Verb to Be. It conjugates into 3 different

Grammar
We can use the present tense of be to ask and talk
about name, nationality, age, and job.
I´m a student. She isn’t from France.
“Are you sally?” “Yes, I am.”
“What´s his name?” “It´s Tom.”
“How old is Harry?” “He´s 20.”
We can contract some questions word with is.
What´s her name? (What’s = what is)
Where´s he from? (Where´s= where is)
Who´s she? (Who ´s = who is)
How’s your sister? (How´s = how is)
We use full forms in affirmative short answers.

Personal pronouns Possessive adjectives

It its
We our
You your
They their
The possessive adjective is always followed by ( an adjective +) a noun. It is never used on its own.
The personal subject pronoun replaces a noun
as the subject of a sentence. The possessive
adjective replaces the possessive form of a
noun.
Mary is a teacher.
She is from Canada. (She = Mary)
Her friend is from Australia (Her = Mary´s)
My favorite movie is The Aviator. Her is Hero.
“Is this your dog? It´s cute.” (it´s= it is)
“Thanks. Its name is spot”. (Its= the dog’s)
Don’t confuse its with it´s.!

It is never used on its own. The personal subject pronoun replaces a noun as the subject of a sentence. The possessive adjective replaces the possessive form of a noun. Mary is a teacher. She is from Canada. (She = Mary) Her friend is from Australia (Her = Mary´s) My favorite movie is The Aviator. Her is Hero. “Is this your dog? It´s cute.” (it´s= it is) “Thanks. Its name is spot”. (Its= the dog’s) Don’t confuse its with it´s.!
