 A dress code is a set of standards that companies develop
to help provide their employees with guidance about what
is appropriate to wear to work.
 Objective of company.
 Dress code has equally positive and negative effects, dress
codes may or may not be necessary for professional
performance.
 Who are your customers?
COLLECTION OF DATA
 In a 1998 survey by USA Today, 64 percent of
respondents said they work more efficiently when
wearing formal dress.
 41% felt casual dress improved
worker productivity.
 51% said they did their best work
when dressed formally.
 44% said that absenteeism
have increased.
ANALYSIS OF DATA
 Dressing formally can lead to better attitudes about
work, greater spontaneity, and improved relations
among employees.
 Many employees also believe formal dress makes them
more effective.
 Dressing formally could
cause an employee to
feel less focused.
CONCLUSION
 The reality is that a casual dress code has both
positive and negative impacts on employee
productivity.
 Many companies who offer casual dress benefits to
their employees.
 There’s no absolute
scientific study to prove that
attire impacts productivity.

Does Office Attire Boost Employee Performance

INTRODUCTION  A dress code is a set of standards that companies develop to help provide their employees with guidance about what is appropriate to wear to work.  Objective of company.  Dress code has equally positive and negative effects, dress codes may or may not be necessary for professional performance.  Who are your customers?
  • 3. COLLECTION OF DATA  In a 1998 survey by USA Today, 64 percent of respondents said they work more efficiently when wearing formal dress.  41% felt casual dress improved worker productivity.  51% said they did their best work when dressed formally.  44% said that absenteeism have increased.
  • 4. ANALYSIS OF DATA  Dressing formally can lead to better attitudes about work, greater spontaneity, and improved relations among employees.  Many employees also believe formal dress makes them more effective.  Dressing formally could cause an employee to feel less focused.
  • 5. CONCLUSION  The reality is that a casual dress code has both positive and negative impacts on employee productivity.  Many companies who offer casual dress benefits to their employees.  There’s no absolute scientific study to prove that attire impacts productivity.
