Editor's Notes

  1. Ladies & Gentlemen it’s an honor to have such an opportunity presenting one of the biggest ,sophisticated and architectural , innovative projects of the region to you. In this era we believe it is time to broad the ways we can close nations together by civilized means.nk
  2. The 18th largest country in the world in terms of area at 1,648,195 km2 . It is a country of particular geostrategic significance owing to its location in the Middle East and central Eurasia. Tehran is the capital, the country's largest city and the political, cultural, commercial and industrial center of the nation. Iran holds an important position in international energy security and world economy as a result of its large reserves of petroleum and natural gas.
  3. Iran has one of the highest urban population growth rates in the world. Tehran, the capital, is the country's largest city and the second most populous city in the Middle East after Cairo. Iran has another city, Mashhad, with a population near 3 million. Mashhad's population represented an increase of 110 percent since 1976. Iran's other major cities include Esfahan, Tabriz, and Shiraz. Same as Mashhad, these cities have experienced relatively rapid growth since the mid-1950s. All three of these cities are important manufacturing centers, especially Esfahan, where many of Iran's heavy industries are concentrated.  Bushehr and Bandar Abbas are the chief seaport of the country. Source: U.S. Library of Congress
  4. Source: World Bank Iran is the second largest economy in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region after Saudi Arabia, with an estimated Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of US$D 406.3 billion in 2014. It also has the second largest population of the region after Egypt, with an estimated 80.8 million people in July 2014.  Iran's economy is characterized by a large hydrocarbon sector, small scale agriculture and services sectors, and a noticeable state presence in manufacturing and financial services. ----- Meeting Notes (15-05-03 13:30) ----- `
  5. Concentration of population is in Tehran and karaj which the IMCC’s project are located in.
  6.  The demographic profile of the country is characterized by a disproportionately high youth population which are well educated and brand conscious.
  7. The most important happenings in 2014: 5+1 negotiations There is no doubt that a gradual lifting of sanctions will pave the way for greater trade and investment ties between Iran and the rest of the world, especially the Western nations. In the medium term (three to five years), there will be a new balance and Iran will gradually move toward importing raw materials and intermediary goods to boost its domestic production. At the same time, the growth of Iran’s domestic industry will boost the country’s export potential, which is part of the current administration’s export-led growth strategy. In such an environment, it could be expected that in the medium term, the country’s economy would grow at a 6-7% rate, especially as it continues to monetize its oil and gas potential. 2. inflation rate Control Figures indicate that at the moment, Iran's point-to-point inflation stands at 16.8%. President Hassan Rouhani took office as Iran's president when 35.1-percent of inflation had hit Iran's economy. Curbing inflation was one of the major promises by President Rouhani during his presidential campaign. Under the previous administration, inflation skyrocketed to cross 44%. The economic team of the new administration immediately checked the growth of inflation and slowed its rise. Experts say that various factors need to be considered to control inflation: stabilizing foreign currencies, pursuing the policy of détente with other countries and capping the decade-long nuclear dispute. 3. The relative stability of the exchange rate The value of the Iranian Rial is stable, with atight control by the central bank, which manages demand through state ownership of oil export earnings, and oversight of monetary flows.  4. Reduce economic depression So it is the Beginning of a new era of relationships between Iran and other countries

  9. Source: RSM International (May 2009) Strategic Location: A unique geographical location at the heart of a cross-road connecting the Middle East, Asia and Europe, empowered by many inter- and trans-regional trade, customs, tax and investment arrangements Market Potentials and Proximity: Vast domestic market with a population of 80 million growing steadily as well as quick access to neighboring markets with approximately 300 million inhabitants Labor Privileges: Large pool of trained and efficient manpower at very competitive costs in a diversified economy with an extensive industrial base and service sector Developed Infrastructure: Territory developed networking in the areas of telecommunication, roads and railways across the country Low Utility and Production Cost: Diversified range of energy, telecommunication, transportation, as well as public utilities
  10. After several years of negotiations, Preferential trade agreement between the two countries was signed, in January(2014) . The Islamic Republic of Iran granted discounts on custom tariffs of 125 industrial items to the Republic of Turkey. This agreement was conducted on January 2015. According to this agreement the volume of trade between Iran and Turkey is expected to increase to $30 billion.
