  3. 3. How can we BUILD a better STRATEGY to increase our INFLUENCE with KIDS and FAMILIES? We define STRATEGY as simply, “a plan of action with an end in mind.”
  4. 4. When you take THE LIGHT OF THE CHURCH and combine it with THE LOVE OF THE FAMILY you increase the potential to influence a kid’s life
  5. 5. CHURCH + HOME = GREATER IMPACT LIGHT + LOVE = GREATER IMPACT That means YELLOW + RED = ORANGE
  6. 6. Two COMBINED influences make a GREATER IMPACT than just two influences.
  7. 7. THINK STRATEGY
  8. 8. It’s the effectiveness of your strategy, not just the scope of your mission that ultimately helps determine your success.
  9. 9. ‣How are you WORKING AS A TEAM? ‣Be SIMPLE & ALIGNED ‣How often do your teams meet? THINK STRATEGY
  10. 10. THINK MESSAGE THINK STRATEGY
  11. 11. Just remember, what you teach doesn’t matter simply because it’s true. It matters when you make it matter to the listener.
  12. 12. Just because everything in the Bible is equally true doesn’t mean everything in the Bible is equally important.
  13. 13. Just remember, you shouldn’t prioritize your content based on how adults feel. You need to prioritize based on how kids learn.
  14. 14. ‣How are you COMMUNICATING TRUTH? ‣Be SELECTIVE, RELEVANT, AUTHENTIC, REPETITIVE ‣How strategically do you recycle core insights? THINK MESSAGE THINK STRATEGY

  19. 19. The best thing parents can spend on their children is time—not money.
  20. 20. What happens at home matters more than what happens at church.
  21. 21. The difference between promised ideas and productive results is most typically a good plan
  22. 22. The church can preach, the school can teach, but the home must convert sermons and lessons into the way of life.
  23. 23. Our kids need to see us kiss more and cuss less

  26. 26. It’s easier for kids to get over what you say; than it is for them to get over what God does through them.
  27. 27. Too many kids and teens suffer from loneliness because they are sitting instead of serving.
