2.  Gary Rixson serves as the Vice President of Business

work, Mr. Rixson is a supporter of Higher M-Pact, an
organization that aids at-risk young adults in Kansas
City through community education and direct support.
The Leaders of Tomorrow program is one way that
Higher M-Pact reaches out directly to youth. Available
to children between the ages of 11 and 18, Leaders of
Tomorrow pairs participants with mentors in the city.

3.  The program encourages a “mentor vs. mentor” relationship
by educating the young participants in better
communicating what they hope to achieve from the
relationship rather than engaging passively.
Among the program’s offerings are life, job, and social skills
training, as well as guidance counseling. The group and
individual counseling services ensure mentor relationships
are built on trust and honesty and help youth improve
decision-making and cognitive thinking skills.
The job shadowing branch of the program introduces teens
to professionals in business and the way businesses are run,
highlighting the importance of further education.
