЕИ… Аз и без това не приемам голяма част от тях…
В периода 2006-2013 г.:
ЕС – 10% намаление на енергийното потребление и продължава да пада през 2014 г.
САЩ – 2% намаление на енергийното потребление; 2104 г. се връща на нивото от 2006-та
През 1850 г. замърсяването на водата е бил водещ рисков фактор заедно със замърсяването на въздуха в Западна Европа и САЩ!
Локалното замърсяване на въздуха с фини прахови частици е най-значимият екологичен рисков фактор, който води до заболеваемост и смъртност както на глобално ниво (над 7 милиона жертви годишно!), така и в България (18 хиляди годишно!).
Замърсяването на въздуха в домовете е водещият рисков фактор за деца под 5 години в страната!
Катастрофалната авария в Чернобилската АЕЦ убива общо 64 души, с висока степен на сигурност допринася за смъртта на още 4 000 и може би има връзка с още 25 000 жертви на рак в цяла Европа през изминалите 30 и следващите 30 г. Е, в България си ги опушваме тези бройки за две лета и една зима между тях!
Разходи на Оперативните програми и ПУДООС в периода 2007-2013 г.… за опазване на въздуха? –> Нула!!!
Почти всички превишения се случват през зимата!
Increasing the air tightness of dwellings (without compensatory purpose-provided ventilation) increased mean indoor radon concentrations by an estimated 56.6%, from 21.2 becquerels per cubic metre (Bq/m3) to 33.2 Bq/m3. After the lag in lung cancer onset, this would result in an additional annual burden of 4700 life years lost and (at peak) 278 deaths. The increases in radon levels for the millions of homes that would contribute most of the additional burden are below the threshold at which radon remediation measures are cost effective. Fitting extraction fans and trickle ventilators to restore ventilation will help offset the additional burden but only if the ventilation related energy efficiency gains are lost. Mechanical ventilation systems with heat recovery may lower radon levels and the risk of cancer while maintaining the advantage of energy efficiency for the most airtight dwellings but there is potential for a major adverse impact on health if such systems fail.
A 2013 study suggested similar risks in retrofitted buildings from mould growth and “sick building syndrome”, where occupants appear to experience health issues from occupancy in a building. By trapping humidity inside the building, energy efficiency retrofits could unintentionally lead to dangerous mould growth. In turn, people in these buildings would be more prone to chronic fatigue, irritated lungs, and watery eyes.

BaP is a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) and is found in fine PM. Its origin is the incomplete combustion of various fuels. The main sources of BaP in Europe are domestic home-heating, in
particular wood- and coal-burning, waste-burning, coke and steel production, and road traffic. Other sources include outdoor fires and rubber-tyre wear.
Emissions of BaP in the EU-28 and the EEA‑33 countries have increased by 21 % and 19 % respectively, between 2003 and 2012 (Figure 3.1 bottom). The main emission sector is the 'commercial, institutional and household fuel combustion' sector, responsible for 85 % of the total emissions of BaP in 2012 in the EU-28 (see Figure 3.3). This sector increased its emissions of BaP by 24 % between 2003 and 2012.
