Know like and trust - Adrian Fleming
http://AdrianFleming.com
Hello, I’m Adrian Fleming, I’ve lived in the US too and work with people from places as far away as China, India, Romania and plenty of other countries too, and there’s a single rule that applies in all of these places that I’d like you to use to get better results, not just on a business level but a personal one too, I’m sure you’ve heard it before too, but maybe not applied it to every situation where you come in to contact with other people. So what phrase sums this up that you’ve probably heard before, that I want to help you apply in to other areas too? It’s “People buy form those they Know, Like and Trust”
Let’s just start with the logic, because no matter what language people speak and how they live, this is a great guiding principle, it’s also far more powerful in areas outside of sales. http://adrianfleming.com/know-like-trust/
Let’s keep it simple and just say, if people don’t know who you are then how can you communicate with them?
Second, if you don’t like somebody then spending time with them is not enjoyable and neither party gets the most out of the relationship.
And last but not least, trust is critical in more than just sales, you wouldn’t take advice from somebody you didn’t trust, you wouldn’t be friends with somebody you didn’t trust. Trust is about keeping your work, adding value to those you have any sort of relationship with. Trust is not just beneficial it’s essential. http://adrianfleming.com/know-like-trust/
Now I’m hearing you say, figuratively speaking, that you have bought from people you didn’t really like because you have little or no option and that you may know a few people you are not 100% sure you can trust, but in each case it hardly makes for the best relationship, and life is about relationships, whether you are buying, selling, learning, teaching, working or anything else you might do.
So a simple strategy to help others know like and trust you is a really good skill in marketing and being an entrepreneur for two reasons, one you can build and foster relationships but two, you can actually repel those who are not a good fit and not have to waste time, money and effort on them, so let me give you one of my strategies so you can apply and profit fro it immediately.
The strategy is Story Telling, it’s how we have communicated for centuries, from the days of cave paintings, through to Shakespeare and today through all the media channels we have at our disposal. http://adrianfleming.com/know-like-trust/

2. I’m Adrian Fleming and as you can
probably tell from my accent I’m
from the UK.
3. But I’ve lived in the US too and work with people
from places as far away as China, India, Romania
and plenty of other countries too…
4. …and there’s a single rule that applies in all of
these places that I’d like you to use to get better
results, not just on a business level but a personal
one too…
18. Now I’m hearing you say, figuratively speaking,
that you have bought from people you didn’t really
like because you have little or no option and that…
19. …you may know a few people you are not 100%
sure you can trust, but in each case it hardly
makes for the best relationship.
20. And life is about relationships, whether you’re
buying, selling, learning, teaching, working or
anything else you might do.
21. So a simple strategy to help others know, like and
trust you is a really good skill in marketing and
being an entrepreneur for two reasons.
27. So you need to know your story and how you can
use that story to connect with others so they know,
like and trust you, in business as well as personal
situations.
28. You need to have a story that simply says who you
are and why you do what you do, so this can be
tailored to specific situations.
29. Your story doesn’t need to stay exactly the same
every time you tell it, because people only need to
hear what’s relevant to them…
30. ..any more is a waste and will diminish results
because what’s relevant to them is what’s most
important to building a relationship, especially to
start with.
31. The second part of the Story Telling strategy is all
about involving your audience, whether that’s one
person or 1,000s at a time in your story…
32. …it’s a really powerful technique - I’ll show you
how to do that in a moment.
33. Obviously your story needs to be true, it needs to
be focused and strategic for your goals, this way
you attract the right people while repelling those
who are not a right fit and then…
34. …your story must follow an approach that I
believe every marketing pitch must take…
46. What would it be like if every day you woke up full
of energy, free of stress and excited about what
the day had in store?
47. The reason I ask this is, that’s what I ask myself on
a regular basis as an entrepreneur, because…
48. …I want to constantly, not just achieve all of those
things, but improve them too…
49. …I want more energy, less stress and more
excitement about the day ahead and being an
entrepreneur makes this all possible.
50. For over 20 years I have been involved in
marketing…
51. …building up a range of skills and expertise that
helped others profit and along the way I started to
invest in ideas…
52. …my own and other people’s too, because the
idea of being an entrepreneur has always
interested me.
53. But things didn’t always go well. In fact even
though I’ve had a few successes, I’ve also ended
up with a few failures too, some of which were
expensive…
