CLEAR COCKTAILS
Fresh lime juice & lime slices swirled through help
   to make this a serious sharp but long &
   refreshing mix.

•   2 measures vodka
•   Juice of ½ a lime
•   ½ fresh lime, sliced
•   Lemon flavoured soda-pop

•   Stir the vodka & lime juice over ice in a large
    tumbler with slices of fresh lime. Fill with soda-
    pop to taste.
•   Just the right martini to help you celebrate the
    festive season.

•   3 measures vodka.
•   ½ measure dry vermouth.
•   1 tsp peppermint schnapps.
•   Ice.
•   Fresh mint sprig to decorate

•   Shake the liquid ingredients over ice until
    well frosted. Strain into a chilled cocktail
    glass & dress with a sprig of mint.
VODKATINI
•   The celebrated 007 popularized the use of vodka as the
    base of martini & is now accepted as an incredibly stylish
    & tasty alternative.
•   1 measure of vodka
•   Ice
•   Dash of dry vermouth
•   Lemon peel twist to decorate
•   Pour the vodka over a handful of ice in a mixing glass.
    Add the vermouth & stir well. Dress with the twist of
    lemon peel.
WHITE SPIDER
•   As subtle as the finest spider web, the white crème de
    menthe hides in the corners of this clear cocktail

•   Cracked ice
•   1 measure vodka
•   1 measure white crème de menthe

•   Put some cracked ice into a mixing glass. Pour the vodka
    & crème de menthe over the ice. Stir well & strain into a
    chilled cocktail glass.
FIFTY FIFTY
•   This is the original version of the martini using equal
    measures of gin & vermouth.

•   2 measures of gin
•   2 measures of vermouth
•   Ice
•   Cocktail olive to decorate

•   Shake the gin & vermouth over ice until frosted. Strain
    into a chilled cocktail glass& dress with the olive.
YELLOW
BRONX
•   Like Manhattan, the Bronx has been immortalized in cocktail bars
    around the world.

•   2 measures of gin
•   1 measure orange juice
•   ½ measure dry vermouth
•   ½ measure sweet vermouth
•   Cracked ice

•   Pour the gin, orange juice, dry vermouth & sweet vermouth over ice
    in a mixing glass. Stir & strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
ORANGE BLOSSOM
•   During Prohibition gin was often made in the bath tub &
    flavoured with orange juice to conceal its filthy flavour. Made
    with a good quality gin, this drink is delightfully refreshing.

•   2 measures gin
•   2 measures orange juice
•   Cracked ice
•   Orange slice to decorate

•   Shake the gin & orange juice vigorously over ice until well
    frosted. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass & dress with the
    orange slice.
GOLDEN DAWN
•   Like the golden sun rising, the bright red of the grenadine peeps
    through the brandy & orange.
•   ½ measure gin

•   ½ measure Calvados
•   ½ measure apricot brandy
•   ½ measure mango juice
•   Ice
•   Dash grenadine

•   Mix the 1st four ingredients together over ice. Strain into a cocktail
    glass & add a dash of grenadine so the colour ripples through.
•   The comtesse du barry, the mistress or King Louis XV of
    France, was renowned for her extraordinary beauty. This
    delicious concoction is just as dazzling as its famous
    namesake.

•   Dash Pernod
•   Dash angostura bitters
•   2 measures gin
•   1 measure dry vermouth
•   Ice
•    Lemon peel twist, to decorate

•   stir the pernod, bitters, gin & vermouth in a mixing bowl
    with ice. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass & dress with the
    lemon peel.
•   This cooling long drink is a celebrated cocktail & was the
    inspiration for several generations of Collins drinks across
    the globe.

•   3 measures gin
•   2 measures of lemon juice
•   ½ measure of sugar syrup
•   Cracked ice
•   Club soda
•   Lemon slice, to decorate
•
•   Shake the gin, lemon juice & sugar syrup vigorously over ice
    until well frosted. Strain into a tall, chilled tumbler & fill
    with club soda. Dress with a slice of lemon.
ROMPOLE
•   This is Mexico’s version of the better-known Dutch advocaat, a thick, yellow,
    custard treat for the sweet-toothed.
•
•   1 ½ cups sweetened condensed milk
•   1 ¼ cups chilled milk
•   4 egg yolks
•   ¼ tsp vanilla extract
•   2/3 cups vodka
•   ¼ tsp cinnamon, for dusting a cinnamon stick to decorate

•   Reserve the cinnamon & mix all the ingredients in a blender for 45 seconds.
    Strain & chill. Pour into glasses & dust with cinnamon . for a finishing
    touch, use a cinnamon stick as a stirrer.
GREEN
IS THAT ALL
•   And if it were, it should be enough for any cocktail
    connoisseur.
•
•   2 measures of lemon vodka
•   1 measure of triple sec
•   1 measure lemon juice
•   1 egg white
•   Cracked ice
•
•   Shake the liquid ingredients with the egg white over the ice
    until frosted. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
CAIRIROSKA
•   This is a very fresh version of vodka & lime. If you find it too sharp
    add more sugar to taste
•
•   1 lime cut into 6 wedges
•   3 tsp confectioners sugar
•   A really good slug of vodka
•   Crushed ice

•   Put the lime wedges & sugar into a tumbler& mash them to release
    the juice. Pour on the vodka & add the crushed ice to fill the glass.
    For a maximum kick drink through a straw.
THE AWOL
•   As the name suggests, you wont last long drinking many
    of these in an evening.

•   1 measure of melon liqueur, iced
•   ½ measure lime juice, chilled
•   ½ measure vodka, iced
•   ½ measure white rum, iced
•   Ice
•   Stir all the ingredients briefly together over ice & strain
    into a chilled cocktail glass.
ALLIGATOR
•   This delicious variety competes fiercely with its cousin
    the crocodile.

•   2 measures vodka
•   1 measure Mildori
•   ½ measure dry vermouth
•   ¼ tsp lemon juice
•   Ice

•   Pour the ingredients over ice& shake vigorously until well
    frosted. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
CROCODILE
•   This is certainly a snappy cocktail with a bit of a bite. However
    it probably gets its name from its spectacular colour. Midori, a
    Japanese melon-flavoured liqueur, is a startling shade of
    green.
•   2 measures vodka
•   1 measure triple sec
•   1 measure Midori
•   2 measures lemon juice
•   Cracked ice
•   Pour the vodka. Triple sec, Madori & lemon juice over ice &
    shake vigorously until well frosted. Strain into a chilled
    cocktail glass.
MELON STATE BALL
• Even though this is full of healthy orange juice, the
    vibrant green Midori gives it a decent appearance.
•   2 measures vodka
•   1 measure Madori
•   2 measures orange juice
•   Ice
•   Pour the ingredients over ice & shake vigorously
    until well frosted. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
BLUE
BLUE LAGOON

• Let your imagination carry you away while you sink
    into this luxuriously blue cocktail. It has a refreshing
    lemon zing & sparkle too.
•   1 measure blue curacao
•   1 measure vodka
•   Dash fresh lemon juice
•   Lemon-favoured soda pop
•   Pour the blue curacao into a cocktail glass & add the
    vodka. Add the lemon juice & add soda-pop to taste.
BLUE MONDAY
•   The lovely colour & fruit flavour of this cocktail is
    guaranteed to make Monday your favourite day of the
    week.
•   Crushed ice
•   1 measure vodka
•   ½ measure cointreau
•   1 tbsp blue curacao
•   Put the cracked ice into a mixing glass & pour in the
    vodka, cointreau & curacao. Stir well & strain into a
    cocktail glass.
OASIS
• This bright blue shining pool is as refreshing as it
    looks, thanks to lots of ice & refreshing club soda.
•   1 measure blue curacao
•   2 measures gin club soda
•   Ice
•   Lemon wedge to decorate
•   Shake all the liquid ingredients over ice until well
    frosted. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Dress
    with the lemon wedge.
MEDITERRANIAN
•   Whatever the weather, this eye catching drink should
    transport your imagination to the blue skies & seas of the
    Mediterranean. The exotic colour needs no decoration to
    set it off.
•   Ice
•   2 measures gin
•   1 measure blue curacao
•   Lemon flavoured soda-pop
•   Put the ice in a glass & pour the gin & curacao over them.
    Fill with the soda.
SAPPHIRE MARTINI
•   Only a blue diamond could compete whit this.

•   Cracked ice
•   2 measures gin
•   ½ measures blue curacao
•   Cocktail cherry to decorate

•   Put some crushed ice in a mixing glass. Pour the gin &
    blue curacao over. Stir well to mix, then strain into a
    chilled cocktail glass. Dress with the cocktail cherry.
RED
COSMOPOLITAN
• 2 measures vodka
• 1 measure triple sec
• 1 measure fresh lime juice
• 1 measure cranberry juice
• Ice
• Orange peel twist, to decorate
• Shake all the liquid ingredients together till well
   frosted. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Dress
   with the twist of orange.
PEACH FLOYD
•   Shots look stunning in the right type of glass, but as they are
    for drinking down in one, keep them small & have everything
    really well chilled.

•   1 measure peach schnapps
•   1 measure vodka
•   1 measure white cranberry & peach juice
•   1 measure cranberry juice
•   Ice
•   Stir all the liquid ingredients together over ice & pour into an
    iced shot glass.
THE SPRAY
•   If you cant find raspberry vodka, you can make your own
    simply by marinating 10 berries in a bottle of vodka for 12
    hours.
•   1 measure raspberry vodka
•   1 measure framboise
•   1 measure cointreau
•   ¾ measure cranberry juice
•   2 dashes orange bitters
•   1 dash lime cordial
•   1 raspberry
•   Shake the first 6 ingredients together over ice until frosted.
    Strain into a chilled martini glass. Dress with a fresh raspberry.
SEEING RED
•   There is a real kick to this cocktail & the vivid colour
    comes from the cranberry juice.
•   1 measure red vodka
•   1 measure peach schnapps
•   3 measures cranberry juice
•   Crushed ice
•   Club soda
•   Frozen cranberries to decorate
•   Shake the first three ingredients together until well
    frosted. Strain into a tall chilled glass, fill with club soda,
    & floor a few frozen cranberries on the top.
THE BLOOD ORANGE COCKTAIL
• Available only briefly, blood oranges are ideal for
    enhancing the fruity bittersweet of campari.
•   Juice of one blood orange
•   Confectioners sugar
•   1 measure redvodka
•   1 measure campari
•   Cracked ice
•   Rub the rim of the glass with orange juice & dip into
    sugar. Shake the liquid ingredients over ice till well
    frosted. Fill the glass with ice & pour in the mixture
PURPLE
PERFECT LOVE
•   This is the literal translation for an unusual purple
    liqueur flavoured with rose petals, almonds & vanilla.
•   1 measure vodka
•   ½ measure parfair amour
•   ½ measure maraschino
•   Crushed ice
•   Shake all the liqueur ingredients together over ice until
    frosted. Strain into a chilled tall glass with more ice.
POLISH SIDE CAR
• This not only replaces brandy with gin, it replaces
    triple sec with blackcurrant brandy.
•   2 measures gin
•   1 measure blackcurrant brandy
•   1 measure lemon juice
•   Ice
•   Pour the gin, brandy & lemon juice over ice & shake
    till frosted. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
ELK’S OWN
•   This would be the perfect accompaniment to some star-gazing
    under a clear sky.
•   2 measures rye whiskey
•   1 measure ruby port
•   ½ measure lemon juice
•   1 tsp sugar syrup
•   1 egg white
•   Ice
•   Star fruit slice to decorate
•   Shake the ingredients over ice until well frosted. Strain into a
    chilled cocktail glass & dress with a slice of star fruit.

Strain into a tall, chilled tumbler & fill with club soda. Dress with a slice of lemon.

ROMPOLE • This is Mexico’s version of the better-known Dutch advocaat, a thick, yellow, custard treat for the sweet-toothed. • • 1 ½ cups sweetened condensed milk • 1 ¼ cups chilled milk • 4 egg yolks • ¼ tsp vanilla extract • 2/3 cups vodka • ¼ tsp cinnamon, for dusting a cinnamon stick to decorate • Reserve the cinnamon & mix all the ingredients in a blender for 45 seconds. Strain & chill. Pour into glasses & dust with cinnamon . for a finishing touch, use a cinnamon stick as a stirrer.

Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

If you find it too sharp add more sugar to taste • • 1 lime cut into 6 wedges • 3 tsp confectioners sugar • A really good slug of vodka • Crushed ice • Put the lime wedges & sugar into a tumbler& mash them to release the juice. Pour on the vodka & add the crushed ice to fill the glass. For a maximum kick drink through a straw.
