Comenius: "Sustainable development at a local Scale: are we green?

1. Last 27th October 2011, the students from 4th ESO ( Compulsory Secondary Education), visited the desalination plant at San Pedro del Pinatar, a coastal town not far away from La Unión. Thanks to this school trip, we had the opportunity of watching the process that shows how salty water becomes sweet. The desalination process of sea water is “inverse osmosis” and the salt water intake takes place 2 kilometers from the coast. In my opinion the school trip was fantastic because we learnt a lot of things we didn´t know before. By Rita Cadenas López ( 4º A)
