2. Appleseeds Behavioral Center was established in
2013—at a time when most insurance plans
available in the state of Georgia did not provide
coverage of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
3. Families were forced to pay for ABA services out of
pocket, and Appleseeds’ mission was to make
high-quality ABA affordable to those throughout
the Autism community.
4. As 2015 rolled around, everything changed—
particularly with the passage of Ava’s Law.
Effective in July 2015, Ava’s Law mandated insurance
companies regulated by the state of Georgia to
provide coverage for children diagnosed with Autism
all the way through age 7.
5. Additionally, Appleseeds relocated to a much larger
facility, and expanded their services with an Early
Intervention Clinic—one that offers therapy to
children in a friendly, comfortable preschool-like
environment.
6. In 2018, Appleseeds expanded even further with the
opening of two new locations in Georgia (Rome and
Calhoun).
Today, they remain as committed as ever to serving the
needs of those throughout the Autism community.
