Hewlett and Packard tossed a coin to decide whether the company they founded would be called H-P or P-H. Packard won the toss but named their electronics manufacturing enterprise the “ Hewlett- Packard Company”.,[object Object]

HP specializes in developing and manufacturing computing, data storage, and networking hardware, designing software and delivering services.,[object Object]

HP incorporated on August 18, 1947 and went public on November 6, 1957.

HP’s very first financially successful product was a precision audio oscillator , the Model HP200A. ,[object Object]

From the 1940s until well into the 1990s the company concentrated on making electronic test equipment. ,[object Object]

Products of HP with Sony and the Yokogawa Electric companies were not a big success.

HP and Yokogawa formed a joint venture (Yokogawa-Hewlett-Packard) in 1963 to market HP products in Japan.

In 1970’s HP is identified as the worlds first marketed personal computer. Called “ HP- Desktop Calculator”
