CRAVING AND HUNGER WHICH LEADS TO POOR FOOD CHOICES AND BINGE
EATING LATER ON DURING THE DAY.
BUT MAKE SURE THEY ARE HEALTHY BREAKFAST SUCH AS GREEN SMOOTHIE,
OATMEALS, FRUIT AND YOGURT SALAD, VEGGIE OMELET ETC. NO BACON EGG

EXERCISE!
Sorry guys, don’t think you can get away with this one. But all
you need is 20 minutes a day! You can even break up into 2 10
minute sessions. Ensure you do both HIIT style of interval
training, which is proven by science that burn tons of calorie in
very short amount of time, and keeps your body in calorie
burning mode hours after the exercise.
Also weight training to build muscles, we all know muscle burn
more calories than fat, so you want pump up the iron to pump up
your metabolism, so you can burn off more of what you eat
without doing anything extra!
DRINK APPLE CIDER VINEGAR BEFORE EACH MEAL
Mix 1 tablespoon of organic apple cider
vinegar with 1 glass of water (you can add 1
teaspoon of honey if you don’t like the
taste) and drink just before each main meal.
Apple cider vinegar does not only detox
your organs and alkalize the body, it also
curbs the appetite, makes you feel fuller
faster.
START WITH A BOWL OF LEAFY SALAD
Before you going for the good stuff, have a plate of leafy salad first, just
watch your dressing, balsamic vinegar with olive oil is always a good
option. Avoid salad with heavy creamy dressings like those pasta salads
we all love.
CHOOSE GRILLED OVER FRIED, AND SEAFOOD OVER MEAT
Seafood are high in protein and lower in calories than most meat. Just make sure they
are fresh, raw, boiled, or lightly grilled, avoid the deep fried stuff. Of course you can
have few slice of turkey and ham! What’s Xmas without turkey and ham! Just keep your
portion in control, and ditch the gravy/sauces. Flavor with lemon, cayenne pepper,
mixed herbs etc. They not only add flavor to your food, but also nutritious and boost
your metabolism.
CHOOSE LOW SUGAR DESSERTS
A Holiday meal isn’t complete
without some dessert. They don’t
need to be heavy sundaes, or
Xmas puddings, or chocolate cake.
Here are just some other healthier
choices but also will hit the sweet
spot.
• Fruit kebabs
• Fruit dipped in dark chocolate
• Yogurt berry parfait
• Fruit pop sides
LOW-CAL ALCOHOL DRINKS
Don’t you hate those health gurus who tells you to
cut the booze? How is it a celebration without
alcohol?! I’m even gonna bother tell you to stick to
one or two, just pace yourself and choose
healthier mixers and cocktails, go to low carb,

My favorite holiday healthy cocktails include
• Vodka Cranberry (low sugar cranberry juice)
• Whisky sour (half sugar)
• Mojito (half sugar)
• Champaign with orange juice (half half)
• Wine with sparkling water
• Tonic and soda water with few slices of
cucumber
DRINK A LOT OF TEA
Drink a lot of tea in-between food and
alcoholic drink. This does not only
hydrate your body, slow down the
absorption of alcohol but also boost
the metabolism and burn fat! Best
options are green tea (full of anti-
oxidant ECCC), Oolong tea (great to
cut the grease from food) and
peppermint tea (aid digestion).
DETOX AFTER HOLIDAY IS OVER!
Ok, now the fine is over, you need a kick start to new
year’s healthy resolution. A quick detox is the way to
go. You don’t have to go on a water or juice only diet.
Even just ditch alcohol, sugar, dairy, wheat and red
meat for a week will make a big difference. After a
week, your weight should be back to pre-holiday
weight, and you will feel much more energetic.
Of course if you want to kick-up a notch, go for a
juice fast, this can be anywhere between 3 days to 2
