Trusting and following Jesus. We need to trust God that He will help us, guide us, teach us, that he will bring good, that He will provide for us and that He will give us the power we need to do all that He has called us to do
2. He takes no pleasure in the strength
of a horse or in human might. No,
the Lord’s delight is in those who
fear him, those who put their hope in
his unfailing love.
Psalm 147:10-11
3. Ever since the days of your ancestors,
you have scorned my decrees and failed
to obey them. Now return to me, and I will
return to you,” says the Lord of Heaven’s
Armies.“But you ask, ‘How can we return
when we have never gone away?
Malachi 3:7
4. Trust God to help you
If you love me, keep my commands. And
I will ask the Father, and he will give you
another advocate to help you and be with
you forever— the Spirit of truth.
John 15:15-17
5. Trust God to lead you
But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes,
He will guide you into all the truth. He will
not speak on his own; he will speak only
what he hears, and he will tell you what is
yet to come.
John 16:13
6. Trust God to work good
Jesus shouted to the crowds, “If you
trust me, you are trusting not only me,
but also God who sent me. For when you
see me, you are seeing the one who sent
me. I have come as a light to shine in this
dark world, so that all who put their trust
in me will no longer remain in the dark.
John 12:44-46
7. Trust God to teach you
But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom
the Father will send in my name, will
teach you all things and will remind you
of everything I have said to you.
John 14:26
8. Trust God to give you the power
But you will receive power when the Holy
Spirit comes on you; and you will be my
witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea
and Samaria, and to the ends of the
earth.”
Acts 1:8
9. Trust God to provide for you
So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we
eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What
shall we wear?’ For the pagans run
after all these things, and your
heavenly Father knows that you need
them.
Matthew 6:31-32
10. Trust God to provide for you
But seek first his kingdom and his
righteousness, and all these things will
be given to you as well. Therefore do
not worry about tomorrow, for
tomorrow will worry about itself. Each
day has enough trouble of its own.
Matthew 6:33-34
