Waste is a unwanted (or)unusable material.
Waste is any substance which is discarded after
primary use, or is worthless, defective and of no
use.
EXAMPLE :-Radioactive Waste
Electronic Waste(or)E-Waste, etc.
4. TYPES OF WASTES
There are some wastes which are namely –
1.)Chemical Waste. 5.)Industrial Waste
2.)Domestic Waste. 6.)Bio-Medical Waste
3.)Food Waste. 7.)Organic Waste
4.)Clinical Waste. 8.)Nuclear Waste
8. WASTE SEGREGATION
In the simple terms the waste segregation means
it is the seperation of wet waste and dry waste.
The waste which is unavoidable and materials
which are carried in a vehicle.
9. KINDS OF WASTES
There are two kinds of wastes.They are:-
1.)Wet Waste 2.)Dry Waste
1.)Wet Waste :- The waste which includes fruit’s
waste,oils,leaves,choclolates covers,
vegetable’s waste,etc.
2.)Dry Waste :-The waste which includes bottles,
covers,sippons,syringes,cups,pens,pencils,
etc.

11. WASTE HIERARCHY
The waste hierarchy refers to the 3R’S which are
REDUCE , REUSE , RECYCLE.
It is which it classifies waste management
. strategies according to their desirability in terms
of Waste Minimization.
The waste hierarchy is the cornerstone of more
waste minimization strategies.
13. WASTE MANAGEMENT
Waste Management was invented by three people .They were:-
1.)WAYNE HUIZENGA
2.)DEAN BUNTROCK
3.)LARRY BECK
It was discovered in the year 1968.
Waste Management is a management which is
to manage the waste materials of that particular
place.
It may be household , industrial and commercial
etc.
It is also their duty and responsibility to minimize
the unused wastes.
20. STEPS TO REDUCE SOLID WASTE
Use both sides of paper.
Wash plastic containers,jars and reuse them
again.
Buy things in plastic or glass containers that can
be reused.
Reuse the boxes which are in useful condition.
Use reusable containers for food instead of
using disposable boxes,plastic wrap,foil or sand-
wich bags.
21. SIMPLE WAYS TO REDUCE WASTE
IN YOUR HOME :-
Get to know the rules of recycling.
Ditch or reduce the use of plastic bags.
Learn to repair the working materials instead of
discarding them.
Stop or avoid using disposable plates.
