Workspaces for Digital Nomads as part of Vagabond Lifestyles is the freedom to work from just about anywhere. And of course, Digital Nomad is the ultimate term for location-less workers who can set up shop wherever they happen to be at the moment. Like having a home based office, a Digital Nomad literally have many options as for where to remote work
2. Part of the Vagabond Lifestyles is the freedom to
work from just about anywhere!
3. Public & College Libraries
Cheapest Spot In Town!
• In just about every town or city in a
develop country you will find a College, a
University or a Public Library.
• They provide just enough background
noise and human interaction to make them
more interesting than your empty home.
• The biggest advantage is that these
spaces are completely free (no need to
buy the obligatory cup of joe), and include
free WiFi.
Check with the front desk before settling into a cubicle
in the corner to make sure their internet is accessible to
the public and not just to students with special logins.
4. Coffee Shops
• Coffee shops are an obvious choice for
anyone looking to get out of the house
for a few hours of caffeine-fueled work.
• Don’t forget to purchase a coffee or
scone every few hours (you will go
hungry anyway). Coffee shops are, after
all, businesses which won’t exist
without our patronage.
There are some restaurants or fast food places that
may have free WIFI but even though they are
certainly a resource, I don’t like to recommend
them, because they get busy and it can be hard to
find a table during the morning and afternoon
rushes.
My Very Favorite!
5. Bookstore
Fiction, Maybe Not!
• Independent bookstores, but also the
big-box stores, are great places to
retreat for a few hours of work and most
of them have free WIFI.
• Like a coffee shop, you’ll want to make
sure you spend a little bit of money
every time you work from a bookstore.
• Even if you buy a new book every day,
it’s still probably cheaper than renting a
co-working space.
6. Friend-Filled Destinations
• Have friends in many of your
destinations and many of them either at
their homes or work locations have
office facilities with WiFi.
• If you’re able to travel, take advantage
of your ability to work from anywhere
and go see some friends.
• You’ll (hopefully) get a few free days of
room and board, catch up with friends,
make some fun memories, and
continue to get your work done.
Another Of My Very Favorite!
7. Hostels, Hotels and other
Accommodations
To Work or Not To Work…
• Now a day’s most of the travel
accommodations such as hostels,
hotels, B&B’s, etc., have WiFi.
• Even when hotels charge for WiFi
chances are that they have open (free of
cost) WiFi in their lobby.
• I personally like Coffee Bars with WiFi
but my second best is hotels’ lobbies.
Also hotels that cater the business
class client tend to have business
centers for their guest.
8. Coworking Offices
• These are professionally-managed
office spaces and are most often found
in major cities throughout the world.
• If you need a truly professional
alternative to your home office, this is
the option for you.
• You can either rent space at a
communal table, a cubicle, or a private
office depending on your need.
Great For Brainstorming!
