» NCG is a network of major cancer centers, research
institutes, patient groups and charitable institutions
across India.
» NCG was formed in August 2012.
» Funded by Govt of INDIA

» Its Purpose is to establish
1. Uniform standards of patient care for prevention,
diagnosis, & treatment of cancer.
2. Providing specialized training and education in
oncology.
3. Facilitating collaborative basic, translational and
clinical research in cancer.

» At present has 140 member institutions.

resources to the constituent centers.
» Exchange of expertise & mentoring between the
centers.
» Training of cadres of physicians and paramedical
staff

13. Travelling school of pathology
» Workshops conducted in member institutions
about quality surgical pathology reporting.

14. Collaborative research
» Establish research networks (like RTOG &
ESMO), which facilitate high-quality
multicentric cancer research aimed at
addressing India's unique problems.
