• A sanguine is an extrovert who has a high need to include and be
close to others.
• A sanguine is always cheerful, hopeful, confident and expects the
best in everything he/she does in life. They always enjoy life
• A sanguine never thinks of failure or loss, but sees everything as
an opportunity
• They are authoritative or autocratic

• Leaders and directors – seeking to be in control of situations, to be on top, to
be the best
• Firm and forceful in their approach to problems, believing in 'tough love', and
try to 'help' others by challenging them to prove themselves, as they
themselves would
• Filling any power/leadership vacuum
• Love competition, but hate to lose
• Passionate about a cause and will challenge any authority that stands in the
way
• Can feel that they can define and understand and advise others, as this
makes them feel more superior, but dislike being analysed themselves

• Submissive, indecisive, calm and introverted
• As un-judgmental, friendly and loyal are core traits they tend to have the
same friends for a long time
• Always putting others first, or complying when others are putting their own
needs first
• Excellent listeners who offer supportive feedback over criticism, and tend not
to talk too much about themselves.
• Obediently happy to serve, they quietly get the job done, although they
often rely on others to motivate them
• Good insight into situations as they don’t get sucked into the emotion and
can often see the bigger picture, but unless pressed they may not offer their
perspective as they don’t want to risk offending others
• Can be defensive, and have a lot of excuses for their procrastinating

• Emotionally sensitive, perfectionistic introverts
• Idealists wanting things to be a certain way, and are distressed when they are
not
• Thirst for learning and understanding, and ask lots of inquisitive questions
• Think and plan before they act, and are not rash or impulsive
• Give attention and dedicate a lot of time to only a couple interests
• Argue using reason, evidence, logic and explanations, delivered analytically
with the purpose of setting things right rather than asserting dominance
• They don’t beat around the bush, but go right to the heart of the matter
• Enjoy their own company, but still enjoy the company of the specially
selected friends
• Moved deeply by beauty or distress, and can hold onto emotions and
grudges for a long time, but use guilt over bluntly insulting someone
• Can have unrealistically high standards of themselves and others leading to
them being self-depreciative and critical of others
