6. The UK standard for First Aid in the workplace. The First Aid
at Work course is recognised as the highest qualification for
workplace First Aid.
It is suitable for workplaces with large staff numbers, higher risk
environments or where a risk assessment has identified previous
medical history or risk of conditions covered only in the First Aid
at Work course. You can use our chart opposite to see some of the
conditions only covered in the First Aid at Work course
FIRST AID AT WORK
The Emergency First Aid at Work course covers the treatment of
immediately life threatening conditions. This includes disorders
of breathing, bleeding, burns and shocks.
The course also covers the management of an incident and
ensuring the First Aider is aware of the right help required and
when to contact them.
EMERGENCY FIRST AID AT WORK
FIRST AID TRAINING
The Re-qualification course is a two day course and is intended
only for those who have already undertaken the First Aid at Work
course.
Participant should still have a valid certificate and it is
recommended that learners book a re-qualification course within
6 months of their certificate expiring.

8. An in depth two-day course leading to a qualification as Mental
Health First Aider. This is suitable for any person who intends to
act as a Mental Health First Aider.
This course will require no previous experience or knowledge but
an employer should give proper consideration to the qualities
of the person being trained as a Mental Health First Aider as
someone who could be approached by a colleague if they require
support.
MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AIDER
Introduction course. This provides awareness training for
recognising and responding to Mental Health issues. This is
suitable for all employees and colleagues.
This course does not qualify a person as a Mental Health First
Aider. It should, however, be considered an essential course for all

PAEDIATRIC FIRST AID
We supply a Paediatric First Aid course and an Emergency
Paediatric First Aid course which both meet the OFSTED Early
Years and Childcare Register requirements.
The Paediatric First Aid course covers emergency situations that
may occur in the care of babies, young children and infants. The
course is appropriate for those working with foundation age
children who want training in emergency care of them.
The emergency course covers immediate life-threatening
situations and managing an emergency. The course includes
training variants for babies, children and infants such as choking
and CPR.
COMMUNITY FIRST AID
Green Cross Training are committed to making our communities
safer.
We offer a range of courses that are delivered in schools,
community centres and Gp surgeries throughout the UK.
We hope that we are never in the position that our friends, family
and loved ones require emergency first aid. The reality is that
with only 5% of British adults having First Aid training, help

AED
The presence of an AED alongside the right training can improve
the chance of survival in the event of cardiac arrest by as much as

Our CPR & AED course provides training on how to perform good
